2.9) OUR VERY FIRST CHRISTMAS SHOW

The family is on a flight to Colorado to spend Christmas with some relatives, and this is a trip that Danny has spent months planning – but on the way to Colorado, a blizzard forces an emergency landing at an unfamiliar airport. The family is forced to spend Christmas in the baggage claim room, where everyone thinks Christmas is ruined this time around. Among the things that happen here are: Jesse’s father Nick tries to get Jesse to kiss Becky under a mistletoe, D.J. is upset that the gifts that the family brought along on the flight with them are missing, and Michelle is afraid of Lionel (Sorrell Booke), a man who made her cry on the airplane because of his toupee. Jesse, becoming ever so frustrated by everyone’s sour attitudes, speaks to the people in the baggage claim room about the real meaning of Christmas. Then Santa Claus shows up and shows the family where the missing gifts are, and it turns out that Lionel is Santa Claus.

3.11) AFTERSHOCKS

In the wake of a frightening earthquake, Danny is initially willing to deny Stephanie’s excessive clinginess. It all seems relatively harmless to him at first, but Danny finally recognizes the seriousness of the situation when his distraught daughter won’t even let him go on a business dinner for a few hours. Unable to get Stephanie to share her feelings with him, Danny reluctantly agrees that this is not something that a dad can handle on his own. Meanwhile, D.J.—who wakes up one morning with a zit on her nose—nervously anticipates her role in a school play.

Danny and Jesse set up Joey with a date for New Year’s Eve, but he becomes so smitten with her that he wants to elope. Meanwhile, Rusty convinces Stephanie that he is going to kiss her at midnight, but when midnight comes and Rusty reveals he was just kidding, Stephanie ends up kissing him.

6.12) A VERY TANNER CHRISTMAS

The Tanners celebrate Christmas, only for D.J. to find out that Steve is planning to move to Florida for college, upon graduating. Meanwhile, Becky misses having white Christmases in Nebraska, and Jesse takes Stephanie and Michelle to a homeless shelter to show them the real meaning of Christmas.

7.13) THE PERFECT COUPLE

Joey gets a job as the host of a local game show, The Perfect Couple. He gets the family to do the first show with him, with D.J. and Steve as the dating couple, Jesse and Becky as the married couple, and Danny and Vicky as the engaged couple. Vicky cannot make it on time, so Danny has to pair up with an old woman named Estelle. The director of the show tells Joey to embarrass the contestants, and he does, much to the family’s dismay. At the end of the show, Vicky arrives and tells Danny that she accepted a job as a network anchor in New York City. Danny tells her that he cannot take a long-distance relationship, and the two break off their engagement and break up, although they still have feelings for each other. Back at home, Stephanie has trouble getting Nicky and Alex into their pajamas and in bed.

8.11) ARREST YE MERRY GENTLEMAN

Jesse and Michelle get locked in a toy store on Christmas Eve when they attempt to return a gift to the grumpy owner (Mickey Rooney). The twins begin to fear Santa Claus. The owner then dresses as Santa Claus and comes to the Tanners’ home, after they realize what a nice man he is.

When I found out that they were making this I had mixed feelings of happy nostalgia and preemptive disappointment. While the child in me wants this to make it due to fond memories of watching the original, another part of me was sure it would be horrible. It turned out to be great after binge watching season 1 I was stoked for season 2 and once again it did not disappoint.  The episodes this season are

3rd Rock from the Sun is a tough act to follow. The Neighbors does a pretty good job, but uses wit and timing instead of zaniness and slapstick comedy to get its laughs. That makes it consistently funny, just not side-splittingly funny. Naming all of the aliens after sports heroes was an inspired choice– they’ll never run out of funny names (a tot named Dick Butkus?), and the fact that the aliens are dorky doubles down on the running gag. So are all their matching outfits/uniforms that remind us of golf clothes from the 1970s.

Also on the upside, some of the cast members are real gems. I don’t know where Toks Olagundoye has been up til now, but she’s got real movie star power as the glamorous alien mom. Her rapid fire back and forth with alien husband Simon Templeman, who has perfect comedic timing and never wastes a good line, are my favorite parts of the show. Jami Gertz and Max Charles are good enough as the earthling straight man/woman, but I think maybe too much of the plot compares their unfunny ordinariness to the aliens’ backwards/upside down view of what humanity is like. The child actors are pretty good, too, even if the show relies a little too much on alien child Ian Patrick’s precociousness. Clara Mamet is exceptional as the brooding, frighteningly calculating and cynical teenager.

I was worried that after a few episodes the running gags would wear thin and they’d run out of ideas. Not so at all! It was a series that went from strength to strength but put on in American in the Friday night death slot, so sadly only 2 seasons were made.

