Morris Chestnut in Half Past Dead (2002)In San Francisco, Sasha Petrosevitch (Steven Seagal) is a Russian car thief who’s brought in by criminal Nick Frazier (Ja Rule) to work for crime boss Sonny Eckvall (Richard Bremmer), who apparently shot and killed Sasha’s wife. After some time, FBI Special Agent Ellen “E. Z.” Williams (Claudia Christian) and her team show up to nail Nick, but things go bad, and Sasha gets shot. After eight months of recovery following his brief bout of being clinically dead from the shooting, Sasha is incarcerated along with Nick in the newly reopened Alcatraz prison. Run by the charismatic warden, Juan Ruiz “El Fuego” Escarzaga (Tony Plana), the place is known for its new state of the art death chamber where the condemned can choose from five different ways to die: lethal injection, gas chamber, hanging, firing squad, or electric chair.Steven Seagal and Ja Rule in Half Past Dead (2002)Lester McKenna (Bruce Weitz), is the first death row prisoner brought to the new Alcatraz and also the first prisoner scheduled to be executed. An older man, he stole $200,000,000 worth of gold bricks in a heist that resulted in five deaths, and hid the loot at an unknown location. Federal Bureau of Prisons head Frank Hubbard (Stephen J. Cannell) and Supreme Court Justice Jane McPherson (Linda Thorson) have arrived to witness the execution, which is a result of June sentencing Lester. But she’s not the only one interested in Lester. A small but well equipped team of terrorists who call themselves the “49ers” have parachuted onto the Alcatraz island, and gained control of it. Led by 49er One, a.k.a. Hubbard’s assistant Donny Johnson (Morris Chestnut), and 49er Six (Nia Peeples), the team finds Lester, and they want him to give up the location of his hidden stash of gold. When Lester will not tell them, Donny shoots a nearby priest (Eva-Maria Schönecker), and threatens to kill others if the information is not delivered.Morris Chestnut in Half Past Dead (2002)Donny’s plan is disrupted, however, when Sascha decides to step in and fight back. It turns out that Sasha is actually an undercover FBI agent who has been trying to use Nick to get to Sonny Eckvall. When Sasha rescues Lester, the 49ers strap Jane to the electric chair and threaten to kill her, all while Ellen and her team prepare a rescue plan from the mainland. With the help of Nick and some of the other inmates such as Twitch (Kurupt) and Little Joe (Michael “Bear” Taliferro), Sasha sets out to rescue Jane and bring Donny down, before Alcatraz becomes everyone’s final resting place.Morris Chestnut and Nia PeeplesOverall, I think the movie was a good movie. The action was a tad predictable, however, there was always something else happening that stimulated one’s brain.

Steven Seagal in Born to Raise Hell (2010)After 9/11, the United States government realized that narcotics were responsible for financing the majority of terrorist cells. That’s why they created the International Drug Task Force (IDTF). The IDTF task forces are fully funded and overseen by the United States government. They took their top narcotics officers and created interdiction teams throughout Asia and Eastern Europe. Bobby Samuels (Steven Seagal) heads an IDTF team in Bucharest, Romania. Six months ago, Bobby’s partner was killed. Now, headquarters has sent him a new partner named Steve (D. Neil Mark). Steve’s wife is eight months pregnant, and he’d really like to make it home to see the birth of his childRussian drug kingpin Dmitri (Dan Bădărău) has a wife (Silvia Stanciu) and a young son (Ștefan Iancu), both of whom he holds sacred, and they are not aware of his drug business. Recently, Dimitri has formed a drug dealing partnership with Costel (Darren Shahlavi), a Romanian man who runs the Roma Ace, one of the most popular clubs in Bucharest. Costel and his men specialize in home invasions – they invade wealthy people’s homes, steal whatever loot they can get, and kill the family. During each invasion, Costel himself rapes and kills the wife. And Costel owes Dimitri some money. Dimitri has threatened that Costel will die if he doesn’t come up with the money. Bobby and Steve are put on Costel’s trail, and Bobby tries to get Dimitri to point them to Costel, but Dimitri is suspicious at first. After Bobby and Steve arrest Dimitri in an effort to get him to help them, Dimitri butts his head through a door window of their SUV, and accuses Bobby and Steve of brutality. Dimitri gets released, and Bobby and Steve continue their hunt for Costel. One night while Dimitri is away from his mansion, Costel and his men break into the mansion, and Costel’s right-hand man Dada (Zoltán Butuc) fatally shoots Dimitri’s wife. Before Costel can kill Dimitri’s son, Dimitri’s men intervene, killing a couple of Costel’s men as Costel and Dada escape. Dimitri arrives at the mansion, learns what happened, and vows to make Costel and Dada pay. Dimitri’s traumatized son describes his wife’s shooter to him. Dimitri contacts Bobby, and offers to help Bobby find Costel, if Bobby will let Dimitri handle Dada himself. Bobby agrees, and he, Steve, and Dimitri set out to bring Costel and Dada down.Cosmina Pasarin in Born to Raise Hell (2010)Overall, its one of the better Steven Seagal DTV entries but it is way too flawed to measure up to the caliber of a Steven Seagal classic like UNDER SIEGE.

