Bruce Greenwood in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)In Victorian era Gotham City, Bruce Wayne is operating as the bat-garbed vigilante, the Batman, who is feared by the guilty and the innocent alike. One night, Batman saves a wealthy couple from being robbed by three orphans (Dickie, Jason and Timmy) and defeats their handler, Big Bill Dust. At the same time, Ivy, an orphan turned exotic dancer and street worker becomes the latest victim of Jack the Ripper. The murders keep happening night after night; citizens of Gotham believe the Batman and Jack to be the same man. Stage actress Selina Kyle, a protector of the women from “Skinner’s End”, verbally attacks Gotham policemen James Gordon and Chief Bullock for their inaction in stopping Jack. Later that night, Selina acts as bait for Jack. It works, but Jack gets the upper hand during their fight until the arrival of Batman. After escaping, Batman asks Gordon to help him bring the Ripper down.Jennifer Carpenter in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)At the Monarch Theatre with his friend Harvey Dent, Bruce meets Selina and the two bond at the Dionysus Club. Bruce realizes that not only were the two of them taken in by Sister Leslie, but that some of the murdered girls were orphans formerly under Leslie’s care. Bruce rushes out to save Leslie from the Ripper but is too late, as Jack has already murdered her. At the crime scene, Bruce finds a bloody Dionysus Club pen, meaning Jack has to be one of Gotham’s wealthy. At Sister Leslie’s funeral, Bruce is met by Hugo Strange, claiming he knows the killer and wants to meet with Batman. Bruce also is met by Marlene, an old woman who claims she saw him sneaking around when Sister Leslie was killed. Alfred stops the three orphans from pick-pocketing him and decides to help them. At Arkham Asylum, Hugo is attacked by Jack and is killed by his own patients. Batman chases Jack on top of an airship in a fight that leaves Batman wounded as the airship explodes and Jack escapes. Batman is chased by police, only to be saved by Selina when he is nearly cornered. After seeing Batman is Bruce Wayne, she takes him to her home where they spend the night. The next morning, after the death of Marlene is discovered, Bruce is arrested by Gordon and Dent, who believe him to be the Ripper.Kari Wuhrer and Scott Patterson in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)Sent to Blackgate Penitentiary, Bruce is met by Selina, urging him to reveal he’s Batman to clear his name and help save the girls from Jack. When he refuses, she decides to tell Gordon herself, revealing she has one of his batarangs. Bribing a guard to deliver a coded message to his manor, Bruce escapes after staging a prison fight. Bruce meets with the orphans, who deliver him his suit and a steampunk motorcycle. Selina meets with Gordon at the Gotham City World’s Fair and discovers to her horror that Gordon is Jack the Ripper. Batman discovers this too when he is at Gordon’s home and discovers his secret room exposing his gruesome hobbies and past as a butcher. Batman also sees Gordon’s wife, Barbara-Eileen Gordon, with scars on the left side of her face that has made her into a lunatic praising her husband for treating her sins as a woman. Selina is injected with a drug but manages to use the Fair’s searchlight to create a Bat-Signal. Batman arrives and fights Gordon into a Ferris wheel, where Gordon reveals his holy work is to rid Gotham from what he sees as filth, from the poor to the criminals but also immigrants and anarchists. The Ferris wheel lights on fire and begins to collapse. Selina escapes, while Batman watches as Gordon burns himself alive. Luckily, Batman and Selina are saved by Alfred and the orphans. As they escape, they watch as the World’s Fair burns down, hoping it will be replaced with something better.Scott Patterson and Jennifer Carpenter in Batman: Gotham by Gaslight (2018)While I will say I’m not familiar with the source material, I did enjoy the movie a lot. I liked the setting, the references to the time period, the characters, the action, pretty much all of it. I also give them props for making Jim Gordon the villain, I was thinking it would just be Dent or some variation of Victor Zsasz or Joker, but they took a chance and I think it worked. Another great adition to The Dc Original Animated Movie.

