Brandon Routh in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was a solid addition to The CW’s superhero lineup in its first season. Sure , the show had problems, but the ensemble approach and time travel elements definitely set it apart from the likes of The Flash and Arrow. But in hindsight, Season 1 seems like a test-run for the show Legends would become in its second season. This year, the show trimmed most of what didn’t work and replaced it with elements that did. As a result, Legends became not just the best superhero series on The CW, but quite possibly on any network.Kwesi Ameyaw, Matthew MacCaull, Dan Payne, Patrick J. Adams, Sarah Grey, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)A lot of what didn’t work about Season 1 can be pinned squarely on the shoulders of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) and his millennia-long feud with Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) and Hawkman (Falk Hentschel). But with Savage being decisively killed off and the Hawks shuffled off the main stage in the Season 1 finale, the show was free to move forward in the Season 2 premiere, “Out of Time.” And move forward it did.
Surprisingly, “Out of Time” didn’t pick up directly from Season 1’s cliffhanger and the introduction of Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams). Instead, the season opened with a weird but engaging detour that saw newcomer Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) turn to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for help in tracking down the time-displaced Legends. That served as a great introduction for Nate and a fun way of reconnecting with the old gang one by one. Nate almost immediately settled in as a valuable new addition to the team dynamic, what with his brotherly bond with Atom (Brandon Routh) and his seemingly doomed romance with Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).Vixen proved to be another strong addition to the mix. Richardson-Sellers faced a bit of an uphill battle early on considering that Arrow had already introduced a different version of the character in live-action. But the writers worked in this “recasting” in a clever way, and it wasn’t long before Amaya emerged as a character very distinct from her granddaughter in terms of personality and motivations.
Victor Garber, Dominic Purcell, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)The Hawks weren’t the only characters to be pruned from the cast for Season 2. Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) was also gone, though he served as much use in death as he did in life when it came to advancing Heat Wave’s (Dominic Purcell) character arc. Rory’s struggle to accept the Legends as his new family was easily one of the most compelling storylines of this season, and that arc became all the more crucial in the final few episodes.Johnathon Schaech and Caity Lotz in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) also played a drastically different role this season. He more or less sat out the first half of the season, with his whereabouts (or whenabouts) a mystery and his absence forcing White Canary (Caity Lotz) to step up as team captain. That was another inspired change, one that built on several years’ of growth Sara has experienced on both this show and Arrow. And even when Rip did resurface in the latter half of the season, his role constantly shifted and defied expectations. He was an antagonist to the team this year as often as he was an ally.
David Ramsey, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Stephen Amell, Melissa Benoist, Franz Drameh, Grant Gustin, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)If any character didn’t quite receive the attention they deserved this year, it was Jax (Franz Drameh). While his partner Professor Stein (Victor Garber) dealt with some rather drastic time aberration problems, Jax never really seemed to have a overarching struggle this season. That’s something the writers might want to focus on in Season 3. The conflict in Season 1 was propelled mainly by Rip’s efforts to stop Vandal Savage and prevent the deaths of his family. Season 2 took a little while to develop its own clear mission statement. The first couple episodes offered a fun crossover with the WWII-era Justice Society, but after that the show lost some momentum while the writers worked to establish the true conflict. That spawned a couple of relatively weaker episodes like “Shogun,” where it seemed like the team was doing little more than ticking off boxes on their historical guidebooks. “Outlaw Country” was another relative disappointment, as it didn’t quite justify the decision to send the team back to the Wild West and reunite with Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech).John Barrowman in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)However, the show was off to the races again once the Legion of Doom was introduced and the Spear of Destiny emerged as the major catalyst for Season 2. MacGuffin or not, the Spear was a compelling plot device, and one that reminded viewers once again that the Arrow-verse writers are willing to dig very deep when it comes to taking advantage of the rich tapestry that is the DC Universe. By the time the show reached the midseason finale point with “The Chicago Way” it built up a newfound momentum that carried it right along to the finish.Matt Letscher in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)The Legion themselves also provided the show with the compelling, enjoyable villain it lacked in Season 1. Sure, you could argue that the show played it safe by drawing on a handful of popular villains from The Flash and Arrow rather than introducing a new threat. But half the fun of serialized superhero universes is watching heroes and villains alike grow and evolve. Legends’ take on the Legion built directly on the idea that all of these villains had failed on their own, and all sought the Spear of Destiny as a means of rewriting their own histories. Plus, it was just plain fun to watch Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) interact. You can’t throw three hotheaded, self-interested villains into one room and not expect tempers to flare and betrayal to flow like wine. Letscher was particularly engaging all season long, doing a lot to stand out in a role that had previously been dominated by Tom Cavanagh. Thawne worked as a villain because his goals were so simple and understandable. Thawne’s role and the surprise return of another villain built very cleverly on the foundation laid in The Flash’s first two seasons. There was ample drama to go around over the course of these 17 episodes, whether that involved Rip’s shifting motivations, Amaya confronting her inevitable destiny or Rory trying to find his purpose in a world without Snart. The final few episodes capitalized on that drama well, tying up a number of loose ends and further establishing the Legends as a close-knit but very dysfunctional family.Brandon Routh, Elyse Levesque, Nick Zano, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers in Legends of Tomorrow (2016)At the same time, the show developed a very terrific sense of humor this year, and that was probably its strongest asset. Legends became the much-needed antidote to the DC Extended Universe, a place where color doesn’t exist and no one seems to remember how to crack a smile. And with Arrow and The Flash both moving in darker directions this year, Legends was frequently a welcome and much-needed source of levity each week. You can point to any number of standout moments where Legends allowed its writers and actors to revel in being silly. There was the hilarious and unexpected musical number in “Moonshot.” There was the fact that the team found themselves trapped in a garbage compactor with a young George Lucas. There was Ray using Tyrannosaur urine as a means of creating a barrier around his prehistoric fort. Week after week, the cast and crew embraced the goofy side of the DCU and crafted a show that was as much about the thrill of adventure as it was costumed character drama and plot twists.

