4.13) THE EVER-BURNING FIRE

tmnt-revenge-of-the-triceratons-1280jpg-68443a_1280wThe Turtles must overcome impossible odds like the Triceratons and Lord Dregg in order to obtain the final Black Hole Generator piece that is located on the lava planet of Magdomar, guarded by the cosmic alligator snapping turtle-like beast Tokka. In the end, they lose all three pieces and Mozar calls them at the end saying they are going to use the black hole generator on Earth.

4.14) EARTH’S LAST STAND

As the team finally reaches Earth, the Fugitoid reveals a horrible secret about his past. He reveals that he was the creator of the Heart of Darkness. At the end of the episode, the turtles warn Splinter about Shredder’s betrayal, while Fugitoid flies himself and his ship into the Triceraton mothership along with the Heart of Darkness to destroy it; taking the Triceratons and himself down with it. The Turtles, April and Casey mourn his ultimate sacrifice for their world. However, at the end of the episode, his head reactivates in the Triceraton rubble.

4.15) CITY AT WAR

Weeks after the Triceratons were stopped, the Turtles now celebrates April’s full transition as a kunoichi. They find out Karai has returned and she vowed to restore the Foot Clan and undo the damage the Shredder has done to the Clan with the help of her old friend from Japan, Shinigami. It is revealed that Shredder is alive but gravely injured from the previous episode who now uses mutagen provided by Stockman to speed up his recovery and to further increase his strength.

4.16) BROKEN FOOT

When Leonardo secretly allies himself with Karai who now has Foot Soldiers of her own he gets himself into deeper danger than he could have realized, such as Donatello getting injured from explosives and the Turtles and Karai close to death in the Foot Soldier Factory. In the end Karai no longer wants to go after Shredder’s belongings but she wants to go after Shredder himself.

4.17) THE INSECTA TRIFECTA

Raphael must overcome his fear of insects to help the team when they are forced to battle Stockman-Fly’s new insect minions Scumbug and Antrax, who have captured Casey Jones at the time when Shredder was recuperating.

4.18) MUTANT GANGLAND

With the Shredder missing from the city, Don Vizioso desires to take over by having his gangster engineer highly advanced anti-mutant weapons that have been designed to incapacitate the Turtles and their fellow mutants. When Mondo Gecko and Donnie are abducted, it is up to Leo, Mikey, Raph, Slash, Leatherhead, and Dr. Rockwell to save them from being taken apart for the amusement of Don Vizioso. However, they must also deal with Don’s strongest and most lethal of minions: Hammer.

4.19) BAT IN THE BELFRY

Donnie experiments with April’s crystalline fragment of the mystical Sol Star (which she is becoming quite obsessed with, due to its mighty power further developing and rapidly increasing her psychic abilities to tremendous levels), but accidentally supercharges it with electricity, that stirs sudden sentience and autonomy in the crystal fragment. It then uses this to bring four of the main characters from Mikey’s favorite comic book to life.  Mikey easily befriends the heroes Wingnut and Screwloose, and he and Casey join them in stopping crime. But when they tell the two superheroes about the fact that they’re fictional characters, and show them the mystical Sol Star, it causes Wingnut and Screwloose to transform into insane monstrous forms. Meanwhile, Donatello becomes incessantly worried that the Sol Star fragment is gradually affecting April’s mental stability.

4.20) THE SUPER SHREDDER

For the first time, the Turtles encounter something they cannot defeat – the Super Shredder! Now far stronger and more vicious than ever, Shredder has returned to put an end to Splinter and the Turtles once and for all. He captures Karai and challenges Splinter to another duel to the death. Meanwhile, the Turtles and April have to deal with Tiger Claw, Rahzar, and Fishface. In the Undercity, the duel between Splinter and Super Shredder begins to heat up; particularly when Shredder’s right arm begins to go out of control as a dangerous side effect of the highly unstable mutagen dosages Stockman-Fly had warned him of. The Turtles, April and Karai show up to assist Splinter, but are held up Chrome Domes. As Super Shredder prepares for the final blow, Splinter throws a knife at some smoke bombs, which causes the ledge to crumble and collapse, resulting in the longtime rivals to fall 1,000 feet into the abyss below; presumably to their deaths.