Minions are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from yellow single-celled organisms into beings which exist only to serve history’s most despicable masters.[14] After rolling their leader T-Rex down a volcano, getting their caveman leader eaten by a bear, crushing a Pharaoh under the pyramids while his people survive, burning Dracula on his birthday party, and accidentally firing a cannon at Napoleon, the Minions are driven into isolation andstart a new life in a massive cave in the Arctic. After many years, the Minions become depressed, restless, and unmotivated without a master to serve. To regain their dignity and sense of purpose, Kevin, one fearless Minion, decides to set out to find a new master and asks for help. Stuart, a musically inclined Minion, and Bob, a young and inexperienced but enthusiastic Minion, are recruited. The trio journeys to New York, where the year is 1968. After spending the day attempting to blend in, the Minions end up in a department store for the night, where they discover a hidden commercial broadcast for villains advertising Villain-Con; a convention for villains and supervillains in Orlando. The trio hitchhikes a ride with the Nelson family and impress them with their accidental villainy. At the convention, they see Scarlet Overkill, the first female supervillain, who hires them and takes them to her home in the United Kingdom.Scarlet explains the plan to steal the Imperial State Crown from the Queen of the United Kingdom and promises to reward the Minions if they steal it but kill them if they do not. Her husband Herb supplies them with inventions to aid in the heist, but they are nearly caught when they break into the Tower of London, which leads to a chase that ends with Bob crashing into the Sword in the Stone and pulling it free, removing the Queen from the throne and becoming King Bob. Enraged, Scarlet confronts the Minions, so Bob abdicates the throne in her favor. Undeterred because she feels betrayed, Scarlet imprisons the three in a dungeon to be tortured by Herb before her coronation, but they escape with the intention to apologize to Scarlet.Making their way to Westminster Abbey, the three of them interrupt the coronation by accidentally dropping a chandelier on Scarlet, who orders their execution. Dozens of villains chase them and Bob and Stuart are caught, while Kevin finds his way into a pub. He sees Scarlet on a television, promising that she will kill Stuart and Bob if Kevin does not show up by dawn. Kevin sneaks into Scarlet’s home to steal weapons but inadvertently triggers a machine Herb was building and enlarges himself. He tramples through London, rescuing his friends just as the other Minions reunite with them. Scarlet tries to eradicate them, but Kevin swallows a massive missile she fires at them. Scarlet and Herb attempt to escape with her rocket-dress, but Kevin holds onto it. The missile detonates, causing it to explode. After the Minions briefly mourn him, Kevin returns, having returned to his normal size. The original Queen from the earlier part of the story receives her place on the throne and crown back and rewards Bob with a tiny crown for his teddy bear and Stuart an electric guitar, and she knights Kevin for his heroism. She suddenly realizes that her crown is missing, and Kevin leads a chase after Scarlet and Herb, who survived the explosion and are fleeing through the crowd with the bejeweled crown until they are suddenly frozen in place by a young Gru, who steals the crown from them and takes off in a rocket-powered motorbike while the Minions stare in awe. Bob gives his crown to the frozen Scarlet, and the Minions see Gru as their new potential master and give chase to follow him home.Very enjoyable and amusing film for both kids and adults.