When we were 17 it was a very good year — a year for Homer’s new dad, MacGyver gets mad, Sideshow Bob’s not so bad… Another comical compilation of “The Simpsons” – the longest-running scripted show in television history – has arrived. Season 17 contains all 22 outrageous episodes, a vast repertoire of Springfieldian special features, plus a mind-blowing list of celebrity guest voices, including Alec Baldwin, Larry Hagman, William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, Rob Reiner, Susan Sarandon and Lily Tomlin, just to name a few, with additional guest voices also providing commentary including Richard Dean Anderson, Ricky Gervais, Michael York and Kelsey Grammer. Phew!

In order to win back Lisa’s love after shunning her Father’s Day gift (and fearing that the action will cause Lisa to despise all men), Homer takes a job as a costumed mascot known as “The Safety Salamander”, who wins public acclaim for saving drivers from a car accident. Meanwhile, Springfield holds a recall election to get Mayor Quimby out of office.17.7) THE LAST OF THE RED HAT MAMAS

One of the hallmark seasons of The Simpsons, season 7 features some of the strongest episodes produced during the show’s run. Considering that this is The Simpsons we’re talking about here, that’s saying a lot, but this collection deserves the accolades.

SEASON 7 HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

7.1) WHO SHOT MR. BURNS – PART TWO

In the previous episode, Mr. Burns was shot by an unknown gunman. Mr. Smithers believes he may have shot Burns while in a drunken stupor, and turns himself in. However, it is discovered that he is innocent, so the police question several other suspects and eventually discover Simpson DNA evidence on Burns. Mr. Burns himself awakens and is only able to say “Homer Simpson”. The police immediately arrest Homer, but he manages to escape. Lisa investigates the clues herself and discovers vital evidence that clears Homer but at that moment he is spotted at the hospital. Lisa, Smithers, the police and many townsfolk go to Mr. Burns’ hospital room where they find Homer strangling Burns. Burns is shaken out of his daze and reveals that he was really shot by Maggie Simpson. Marge apologizes for Maggie’s actions and everything returns to normal.