4.21) DARKEST PLIGHT

The Turtles (along with April, Casey, and Karai) desperately hunt for Splinter, as Super Shredder is seen to have survived and has Bebop and Rocksteady make sure that Splinter is truly destroyed. Donnie, Mikey, Raph and Casey go to search the Undercity for Splinter with their grappling hooks; unaware that Bebop and Rocksteady are not far. Meanwhile Leo, Karai and April lure Tiger Claw and Super Shredder to the surface. Leo is separated from the two girls and left to battle Super Shredder all on his own. Fortunately, April uses her extraordinarily powerful telekinetic abilities against Super Shredder and succeeds in saving Karai from being crushed by a truck that contains sulfuric acid (thanks to the mystical Sol Star fragment further amplifying her psionic abilities), her eyes glow a bright blue and she smiles malevolently as she hurls it right back at Super Shredder. In the depths of the Undercity, a gravely injured and weakened Splinter is shocked to find the Rat King, who wants him back under his control. But is revealed to have been nothing more than hallucinations due to his fever. He is then rescued by a joyous Donnie and Mikey. At his new lair, Super Shredder demands more mutagen, which Tiger Claw adamantly refuses to allow, as it will destroy his entire being. However, he forces Stockman-Fly to inject the remaining dosages of the unstable mutagen into his system as Tiger Claw watches in terror and fear.tmnt-100th-episode.png

4.22) THE POWER INSIDE HER

Despite Leonardo’s uncertainty, Donatello decides to do tests on April, but only ends up in further increasing her psionic abilities and being possessed by the corrupted spirit of an almighty elder Aeon from within the Sol Star fragment, by the name of Za-Naron. In the end, April succeeds in regaining control, putting an end to Za-Naron and breaking the Sol Star fragment. She apologizes for not listening to what they had warned her about the influence the crystal fragment had on her; particularly Donnie. She assures everyone that even though she can no longer harness the great mystical power of the Aeons, she now has a better understanding of how to control her increasingly powerful psionic abilities on her own.tumblr_inline_okx05xknnz1u81y09_1280

4.23) TOKKA VS. THE WORLD

Tokka, who is shown to have survived the colossal implosion of the dwarf star in “The Ever-Burning Fire”, returns and discovers that her baby boy (whom Raphael adopted as Chompy Picasso) is missing. Determined to get him back, she crash lands on Earth; leading up to an intense battle between her, the Earth Protection Force, and the Turtles who meet up with Bishop, who aids E.P.F. in advancing Earth’s defenses against more extraterrestrial invasions. Raph manages to approach Tokka and explains that he only took her baby because he believed that she had perished, leaving Chompy motherless. Touched by this, Tokka leaves Chompy in Raph’s care and returns to Magdomar. Splinter wonders what Raph will do once Chompy becomes full grown, to which Raph replies that he knows that Chompy is fated to return to the stars one day but will always look out for him until that day comes.Totc

4.24: THE TALE OF TIGER CLAW

A dangerous female assassin and fox-mutant, by the name of Alopex, with super speed, appears who is bent on taking down her own brother, Tiger Claw, with the cursed Blades of Vengeance. The Turtles, April and Casey try to befriend her, but she turns on them and furiously goes after Tiger Claw alone, but not before she curses Casey with the blades. Unfortunately, for her, Tiger Claw has well prepared for her arrival. The Turtles make the scene and distract Tiger Claw while April uses her tanto to break the M.O.U.S.E.R. cage that traps her. In gratitude, Alopex returns one of the blades to Casey, and April uses her telekinetic abilities to borrow Tiger Claw’s ice gun so Casey can destroy them, thus breaking their curse. Alopex pins Tiger Claw and seems prepared to kill him again but decides against it as it is not honorable. Tiger Claw shoots her from behind, but Alopex anticipates this and dodges the blast and slices off his right arm; an act that shocks even the Turtles. As Bebop and Rocksteady take the mutilated Tiger Claw away, Alopex takes off to the city rooftops again.

4.25) REQUIEM

When the Mutagen serum that Super Shredder used to mutate himself had been stabilized, Super Shredder is rid of his weaknesses and he is ready to hunt down Splinter and the Turtles and finish the fierce battle between him and his enemies and he finishes off Splinter by stabbing him and throwing him off the rooftop of the Wolf Hotel where the turtles first fought Shredder. April then uses a psychic blast to throw Super Shredder off the roof and into a garbage truck and Casey seemingly kills him by turning on the crusher. The grieving turtles then carry Splinter’s body to the Shellraiser and depart to lay him to rest. Super Shredder’s hand bursts through the top of the truck, still very much alive.Screen-Shot-2017-02-26-at-1_54_42-PM

5.26) OWARI

After Splinter is buried on the O’Neil farm, his spirit informs Leonardo that Super Shredder is still alive and needs to be stopped. The Turtles, April, and Casey ambush Shredder’s hideout after finding out the location from the injured Karai. They defeat Super Shredder’s henchmen (even turning Baxter Stockman back to normal in the process) before confronting Saki on the roof of the hideout. After Super Shredder knocks almost everyone off the building, Leonardo finally defeats the Shredder and finishes him off. The Turtles return to New York victorious as they prepare for the next imminent threat.tmnt-426-16x9An excellent end to season 4, leaves you wanting more… Roll on Season 5.