untitledThe episode begins with Robin’s alarm clock going off at 8:00 AM, and all the Titans run to the living room, expecting presents under the Christmas tree. In the past two years (soon to be three), they have gone without presents, and today, they find themselves receiving no presents again, so the Titans get suspicious. Robin says there is only one reason why they weren’t getting presents…they were on the Naughty List! They journey into the North Pole, sneak into Santa’s workshop and disperse. Raven and Starfire ask a gingerbread man where the naughty list is, but after a while, they start devouring everything in his house. Meanwhile, Beast Boy visits Santa’s reindeer and ends up upsetting Rudolph with insults, as he drives away in Santa’s sleigh.5616cde899678Over in the toy factory, Cyborg gets in with the elves and asks where the naughty list is, but the noise makes the leader elf angry. The leader elf asks what was happening, and Cyborg blames another elf, who is then carried away by Jingle and Jangle, as Cyborg gets away.ccca2714f77aa99b2c25018f1ea2fcb2Meanwhile, Robin investigates in Santa’s office, standing over Santa’s Naughty List, attempting to erase the Titans’ name from the list. Surprisingly, it doesn’t erase as he expected, so he tries rubbing out the Titans’ name first, uses white out and then a mini bomb, but eventually gives up from the failures. He is then interrupted by Santa’s dog, which intentionally barks to get Santa’s attention. Santa comes over and scolds Robin for his actions, but the other Titans eventually arrive to complain about how they didn’t get their wish for presents for the past three years. Santa states that presents are not the true meaning of Christmas, resulting in the Titans blowing up his toy factory. Forced against his will, Santa quickly confesses that the true meaning of Christmas is presents, and ends up taking the Titans in his sleigh, who help him give all nice and naughty people presents.

SECOND CHRISTMAS
The episode starts with the day being Christmas morning. The Titans get up and start celabrating. First they open their presents having Cyborg getting robot parts, Robin gets some capes, Starfire gets a Tamerain toy, Beast Boy gets a yarn ball, and Raven gets a golden, limited edition, Pretty Pretty Peguses doll. Next, everyone puts some “Ugly Christmas Sweaters”. They all commet on how ugly they are, and Raven says yet there still festive. Beast Boy notices that it’s snowing out. And everyone goes out to play. At night, everyone pigs out on a Christmas dinner. Everyone then yells “WE LOVE CHRISTMAS!”
But the next day, as soon when Christmas ends, Robin takes down all the Christmas decorations and tells everyone that he has a workout ready for them. As he removes the Christmas tree, Beast Boy tells him that Christmas isn’t over, but Robin breaks free of his grip, rudely tells him that it’s over, and walks off. The other sad Titans decide they don’t want to wait 364 days again until Christmas. Starfire announces that she plans to return to her home planet to celebrate the great Kergoff, as she does every year the day after Christmas. She says it is like a Tamaranean Christmas and is the most important holiday for her people. As soon as she leaves the room, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and Raven complain about how jealous they are that she gets to celebrate a “Second Christmas”.
When Starfire hears them say the the words “Second Christmas”, she pops back into the room, asking them if such a holiday really exists. The Titans decide to lie to her and tell her it does exist, and make her do all of the preparations for “Second Santa”. They say if she truly believes, Second Santa will come and give them a Second Christmas Miracle. Robin walks into the room, and Starfire asks him if all of this is true. He tells her that no, it is not true, but Beast Boy convinces her that he is just a grouch who hates Second Christmas. Every time Robin tries to tell her that the Titans are playing a trick on her, she should punch him in the face, which she does.
After a day of celebrating, Starfire lights up the entire front wall of the Tower with neon Christmas lights. Robin tells them that they are insane, and the Tower’s generator can’t handle that much energy. Nobody listens, however, and Starfire punches him in the face again calling him “the grouch.”
Later that night, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy are proud of themselves, and decide that it is time for bed. Starfire decides she wants to stay up to see Second Santa. The three start to feel bad, but decide to go to bed anyways. Starfire goes to the roof, waiting for Second Santa by flying the Second Christmas kite and singing a Second Christmas song. Starfire begins to blame herself for Second Santa not coming, and nearly cries. The other Titans appear on the roof, and Robin forces them to tell her the truth. After hearing that they made her miss her home planet’s festival, Starfire begins crying, and when Raven asks if she’s okay, she becomes furious, and starts throwing starbolt-enhanced snowballs at them in a rage. Even Robin is attacked for “being the grouch”. While the battle on the roof ensues, the Tower’s generator finally overheats, with a gigantic explosion lighting up the entire island. The Titans lay unconscious in the hospital in their beds and in hospital gowns (expect Cyborg and Raven) while the Tower was being rebuilt.
The Titans and Silkie wake up in the hospital, confused. Robin checks the clipboard at the end of his bed, and realizes that the tower’s explosion put all six of them in a coma for 363 days. Starfire claims that she was a fool for believing in a Second Christmas but Robin comforts her by saying that it was a Second Christmas miracle. They are all suddenly filled with excitement, realizing that tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and they didn’t have to wait a whole year after all. Starfire looks out the window to see the real Second Santa, who provided them with a Second Christmas miracle.
Teen Titans was always a love it or hate it series and this reboot series is the same. The Christmas episode is funny and sweet in places. Being only a little over 10 mins it gets to the story straight away and is quite well paced. its a decent special to watch at Xmas.