7.2) RADIOACTIVE MAN

It is decided that filming for the new Radioactive Man film will take place in Springfield and the producers decide to cast a local child in the role of Fallout Boy. Many of Springfield’s children, including Bart and Milhouse, audition for the role, with the part eventually going to Milhouse. However, Milhouse decides he does not like being a star and flees the production. He refuses to return and play the role and the producers, having been bankrupted by Mayor Quimby and the townsfolk, decide to close production and leave town.Homesweethoeddd7.3) HOME SWEET HOMEDIDDLY-DUM-DOODILY

Several misunderstandings at home and school cause the child welfare dept. to accuse Homer and Marge of being negligent parents. As a result, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie are taken away and put in the care of Ned Flanders and his family. To get their kids back, Homer and Marge must pass a parenting class, while Ned discovers the kids are not baptized and decides to do it himself. Homer and Marge are allowed to get their kids back and manage to stop the baptizing ceremony. Homer eventually takes the baptizing for Bart and experiences momentary religious enlightenment before returning to his original self.7.4) BART SELLS HIS SOUL

While forced to clean the organ pipes after playing a prank against the church, Bart sells his soul to Milhouse for five dollars, to prove his point that a soul does not exist. Bart begins to regret it when weird things begin happening to him such as not finding cartoons funny or not accepting hugs. Meanwhile, an encounter with the Hibbert family results in Moe converting Moe’s Tavern to a family restaurant to make more money. The Simpson family eat there one night and after taunting from Lisa, Bart erupts and leaves to find his soul. It turns out that Milhouse had given Bart’s soul to Comic Book Guy who in turn had sold it to someone else. It turns out that it was sold to Lisa, and she gives Bart his soul back. Back at the family restaurant, Moe loses his temper and swears at a child, resulting in him losing his customers and converting back to his tavern.Homesweethoeddd7.5) LISA THE VEGETARIAN

After a visit with a lamb at a petting zoo, Lisa decides to become a full vegetarian. She tries to draw others towards it, but her efforts are wasted. She ruins the barbecue by destroying his main host (a roasted pig) and after refusing to apologize to Homer, runs away saying Homer is a prehistoric carnivore. She goes to the Kwik-E-Mart and meets Apu who reveals he is a vegan and tells Lisa to be tolerant and not go pushing her own views on everyone else. Lisa apologizes to Homer, admitting she had no right to ruin his barbecue.King-Size_Homer7.7) KING-SIZE HOMER

Unhappy with the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant’s new exercise program, Homer decides to get on workman’s comp by purposely gaining 61 pounds. He succeeds in his goal and is able to work at home. He spends a lot of his time goofing off and tries to go see a movie. When he is turned away because of his weight, Homer returns home but finds that a nuclear meltdown is about to take place at the plant because of his inattention to his work. He hijacks an ice cream truck and rushes to the plant and is able to save everyone when he falls into a tank and prevents poisonous gas from escaping. As a reward, Mr. Burns guarantees to make Homer thin again, but gives up and decides to pay for a liposuction.7.8) MOTHER SIMPSON

On a Saturday morning Homer fakes his death in order to get out of working at Mr. Burns garbage collecting event and is later forced to go to the records office to verify that he is alive. The grave actually belongs to Walt Whitman but Homer by chance does meet with his mother. He takes her home to meet his family, but she remains silent as to where she was for the past 27 years. The argument will rage long after the boxset of The Simpsons: Season Nine has been released about when exactly America’s finest television animated export actually peaked. What’s really great about the first season is that you get to see the writers trying to figure out what direction the show should take, this provides some interesting experiments as well as some classic episodes. Season 1 does not have a lot of amazing scenes or laugh out loud moments but it does have a sense of realism to it and can actually tackle some pretty dark themes, such as Lisa having depression or Homer trying to commit suicide.kalasIt really does feel great when there’s a happy ending because you do want to see these characters succeed, especially when you can relate to their problems and empathise with them. I really liked Homer’s characterisation here, he is just an average man who just happens to make a few honest mistakes and I think that he has a genuine charm to him. He never does anything hilarious but some of his one liners did get a chuckle out of me.The episodes revolving around Bart were probably the funniest. Although this season proves you don’t always need a lot of jokes to tell a good story, “Life on the Fast Lane” is a fantastic Homer and Marge episode that treats the audience with a lot of maturity and though I personally do not find it very funny, I am still invested in the plot.MV5BMzk4ZDU2OTMtZjM0NC00ZWIyLWFmNmQtMjcyZGQ1OWE0ZWMyXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTAyODkwOQ@@._V1_Even though the plots and characterizations are a lot more subtle when compared to later seasons, there is still a sense of wackiness to it, the best example being “The Call of the Simpsons” where Homer is mistaken for Bigfoot. Obviously in the first season of any show not every episode will be a success but when Season 1 does things right, it can be a pretty damn good season with just a few hiccups here and there.