Elijah Kane (Steven Seagal) is the leader of an unstoppable team of undercover specialists committed to eliminating crime with their own style of hard justice. An armour plated security van carrying twenty million dollars, belonging to a notorious Mexican drug cartel, has just been hijacked, resulting in a cold blooded and explosive shootout. Determined to find the culprits, Elijah Kane and his team take on the case, an investigation that leads them to a Motorcycle gang boss, a mysterious organisation called ‘Quicksilver’ and someone the C.I.A had presumed dead a long time ago.tj2_featuredart_{29c9e064-d481-4891-0739-cbf0f3c0ce08}_{5a6d418c-b6d6-e111-b05d-d4ae527c3940}_{a4a0a4c0-ffd0-e111-a5f4-d4ae527c3940}Just as Seagal’s already-pretty-average TV series True Justice reached an all-time low in terms of distorted presentation (designed to make the Big Guy slimmer, no less!) the next double-episode arrives – Violence of Action – and turns things around somewhat. Not only is it a quality little instalment for True Justice fans, but it also presents Seagal in his correct proportions (for better or worse). If you’re one of those hard-suffering fans who has made it through the entire first season and halfway through the second then this is definitely a must-have purchase.

Kane and his team are dealing with three different cases, one involving a young sniper, still haunted by the memories of his past as one of the survivors, a new segregation called “New Hope”, where they enlist Brett Radner to take in being a recruit, to find out more of this segregation, and a serial rapist who hasn’t been convicted, unnerving the volatile Juliet Saunders to a high degree. After two of the segregation’s members are put in jail after roughing up to an African-American female, Juliet and Sarah Montgomery go confront them after they’re released, unexpectedly. New Hope apparently is a segregation of Nazis, who only allow the white people inside, and are racists, dealing with Crystal Meth, a very illegal drug. Radner takes up a disguise known as Clevis Johnson, and find out all of this information, but has to take some hits of the meth in order to fit in, or quoted “Cut from the same cloth.”, and is gently bending the major rule for drug intake.stevenJuliet is enraged when district attorney Lisa Clayton fails to convict a serial rapist, and leaves Juliet in a desperate rage to put him where he belongs. She has been held back by both Andre Mason and Kane, being pulled off the case. A concerned Sarah Montgomery also watches over Juliet. Juliet is being clouded by flashbacks of a former sexual assault, committed on her. The deputy sergeant seems to be the leader of the New Hope segregation, and Radner continues to bend the law gently, resulting in suspicion from the S.I.U. cops. Juliet and Radner meet back at the S.I.U. from their own cases, Juliet suspecting Radner is being influenced with some drug, he keeps on telling her he’s not high, just tired. Noticing her anger, and discovering that she has been pulled off the case of the sequence rapist, Radner breaks into Juliet, discovering that she had been sexually assaulted in the past, and it explains her tough-minded attitude, and her actions. He does however, suspect a little something of her.MV5BOTc1MTQzOTY3Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNDA1ODgxMzE@._V1_SX1777_CR0,0,1777,999_AL_Sarah and Radner start to develop a little attraction for each other, and Juliet is interrogating her about this, or at least asking her questions if she’s seeing anyone. Sarah admits that she isn’t, or at least not yet, and asks if Juliet is seeing anyone. She says “no”, and also advised Sarah to watch her back. Saying that guys cannot be trusted. Sarah gets concerned, and talks to her about the case she’s been pulled from, and finds out that Juliet had been in a relationship with a guy who had forced himself on her. Sarah is the fourth cop to discover her riled up teammate’s darker past of her sexual assault from a vicious ex- boyfriend. She let him get away, and Sarah consoles her, saying it wasn’t her fault. Meanwhile, Kane confronts the leader of the segregation, and beats him around a bit, in order to arrest him. Afterwards, Kane talks to both Radner and Juliet for ‘crossing the line’, saying you can bend the law, but never break it.http _media.cineblog.it_d_d58_stasera-in-tv-su-rete-4-true-justice-ii-langelo-della-morte-con-steven-seagal-2It was a tough part moviesode, dealing with racism, Nazi’s, and national betrayal, but to sour-coat it, it was much darker, discovering the haunting dark past of one of Kane’s teammates. I’m not a big fan when it comes to women characters becoming rape victims, (or in this case, for this episode, a former victim of that particular assault), but Meghan Ory did a fairly good job, playing the former victim of this vicious assault, who managed to portray Juliet’s recovery from her vicious ex-boyfriend’s crime very impressively. She hardly shown any signs of this from the previous moviesodes, but “Dark Vengeance” was hinting this in a way or two. Steven’s acting was just amazing to see yet again, taking care of that segregation leader on his own terms. Definitely improved since the previous moviesodes, so a straight-out 8/10 stars is what I rated this as!