“Haters going Hate”(Starfire). The line said by Starfire in the episode Dog Hand, which sets up the general feeling amongst the viewers who have declared this show an abomination, due to not following the original’s compelling story and characters we cared about. Like many, I loved the original Teen Titans, which pretty much was up there with series like Static Shock, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Batman TAS. The original Teen Titans will forever be a part of our childhood, and we as fans will go out in all lengths to defend the honor of the show, but many are missing the point to Teen Titans Go. In doing so, they are missing what seems to be a promising comedic spin on our Titans.Let’s start by stating that this revival of Teen Titans was never meant to follow or be like the original series. Those who thought otherwise did not read up enough on the show’s premise and details. Teen Titans Go takes our Titans and puts them in a skit. Teen Titans Go is a comedic take on the daily lives of our heroes, and has taken a break from all the serious action and storytelling that we all loved in the original. The mistake that fans do is that they take the show too serious and continue to compare it to the original, thus eliminating any chance for the show to strive. Once the public separates the original from the new, then the show’s genius will take off.
Now, you’re probably saying that there is nothing special or great about the show. It’s not funny or the animation is too grade school. That is all fair, perhaps the show is not your cup of tea, but here are some reasons why the show does excel. First reason; believe it or not, this show does a great job by paying tribute to its old counterpart. The episode Pie Bros highlights a familiar villain known as Mother Mae eye, which the old lady uses her customers as the secret ingredient to her delicious pies. Many Teen Titans Go episodes highlight concepts and villains that were present in the original, and put them into a comedic light. Raven’s daddy coming to visit, Jynx hanging out with Raven and Starfire or Speedy challenging Robin for Starfire’s love are but many episodes in which there are hints of our beloved series, but you have to have an open mind to see the hints to the original.
The argument of it being way too kiddy can be true at times, but many miss the wit that the show presents in subtle moments. The episode La Larva de Amor pokes fun at milk mustaches. At one point we have Cyborg look like Mr. T. Raven sports the Gandalf look from the LOR, and Beast boy does his Chewbacca impression. In the episode Tower Power, Cyborg references to VHS, Different Strokes, and The Pointer Sisters. Not to mention that stereotype on Mexicans in the episode La Larva de Armor. These jokes and pokes would fly over a child’s head. Teen Titans go has a little fun for all ages.Lastly, the characters on this show make it all worthwhile. The original voice cast is here and that authenticates the shows respect for the original. Robin is portrayed as being a control freak and has moments of rage and insecurities, sounds familiar. Raven is still emo and has her sarcastic wit that feels like Raven of old. Cyborg and Beast boy are still pals, and they have their fun. Starfire is still innocent at times and loves her Silky. You see, the Titans are still there, but they have transformed into Toon versions, and are put into a new world where doing laundry can be a great evil foe.Everyone has their tastes and by no means is this show perfect. However, the mistake is that going into a premiere with the expectations of a show being just like the original will set you up for disappointment. It’s happen to a lot of revivals that are good, but are ripped because it’s not the original. Teen Titans Go takes a step back from the original and focuses on lighter and wittier moments that make this show hilarious at times. The original will forever be superior, but this new take has its brilliance, you just need to let go for a moment and let the show take its course. Defiantly the show is worth a look or two.

One year after their battle with Shredder, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, still live beneath the sewers, having allowed Vern Fenwick to take the credit for Shredder’s defeat. April O’Neil discovers that a scientist named Baxter Stockman is working for Shredder and that he plans to help Shredder escape from prison. April informs the turtles about this. As Shredder is transferred between prisons with two criminals alongside him, Bebop and Rocksteady, by corrections officer Casey Jones, the Foot Clan attack the convoy transporting him. Despite the turtles interference, Shredder escapes when Stockman uses a teleportation device. But Shredder is hijacked mid-teleport and winds up in another dimension. There, he meets the alien warlord Krang, who tells him about his plans to invade Earth and gives him a mutagenic compound in exchange for his promise to find three components of a machine that Krang sent to Earth long ago, which will open a portal to his dimension when united, and he knows that Shredder and Stockman have the first piece. At the NYPD Casey tells the chief what happened but the chief doesn’t believe him. he decides to go out on his own.