Season 2 is basically a new and improved version of season 1, the tone is still very similar but now the characters are more developed and the plots have started to become a lot more intelligent. One of the best things about this season is the way it portrays Homer and Marge’s relationship, you never doubt even for a second that they truly love each other.MV5BZGY0N2RmNDYtNzIwNy00YTcxLTk3Y2YtMTAwNjVlMGRmODdhXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTAyODkwOQ@@._V1_Even something so simple as Marge singing to Homer to cheer him up in “Simpson and Delilah” is very effective and I really do have to give credit to Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner for the amazing vocal performances. The voice acting in this season is brilliant and it does make the emotional scenes are a lot more powerful. This season also starts to develop the secondary characters, whenever Mr. Burns appears in an episode you know it’s going to lead to some very good moments and even Ned Flanders and Principal Skinner have a chance to shine.MV5BZDFiZGMxOTctZjNiZS00NzAzLTg0MjMtNjFjN2Q0MGY4ZDZmXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNTAyODkwOQ@@._V1_The wide variety of different characters and personalities was one the main reasons that the show was so good. The storylines are also great, tackling mature issues such as censorship or the corruption of government politics and the show never talks down to its audience. These writers are so talented that not only can they make us laugh, but they can also make us think as well.

This is my personal favorite season of The Simpsons. The first disc has it’s moments, Homer Defined”, “Bart The Murderer”, “Stark Raving Dad” and “When Flanders Failed” are all great episodes.MV5BOWJlYTI5NmEtY2NmZS00YTcwLWExZTYtNjExMzRjNjFlYTcxXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjI2OTgyNTE@._V1_The Second Disc has classic such as “Treehouse Of Horror” which is almost as incredibly well written as the first, “Lisa’s Pony” and “Saturdays Of Thunder” are also great. “Flaming Moe’s” is on a different level altogether to all episodes mentioned previously. It is one of the best written, funniest episodes this show has ever produced and will remain an all time classic. From Disc 3 onwards, especially after “Lisa The Greek”, the episodes seem to run into each other, you can’t put the remote control down, you simply have to keep watching. For you are viewing classic episode after classic episode after classic episode. First you have “Homer Alone”. David Stern decided to use a “deeper vein in comedy” in this episode by focusing on Marge rather than Bart or Homer, as most of the other writers were doing. It’s a fantastic episode with lots of humour and lots goes on, it seems more than 21 minutes.MV5BMTY5MDI4MjE4N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMDQwOTQ2MjE@._V1_“Bart The Lover” is another fantastic episode. I love hearing the letters that Bart writes to Mrs. Krabappel. “Homer At The Bat” is probably the episode that made me laugh the most in the entire season. My favourite part was when Ken Griffey Jr. had gigantism. “Separate Vocatians” Is a very interesting episode and another one that you can’t fault. It’s as good as every one of the episodes mentioned in this paragraph. There’s so much great humour in this episode. As for the other episodeson Disc 3, “Radio Bart” is a very cleverly written episode and is one of the best to watch. “Lisa The Greek is also as good as everyone of those episodes. One of my favourite episodes of all time, “Colonel Homer”. I think it’s one of the only episodes where Matt Groening wrote the entire thing. Then there is “Black Widower” in which Sideshow Bob marries Selma, which is a great episode, with a hilarious ending. And then, there is my favourite Simpsons episode of all time, The Otto Show. Disc four has “Bart’s Friend Falls In Love” and “Brother Can You Spare two Dimes”, these two episodes are good episodes but not classed as classics compared to the other episodes in the season.MV5BMTY5MDI4MjE4N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMDQwOTQ2MjE@._V1_Season 3 was when the Simpsons hit it’s stride and became the animated juggernaut it is today.