True Justice (2010)Steven Seagal had so much fun being a real fake cop on “Lawman”, he became a fake fake cop on “True Justice”. Steven Seagal plays Steven Seagal’s version of Steven Seagal. He’s the smartest guy in the room, the sexiest man in America, the best martial artist in the world. Of course, he is. He’s Steven Seagal! He’s a Seattle cop who talks like he’s from New Orleans, looks like he’s from Hollywood, and moves like he’s from “Zombieland”. He leads a special team called the Central Casting Squad. They look up to him for some reason while he mumbles orders at them. In his spare time, he practices waving his samurai sword around. He so respects the way of the samurai that he got his hair cut like “Samurai Jack”. Dark Vengeance is another compilation of episodes from the True Justice series (Season 1). Every episode is written by Steven Seagal’s favorite writer: Steven Seagal. If you love Steven Seagal  you’ll love this film.

Steven Seagal,  is back in another explosive, hard as nails action thriller. Seattle, Washington, a city in the midst of crisis. While the innocent sleep, lives are being lost on the streets. The Yakuza have raged war on one of the most feared gangs of Mexican drug lords in the world and Seattle has been caught in the crossfire. Meanwhile a local bank has been taken siege by an unemployed man who’s armed, dangerous and slowly slipping over the edge. The city’s only hope for justice is Sheriff Elijah Kane (Seagal) and his elite force of undercover cops, a new breed of extreme law enforcement. Steven Segal’s acting was atrocious and he should be forced to watch this series of poor low grade drivel for the rest of his life.

It should be an easy day’s work for former black ops operative Cross (Steven Seagal) and his partner Manning (Stone Cold Steve Austin). They and their group have been hired to oversee and orchestrate the decommissioning of a secret military penal facility, and organize the transport of the inmates to their new civilian prison. Cross shows who’s boss early on by beating up a large inmate who steps out of line, while Manning is given the task of running the prison’s garbage facility. The day gets worse when a rolled up note is found that was accidentally dropped by an inmate, detailing times and locations for an attack on the facility. Cross, on his way back to the prison from running an errand, and Manning, still dealing with that garbage facility, are suddenly involved in a foothold situation as Chris Blake (Michael Pare) and his mercenaries, posing as marshals, take over the complex.Blake and his men are after the two newest inmates—Samantha Mendez (Steph Song) and Charlotte Walker (Aliyah O’Brien)—for their own purposes—Blake wants the information that’s in an implant that’s inside of Samantha, who is a CIA courier, because it could lead to a lot of money for Blake, and it turns out that Charlotte is working for Blake. It’s up to Cross, Manning, and their team to stop Blake and his men. MP Fields turns out to be a traitor and kills two of the others. Blake cuts off Warden Samuel’s finger to force him to know where the detainees are. Manning is attacked Collins and his team. He manages to kill two and flee the area. Cross returns to the complex and kills two of Blake’s men. Blake holds Warden Samuels hostage, forcing him to do anything so Blake can reach Charlotte. Later on Charlotte escapes as she wants to get paid. Eventually both sides meet up. Blake thinks he has Cross and Manning outgunned and then flees the scene, with Cross pursuing him. Manning catches up with Collins and kills him by impaling him on a bench. Samantha kills Charlotte, while the remnants of Blake’s mercenaries including MP Fields are killed by Bradley and the others. Cross and Blake exchange gunshots till both run out of ammo. Blake attempts to strike Cross only to be thrashed around and badly injured. Cross talks to him about being a warrior in which Blake replies ‘well that’s me im the f***ing bad guy’. Cross says he’s the good guy then hurls Blake into the laser trip wires, killing him. He reunites with Samantha and Manning. He jokes that ‘in ain’t over till we’re dead’.Overall, this was an enjoyable movie, but I would have to say that it is not the best of Segal… and I look forwards to “Stone Cold” putting his talents to further use in future movies, because he was entertaining if not believable.