I recently watched  Ultimate Spider-Man and I can honestly say that I have never wanted to stop watching a Spider-Man cartoon before in my life… until now. I have been a big fan of the Spider-Man comic series for many years and have liked almost all of the cartoon iterations of him, but this one just hurts to watch. I understand that Spider-Man is supposed to be a smart-mouthed teen who likes to make jokes while fighting crime, which is my favorite part about the character, but this show just takes it to an extreme.

I think one of the biggest problems for me was how much the stories are broken up by all of the “cut away” scenes.  I understand that Spider-Man is a show made for children and I get that the characters aren’t going to be nearly as serious as they are in the comics, but I feel like this was just too far from the source material for me to enjoy it. Another thing that bothered me was how just a few years ago we had, in my opinion, one of the best Spider-Man shows to date, Spectacular Spider-Man, and it was canceled in only it’s second season. I had really high hopes for Ultimate Spider-Man to fill the void that Spectacular Spider-Man left, but it just didn’t deliver at all.

As far as the voice acting on the show goes, they all seem to have done a really good job… with what they were given to read. So much of the writing in this show just seems so forced.why was Spectacular Spider-Man so much better and the most honest answer that I can give you is that it seems as though Marvel actually put a lot of work into Spectacular Spider-Man. I’m not saying that they didn’t put a lot of work into Ultimate Spider-Man, but it’s much harder to see in this one. The character designs in Spectacular Spider-Man may not have hit all of the right points for some people, but I really enjoyed it. The action in the show looked really good and it was easy to follow exactly what was happening, because you didn’t have a bunch of blur that you had to try and see everything through. The story for Spectacular Spider-Man was your standard Spider-Man fare, but while it was a show essentially for kids, it also appealed to many adults as well.

I really wanted to like Ultimate Spider-Man, but I just didn’t. I feel like if this show was about just another teen superhero other than Spider-Man it would have been much more forgivable, but for it to take such a dump on such a beloved character, it is just really sad to see. Now all that I can do is hope that the new Spider-Man movie can really bring something good to the table.

Truly one of the best ever incarnation of Spiderman and the best animated show ever Compared to previous animated Spidey’s this was bold move, taking it in new, more mature and realistic directions.
Taking place after the Spider-Man movie this show revolves around the college adventures of Peter, Mary-Jane and Harry who have much better chemistry, character and dialogue than the movie ever offered. Each episode provides more drama and development and creativity. The stories are very imaginative and are obviously written by people who are passionate about Spiderman rather than a studio hashing a product together.
The computer animation is superb and resembles The Ultimate Spiderman comic book (my fave) more than anything. And I know Mary-Jane is only a CGI character but she is so beautiful, and she’s voiced by the equally gorgeous Lisa Loeb. Neil Patrick Harris is the voice of Peter Parker and even in this performance he is a hundred times better than Tobey Maguire.
The show also offers some new, interesting characters like Indy, Cheyenne and Silver Sable and gives us alternate takes on Electro and Kraven. Though I was curious as to why Aunt May was not involved.
There is plenty of action and excitement to be had in every episode, all backed up to great music.