Shredder returns to New York City and recruits Bebop and Rocksteady, who also escaped, and has Stockman use Krang’s mutagen to transform them into powerful animal mutants—a humanoid warthog and rhinoceros. April witnesses their transformation and is able to steal the vial of mutagen. Pursued by the Foot, she is rescued by Casey, who uses hockey gear. In the ensuing battle, the vial of mutagen is taken into police custody. April then introduces Casey to the turtles, and Raphael and Michelangelo make fun of him and pull pranks on him.In the lair, Donatello deduces that the mutagen could be used to turn the turtles into humans, enabling them to live normal lives above ground, but Leonardo refuses and insists on keeping it a secret from the others. However, Michelangelo overhears their conversation and tells Raphael, which enrages Raphael and leading to a fierce argument between the brothers.Leonardo benches Raphael and takes Michelangelo off the mission. In the National Museum in New York, Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady are able to find the second piece and steal it, before Leonardo and Donatello arrive. Still furious, Raphael recruits Michelangelo, April, Casey, and Vern to break into the NYPD police headquarters and retrieve the mutagen.Vern distracts the police, while April and Casey retrieve the mutagen, but the Foot arrive ahead of them. In the ensuing battle, the turtles existence is revealed to the police, who react with fear and hatred. April and Casey intervene and help the brothers escape, but April and Casey are arrested. The police also see on TCRI’s cameras that April stole the mutagen, however Stockman edits the tape so that Bebop and Rocksteady’s mutations aren’t seen.

With Shredder’s forces having already recovered two pieces of the device, the turtles track Bebop and Rocksteady as they recover the final piece in the rainforests of Manaus, Brazil. The turtles confront Bebop and Rocksteady in their jet and in the ensuing battle, the jet is destroyed. After the Turtles battle with Bebop in a river for control of the piece, Rocksteady emerges in a tank and helps Bebop escape with the piece. The turtles return to New York as Shredder and Stockman complete the portal device and open the gateway to Krang’s dimension, through which his modular war machine, the Technodrome, begins to emerge. Shredder betrays Stockman and has his men take him away to their headquarters in Tokyo, but upon entering the Technodrome, Krang immediately betrays Shredder, freezing him and locking him away with his collection of other defeated foes.

Seeing no way to reach the Technodrome with the police pursuing them, the turtles debate over taking the mutagen in order to become humans and fight openly. Though Leonardo agrees to do it, Raphael shatters the vial, realizing they must accept who they are. Upon April’s request, Vern recovers security footage from TCRI that proves Stockman’s and Shredder’s complicity and secures April and Casey’s release, allowing them to set up a meeting between the turtles and police chief Rebecca Vincent, where they convince her that they are not enemies and that they were the ones who took down Shredder in the first place. With the help of the police, the turtles are able to confront Krang aboard the still-assembling Technodrome. Although Krang is able to overpower all 4 turtles easily, the Turtles manage to defeat him when Donatello short circuts Krang’s robotic body. Meanwhile, Casey keeps Bebop and Rocksteady busy and defeats them by locking them in a crate full of grenades, while April and Vern defeat Shredder’s lieutenant Karai and take control of the portal device. The turtles are able to hurl the beacon back through the portal, taking Krang and the rest of the Technodrome with it. April, Casey, and Vern then shut the portal down. As he disappears, Krang swears he will return for revenge.

In the aftermath, Bebop and Rocksteady are taken back into custody, while Stockman remains at large. At night, the Turtles are honored by Vincent and the NYPD, along with April, Casey, and Vern, and gives the turtles golden keys to the city, and she said to give an opportunity to the people and accept them, but the turtles elect to keep their existence a secret from the public, but they will always have help when they want. On top of the Statue of Liberty, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles celebrate their victory over the vanquished Krang.Even though I love the first tmnt film out of the shadows is far better it has just right amount of humor and just right of shell-shockingly awsome action in my opinion this has to be the best tmnt movie yet. Krang is like the one from the tv series and shredder could look a little better but he is still badass,  and of course Bebop and Rocksteady are fantastic and will not disappoint you at all. I highly recommend you go watch this movie.

When this show was first announced I was a bit skeptical. For one is was being released by nickelodeon. I thought that was awesome, but on the other hand it was part of that lackluster CGI cartoon gimmick so I wasn’t overly fond of the art style.
When I finally got the chance to see it any doubts I had were gone. Having grown up with both previous cartoons and the three live- action movies I’ve gotta say this is so far the best thing that bares the novelty of the Ninja Turtles. Although like I said earlier I’m not overly fond of the art style, but I can look around that if the story and characters are good, and luckily they are.
All the classic characters are represented very well; The Turtles, Splinter and The Shredder the whole lot. And I have to hand it to the creators because for the first time the character of April O’Neill is actually believable. I’m sorry for any hardcore fans out there but I’ve never believed April in previous works. I don’t think in reality a head strong business woman would hang out with a bunch of teenage mutants in the sewers. So yeah I really like teenager April sue me.
It’s nice to see that there is finally something I’m that is both fun and satisfying for a life long turtle fan to exist. Because where the new live action movie failed the new cartoon succeeded. And I glad I have such a great show to fall back on.Season 4 takes over from the third season with the Turtles heading into space to stop the Tricerton army, with adventuresses and some excellent guest stars this is a must see volume.