Chad (Elliot Olson) is snowboarding down a mountain, when suddenly a skier dressed in black attacks him. Chad attempts to get away, but is decapitated by a piece of wire strung up between two trees. Meanwhile, college student Kimberly (Lindsey McKeon) is going on a trip to an abandoned ski resort, which her father will be buying soon, with her boyfriend Cole (Scott Weinger), cousin Pike (Juleah Weikel), and friends Skyler (Billy O’Sullivan), Robyn (Holly Towne) and Kirk (Peter Riggs). While stopping off at a gas station, the group bump into the European Christophe (Brad Hawkins), who they quickly invite along with them. Cole and Skyler go back into town to retrieve beer, but are warned away from the resort by a bartender, Bud (Ron Varela). Skyler also briefly meets Bud’s daughter Shelly (Candace Moon) to whom he takes a liking. Arriving back at the resort, the group partake in drinking games until the town Sheriff (Seth Reston) shows up. Kimberly and Robyn manage to bribe him to let them stay there for the night, however as the Sheriff leaves the cabin he is stabbed to death. Kimberly then tells the others that a few years previous, a group of snowboarders murdered a young girl at the resort, and that’s why it had closed down.
The next day, the group go snowboarding. Kirk stumbles upon a small building hidden in the mountain. As he enters to investigate, he is stabbed in the stomach with an icicle by the killer. Meanwhile, Skyler bumps into Shelly while she ski’s. The two get on well and decide to stick together, but Bud appears and sends Shelly home. As Robyn uses the chairlift, the killer boards with her before attempting to throw her off. Robyn fights back and manages to push him off the chairlift, but as she prepares to deboard her scarf wraps around the handle and she is hanged as the lift drags her off the ground.
At the cabin, Skyler meets up with Cole and Pike, before the trio stumble upon the Sheriff’s body. The group are quick to suspect Christophe as the murderer, and set off to warn the others. While searching, they find the little girl preserved in ice, and Skyler is stabbed in the leg with an axe by the killer, but manages to escape. Kimberly and Christophe find a hot tub, where Kimberly discovers Christophe was at the resort when the little girl was murdered, and that all other witnesses had been murdered. Christophe suspects Bud for the previous killings, as to get revenge for the death of his youngest daughter. Kimberly and Christophe then begin to have sex. Cole soon sees the pair and angrily leaves, prompting Kimberly to follow him. After they leave, Christophe is beaten to death with a shovel. Returning to the cabin, the survivors find the car has been broken and the dead bodies of their friends lined up in the snow. In the cabin, the group tend to Skyler’s leg. Cole and Pike go outside to fix the car, leaving Kimberly and Skyler in the cabin. The killer sneaks inside and murders Skyler, stabbing him through the eye with a ski pole. Kimberly hides from the killer in a cupboard, where she finds Chad’s body. The killer manages to break in the cupboard and stabs Kimberly with a poker. Cole rushes inside, but finds Kimberly dead before the killer locks him in the cabin.
Outside, Pike fixes the car. The killer swiftly attacks her however, and in a panic she crashes the car before the killer hits her in the head. Cole manages to get outside and finds Pike persumably dead. Cole travels up the mountain, taunting the killer. He is soon shot at by a figure, revealed to be Bud. Bud tells Cole he simply wanted to scare the group away from the area, but Cole tries to escape. Bud chases him on a snowmobile, and is quickly decapitated by a piece of wire strung up between two trees. Cole then makes his way into town. After entering an alley, he becomes trapped as the killer drives a large shredding truck to block his path. The killer reveals herself to be Shelly, who wants to get revenge for the death of her younger sister. As she is about to murder Cole, Pike shows herself to be alive, shoots Shelly who then falls into the shredder. Cole and Pike leave the town and persumably start a relationship.
This is a good slasher film, and I thought it was well directed. The storyline is very much typical of the slasher genre, but I did enjoy watching it. Quite good acting, and a few jumps along the way. well worth getting this if you like slasher films.

Full House is a great show for anyone of any age. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will amaze you. True, some people feel that there are some cheesy aspects to the show, but, the positive aspects out weigh all of the cheesy aspects. Full House ran it’s first episode on September 22, 1987 entitled “Our Very First Show” and ran it’s last episode on May 23, 1995 entitled “Michelle Rides Again Part II”.
The plot of the show is very believable. Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) losses his wife, Pam, in an accident involving a drunk driver. Danny has his brother in law, Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), which is Pam’s younger brother, and Danny also brings in his best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) to help him raise his three daughters. Danny’s daughters are named DJ (Candice Cameron-Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen).Joey and Jesse plan on moving in with Danny and his three girls for a few months just to help out and end up living with them for eight years; which is the number of years the show ran for.
The only negative thing that I can say is how Full House became The Michelle Show towards the end. I think it was to focused on her towards the end. Especially when I think Jodie and Candice were much better at acting. Full House is a great show for everyone. It can teach you a lot. One of the biggest things it can teach you is that everyone can live a great life even if a tragedy, such as loosing a family member, occurs. Full House continues to attract new fans. With all this said, there is only a couple things left to say; Full House will never die, and, thank you, the cast of Full House, for giving everyone a show that they can enjoy

With the sequel series Fuller House on Netflix and renewed for a second season now is the perfect time to watch the original series.

Before I started watching Fuller House, I read a bunch of reviews and was so disappointed that it was getting ripped to shreds that I almost didn’t give it a chance, but curiosity got the best of me and I started watching. To echo some of the other reviewers, yes, the first episode is incredibly cheesy and feels more like an homage to the old cast than an introduction to a new show, but after just the main cast of Fuller House is left, I found it actually quite fantastic.  Some say that it’s just rehashing the original show and in a lot of ways, they have taken an extremely similar storyline, but beyond that it is totally its own. But what I absolutely love about it is that it feels like a 90s sitcom. I grew up watching Full House, Fuller House can stand on its own two legs without their Full House background and I have been very pleasantly surprised.

Nowadays there really isn’t much family friendly material on TV; there are very few shows that aren’t filled with innuendo, language, sex, and so on. But Fuller House stays true to the Full House values and while it may be cheesy at times, each episode has a moral to the story where someone learned something and is better for having learned it. It teaches the audience what’s really important in life and how much families really matter. If you’re looking for a Modern Family type of show, you will not find that in Fuller House, but if you’re missing the sitcoms of the 90s that you could comfortably watch with your whole family, you will love Fuller House.