'buried Secrets' by NorthStarRoadThe episode opens with the entire gang ready for battle. Gearing up with cleaning supplies, they decided to clean up the farmhouse. Raph is doing some dusting at the fireplace. Donnie is mopping the floor upstairs. Mikey is cleaning the chandelier. Leo is washing the windows, and April is cleaning the wall in the bathroom. Just then Mikey, who just fell the stairs, accidentally discovers a hidden trap door in that led to the basement. April didn’t know that this house has a basement. Raph opens the door, and the gang descend down through a trap door and explore the dark depths of the cellar and come upon a startling surprise, a Kraang Scout Ship buried right under their house.
Saison 3 épisode 3 - Buried secrets
Donnie takes a closer look at the vessel and observes it may have been buried here for hundreds of years. April wonder whats a Kraang ship doing under her house. Seeking answers for the ship’s presence, the gang open the ship and step in to learn more. Inside the ship, they found what seems to be a containment unit with a human-like form cased inside. Despite Donnie’s warnings on not to touch anything, Mikey accidentally elbows a switch on that opens up the containment unit and releases whatever lies inside. As the box opens and the smoke clears, April gasps in shock, for inside the containment was her long lost mother Awakens to the living world. Mrs.O’Neil screams at the sight of the turtles and started to run away, but Casey told her to clam down, for they are friendly mutants. Mrs. O’Neil wonders who they are until she sees April. Before the Turtles and Casey know it, both women pass out in their arms, the shock being too much for them to stand.File:Possessed Leo (2).PNG
In the living room, everyone calms down while tea is being served, and despite still being freaked out by the turtles Mrs. O’Neil takes a deep breath and begins to explain her story. She explains that the Kraang ship has actually been buried underground for years, even after the farmhouse has been built. Until one day, April’s great grandfather accidentally discovered a sleeping group of Kraangs and woke them up. The Kraang repaid the great grandad for their reawakening by experimenting on his entire bloodline, forming just the right combination of DNA they would eventually need to conquer the world. When April was born, both her and mother and father plotted to escape, but April’s Mom never made it that far. Kirby managed to get April away to the city, while she was recaptured and put into a long sleep. When April’s Mom finishes her tell she hugs April tight, proclaiming that they can finally be a family again, minus her husband since she is told he’s going on safari in Puerto Rico. Everyone seems pleased with the happy reunion between mother and child, but Mikey’s ‘turtle vibes’ start going off the charts. He doesn’t trust Mom, and later that night, when her and April are relaxing on the porch swing, he swings in to attack.

April is horrified by the unexpected assualt, and pins Mikey as her mother runs away crying in fear. Mikey tries to explain the reasons for his sudden attack, but April doesn’t want to hear it and immediately goes rushing after her mother. Mikey follows her in order to make ammends, but is stopped at the farm door by Raph who immediately takes him away for scolding in front of the others. Under the heat of an intense light, Mikey is yelled at by his family and Casey for attacking an innocent. Mikey explains that he doesn’t trust her, but when his brothers bring up the other outrageous stories he’s told in the past (like the time he said tiny elves stole his Nun-Chucks and replaced them with mozzarella sticks, and the other time that him and Ice Cream Kitty enter a break dancing contest) it’s clear that the only way Mikey will make everyone believe is to solve the mystery for himself. Later, April finds her Mom outside, trying to drown out the shock of Michaelanglo’s assualt by reflecting on the pleasant memories of the past. Gripping her daughter’s hands, Mrs. O’Neil says that both she and April should just leave this place, start over, and leave those ‘freaks’ behind. April is reluctant because the Turtles are like a second family to her, and she wouldn’t want to live her life without them. But April’s Mom leaves her no choice, it’s either her real family or the turtle family, and she leaves her daughter to choose.
tmnt-buried-secrets-img-720x405
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Mikey is upset that no one believes him, and plays around with Ice Cream Kitty, giving him a little whip-cream hat when suddenly the feline mutant begins to growl and his, pointing Mikey’s attention to a window. Stepping up to get a good look, Mikey sees April’s Mom sneaking off into the woods and acting suspicious. With encouragement from Ice Cream Kitty, Mikey gets out of the house and silently follows her. While walking, Mom’s head turns revealing a grotesque-looking face that makes Mikey squeal in fright. Stopping by a pond, Mom unscrews the lid on some mutagen she likely stole and pours it into the water until Mikey snags it with his chain and accuses her of being a fake. Mom comments that what Mikey suspected all along was true, she is a servant to the Kraang and will capture April so that she can please her masters. But now since Mikey knows to much, she cannot let him escape so he can reveal the truth.

Mikey screams as he is attacked, and the scene switches to back inside the Kraang Scout Ship where Donnie is busy researching through the cyrogenic files to learn exactly what happened to Mrs. O’Neil when she was captured by the Kraang. During the middle of his research, Mikey comes in and surprises Don, and then April shows up asking Donnie if she had seen her mother hanging around. Donnie denies seeing her, and Mikey assures April that Mom is probably alright, and he will help her look later if she wants. April immediately shoots down Mikey’s offer for asisstance, still angry at the orange-masked turtle for what he did before. When April’s gone, Donnie finally goes back to work, and discovers a shocking secret about the true nature of Mrs. O’Neil. However, before he can go and inform his brothers of this important discovery. Mrs. O’Neil suddenly shows up, breaks the laptop Donnie was on, and attacks Donatello with her Kraang-like arms.

Minutes later, Leo arrives, and sees Donatello standing perfectly fine in front of the computer screens. Thinking he had seen April’s Mom come in here, Leo asks the purple-banded genuis whether he has seen her or not, to which the turtle quickly denies. Leo is hesistant to accept that denail, especailly when he notices the broken labtop lying on the floor. Knowing that Donnie would never willingly do that to technology, Leo quickly makes up the excuse that he was mistaken and turns to leave, when Donnie suddenly sprouts Kraang-like arms and begins to attack. Pushing himself to escape, Leo heads for the stairs, but his injuries severely slow him down, and broken step seals his fate. Up in the living room, watching a Halloween show, Raphael hears Leo’s screams and immediately rushes downstairs to aid his brother from what seems to have been a tough fight.

While panting, Leo quickly explains to Raph that Mikey was right, and that April’s Mom really was some alien being. Believing his brother, Raphael tugs out his Sais, and asks where the creature is. Leo responds ‘here’, signifying that Mrs. O’Neil has somehow morphed into him and had done the same with Mikey and Donnie. Fighting for survival against a now Kraang-like ‘Leo’, Raphael manages to cut himself free from his false brother’s Kraang-like arms and escapes by using a smoke bomb to disappear. Meanwhile, outside, Casey and April are both seated on the swinging bench in the front yard as April tells Casey that her mother is planning on leaving tonight, too afraid of the Turtles to stay. Mom wants April to come with her, but April doesn’t know how to react. Casey is upset by the fateful decision, but understands if April really wants to leave with her mom. Just then, Raphael comes rushing out of the farmhouse, fiercely panting for breath. He quickly tells Casey and April everything that Mikey had told them before was right, which the two immediately disbelieve. April’s mom then comes out of the house, alarming Raph, causing the turtle to take a defensive position with his Sais. He demands to know where his brothers are, but Mrs. O’Neil keeps on walking forward. Dubbing her the ‘Mom-Thing’, Raphael gets ready to attack, but April then steps in to stop him, gets grabbed on the wrist by her mom and is dragged away by her. When April cries out for her ‘mother’ to let go, Mrs. O’Neil turns around and reveals her true form to April, before attacking.

A grotesque spider-like figure emerges from within Mrs. O’Neils otherwise innocuous form and this immediately horrifies April, Casey and Raph, and chases them in the direction of the barn. Casey manages to grab hold of the ax imbedded in the tree stump outside and makes a dash into the barn, along with April and Raph. Casey helps Raph barricade the barnhouse doors so that Mom-Thing can’t follow them in. However, the blockade does little to stop the monster, as it burrows underneath the barn and soon bursts inside. Her head then bisects, making her look even more freakish and, when Raphael asks for options on how to stop her, April’s refreeze idea quickly gets replaced by Casey’s crazy stunt to flash fry. The electricity from a nearby power box inflicts some damage on the monster, but not much, so Raph and Casey decide to tackle the Mom-Thing head on. This effort fails, as both guys get caught in a massive suction tube that pulls them down inside Mom-Thing’s body.

Standing alone, April is now faced with the horror of the creature she had believed to be her mother, which cajoles her to unite with it and all of the others it’s swallowed (Mikey, Donnie, Leo, Raph and Casey). When April refuses, the creature’s suction tube latches on to her, but April resists the creature’s pull and her mental powers get the better of her when the situation escalates, blowing up the Mom-Thing into slimy chunks. All of the Turtles that Mom-Thing swallowed are released and remain alive and well. Later, back inside the Kraang Scout Ship, Donatello reveals the truth on what he found out about the creature. The creature that April destroyed was nothing more than an early Kraang inflitration experiment that utilized a combination of Kraang and Mrs. O’Neil DNA, along with retaining some of Mrs. O’Neil’s memories. Since this creature that the Kraang created proved to be extremely dangerous to them, they put it in a deep freeze in the stasis beam, wanting it to remain in there forever.

Leo asks his brothers do they have to discuss this now, as April is disenchanted and feels like she has lost her entire family again, even though the being she destroyed really wasn’t her mom. Leo then offers a hand to her, saying she shouldn’t give up hope and to trust him on that. Mikey cheers her up by saying that she doesn’t have to be sad, as the Turtles have now become her temporary family. This touching moment is ruined not long after, however, as Mikey brags to all of his brothers, shouting that he was right all along. Donnie stops this little celebration when he rememebers that Mikey mentioned something about a little Mutagen being spilled in the woods. Raph then questions Mikey as to where the spilling happened, but Mikey doesn’t remember the exact location and Leo fears that this will all lead to disaster. Meanwhile, near the pond in the woods, a band of frogs with the Mutagen on their heads carelessly hop around, not knowing the changes soon to come.

A man clad in black enters April’s antique shop (2nd time Around) and quickly spots a rather grotesque, six-armed bronze statue. April takes it off a shelf and hands it to the man, who states that he forgot his wallet and asks O’Neil to hold it for him. As the man walks off, an alarm sounds – April explains that she’s been having problems with it and the man departs, slightly agitated. The man goes out of the store and meets with his sidekick Hadji telling him he has finally found “the idol”. As the two men stroll through the streets of New York City – the man in black pilfers an unsuspecting passers wallet. Hadji asks if they will use that money to buy the idol. He tells him it must be stolen calling himself “The King of Thieves”.

Later that night, the TMNT are carving pumpkins at April’s Apartment above the antique shop. Casey arrives and leaves with April to attend a costume party. As the Turtles continue to carve their pumpkins (except for Leo, who is busy training) they hear April’s alarm go off. The guys chide Don for not fixing the alarm and send Mikey to check it out. When the amicable Turtle arrives in the darkened shop, he finds three costumed figures searching the shelves, and they’re clearly not looking for candy!

The costumed thugs attack the ninja, who easily gains the upper hand in the fight – until one of the thieves tosses a bat into a bicycle hanging from the ceiling, causing it to fall on top of Mikey’s head. Two of the thugs grab the idol and flee while Mike is distracted. upon hearing the scuffle, Leo, Don, and Raph hurry downstairs to investigate and find one of the robbers who wasn’t able to escape. Leonardo threatens the punk and he tells them that they were hired to grab a six-armed statue for a man at the Blue Star hotel.

At Blue Star hotel, the two remaining thugs deliver the statue to the King of Thieves, who is overjoyed to finally have it in his possession. Meanwhile, the Turtles are causally walking the streets – which they can do since most pedestrians are in costume. Mike and Raph are chowing on carmel apples and Leonardo is getting angry over their care-free attitude. The guys arrive at the hotel with intentions of paying a visit to the man behind the robbery. Don knocks on the door they suspect their quarry is behind, but an elderly lady answers and gives them some candy, thinking that they’re trick-or-treaters. Don apologizes to Leo for picking the wrong door and they go to the next one – which Leonardo promptly kicks open. Inside the room, the King of Thieves is now in an arcane robe making strange incantations before the six-armed statue. After a brief verbal joust with the Turtles, the King finishes his spell and opens a rift in the air. Before the Turtles have time to stop him, numerous winged gremlins shoot out and begin to attack.  As the demonic creatures attack the Turtles, they seem to be more of an annoyance than a threat. The ninjas battle the gremlins, but the distraction has allowed the King and Hadji to escape. The rift continues to emit more gremlins and our heroes are quickly growing outnumbered. Leonardo breaks through a flimsy wall and the TMNT chase after the King and Hadji.

The Turtles catch up with the two thieves in an alleyway, but the King has another surprise as he begins a new spell. This incantation causes the six-armed Thieving God Idol to grow into a giant, living stone beast! The Turtles fight the monster allowing the King and Hadji to escape yet again. The two thieves make it to the streets, where the gremlins begin to pile loot up at their feet. Meanwhile, the Turtles are cornered by the seemingly invincible monster, so they head to the rooftops to have a better tactical advantage. The pile of stolen treasures grows ever larger as the gremlins loot New York City. The battle on the rooftop isn’t going well for the TMNT – Leo, Raph and Don are all knocked down. Mikey attacks but is smashed and flies senseless into the ledge of the roof. Don yells for Mikey to move as the Kleptonis monster rushes in to crush him!

As Mikey is about to be squashed, Don tosses his bo into the feet of the idol and trips the beast, sending it sprawling over the edge of the building. It falls through the pavement below and onto a subway platform. The Turtles follow and jump down into the tunnel to continue the fight. The monster emerges from a pile of rubble, one of its arms is now broken off. Leo takes one last swing at the beast and severs its left limbs – leaving it staggering. Raphael grabs the arm that fell off in the fall and attacks – knocking off the idols head with its own limb! The body staggers for a moment, and then falls off the platform right into the path of a moving train! The Thieving God Idol is smashed into pieces – which soon glow red and disappear.  On the streets, we see the gremlins glow red and begin to disappear. Police officers arrive on the scene and arrest the King of Thieves and Hadji. The officers that resemble Eastman and Laird spot the Turtles and wave at them, thank them for their help and tell them to continue their trick-or-treating. Mikey happily complies.

I loved the 2003 series and this Halloween episode showcases one of its great episodes, a fun special for this time of year.

Image result for teenage mutant ninja turtles 2014April O’Neil, a reporter for Channel 6 Eyewitness News in New York City, investigates a crime wave by a group of criminals called the Foot Clan. At a dock at night, she sees the Foot raiding cargo containers. After an unseen vigilante attacks the thieves, April notices a symbol left behind. April’s supervisor Bernadette Thompson (Whoopi Goldberg) and her coworkers are oblivious to her story. Later while covering a charity event thrown by Sacks Industries, April expresses gratitude to the company’s CEO Eric Sacks, who was her late father’s lab partner. Frustrated by the vigilante, the Foot Clan’s leader Shredder has the Foot Soldiers take hostages at a subway station in order to draw him out. April, at the scene, becomes a hostage herself. Four mysterious figures arrive, take out the Clan, and free the hostages. April follows them to a rooftop and is confronted by four anthropomorphic mutant turtles, causing her to pass out. When she regains consciousness, they advise her not to tell anyone of them. As they leave, April hears Raphael and Leonardo’s names.  April returns to her apartment and remembers “Project Renaissance”, her father’s science experiment, which involved four turtles named Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, and a mutated rat called Splinter. Unable to convince Bernadette of the Turtles’ existence, April is dismissed. Her coworker Vern Fenwick drives her to Sacks’ estate where she confides in him about her discovery. Sacks believes her and reveals that he and April’s father had been experimenting on a mutagen created to cure disease, which was thought lost in the fire that killed her dad.

At Splinter’s behest, the Turtles bring April to their sewer lair. Splinter explains April had saved them all from the fire and freed them into the sewers. The mutagen caused the five of them to grow and develop humanoid attributes. Splinter took on the role of their father, using April’s father as an example. After finding a book on Ninjitsu in a storm drain, he proceeded to teach himself, then the Turtles, in the fighting style. When April reveals she told Sacks about her discovery of the Turtles, Splinter informs her that Sacks turned on her father and killed him.

Then, Shredder and the Foot Soldiers attack the lair, defeating Splinter and incapacitating Raphael while the other Turtles are captured. April comes out of hiding and she and Raphael plan to save the others. At Sacks’ estate, he has the Turtles’ blood drained in order to create an antidote to a deadly virus that Sacks hopes to flood New York with, believing he will become rich from people seeking his cure. Raphael, April, and Vern storm the estate and free the other Turtles. The group then escapes the compound in pursuit of Sacks.

On a radio tower in the city, Sacks and Shredder plant a device that will flood the city with the virus while Sacks is preparing to convert the mutagen to healing factor. April and Vern subdue Sacks in the lab, while the Turtles battling Shredder on the roof. During the fight, the tower’s support beams collapse. As the turtles try to keep it from falling and infecting the city, April confronts Shredder with the mutagen. In the struggle, the tower collapses and the Turtles pull April onto it with them, while Shredder falls to the street and is confronted by police. Believing they are about to die, the Turtles confess their secrets, while Raphael gives an impassioned speech of his love for his brothers before they land harmlessly on the street. They vanish before the humans find them and return to the sewers, where they give Splinter the mutagen and he begins to recover. Sometime later, April meets with Vern, who tries and fails to ask her on a date. The Turtles appear in a special modified “Turtle Van”, and Michelangelo accidentally blows up Vern’s new car with a rocket. As police respond to the explosion, the Turtles leave, but not before Mikey tries to serenade April with “Happy Together”, much to his brothers’ annoyance and April’s joy.
movie-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-thumb3Having been a fan of the Transformers franchise, when I heard Michael Bay was having a hand in dealing with the new film I thought it should be a pretty solid offering that would be fun for all.  I was pretty sold within the first few minutes. I liked the way that they poked fun at other hero franchises, loved the way that April O’Neal came across as the still sassy reporter and when added to the over villainy of William Fichtner really worked well for me. All round a film that whilst not an Oscar winner, was something that not only entertained me but also gave me a good laugh, definitely worth watching .