Image result for teenage mutant ninja turtles IIIIn feudal Japan 1603 (Late Sengoku period) a young man is being chased by four samurai on horseback. As they go into the woods, a mysterious woman emerges from the underbrush and watches closely. However, the samurai eventually capture and take the youth, revealed to be a prince named Kenshin, with them. In the present, April O’Neil has been shopping at the flea market in preparation for her upcoming vacation. She brings her friends gifts to cheer them up. Michelangelo is given an old lamp (the lampshade of which he wears as an impression of “Elvis Presley in Blue Hawaii”), Donatello is given a broken radio to fix, Leonardo is given a book on swords and Raphael is to receive a fedora, but having stormed off earlier, he is never formally given it. For Splinter, she brings an ancient Japanese scepter. Back in the past, Kenshin is being scolded at by his father, Lord Norinaga, for disgracing their family name, but Kenshin argues that his father’s desire for war is the true disgrace. Their argument is interrupted by Walker, an English trader who has come to supply Norinaga with added manpower and firearms, and Kenshin leaves his father’s presence to brood alone in a temple. There, he finds the same scepter and reads the inscription: “Open Wide the Gates of Time”.

In the present, April is looking at the scepter and it begins to light up. She is then sent back in time, while Kensin takes her place; each wears what the other did. Upon arrival, April is accused of being a witch, but Walker deduces she has no power and has April put in prison to suffer. Back in the present, Kenshin is highly distressed upon seeing the turtles and calls them “kappa”. After learning from Kenshin of the situation, the turtles decide to go back in time to get April. However, according to Donatello’s calculations; they have to do it within 60 hours, otherwise the scepter’s power will disappear due to the space-time continuum being out of sync. They bring in Casey Jones to watch over the lair and use the scepter to warp through time. When doing so, the turtles are replaced by four of Norinaga’s Honor Guards and are confused at their new surroundings.

Back in time, the turtles awake on horseback and make a poor show of riding their steeds. During the confusion, Mikey (who is carrying the scepter) ends up riding off alone into the forest and gets ambushed by an unknown assailant. The others go to search for April at Norinaga’s palace, where their identity as Honor Guards allows them cover in their search. After following one of Walker’s thugs into the prison, the turtles rescue April and also free another prisoner named Whit (locked up for trying to start a mutiny against Walker, and who bears a striking resemblance to Casey), but their sloppy escape ends up leaving them all alone in the wilderness and without a clue where to go. Meanwhile, in the present, Kenshin is getting impatient and anticipates a fight from Casey. Casey instead introduces him and the Honor Guards to television hockey, which manages to calm them down for the time being.

Out in the woods, the turtles, April, and Whit are again attacked, this time by villagers mistaking them for Norinaga’s forces. The attack stops when Mitsu, leader of the rebellion against Lord Norinaga, unmasks Raphael and sees that he looks just like one of her prisoners. The turtles realize that she is talking about Mikey and accompany Mitsu to her village. When they arrive, the village is being burned down by Walker’s men. As the turtles help the villagers save it, Mikey is let out by a pair of clueless soldiers and joins in the fight. Walker is forced to retreat, but the fire continues to burn and has trapped a young boy named Yoshi inside a house. Michelangelo saves Yoshi from the fire, then Leonardo helps him recover by performing CPR.

As Walker continues bargaining with Lord Norinaga over buying guns in exchange for gold, the turtles spend some time in the village. Donatello decides to have a replica scepter made so they can get back home, while Michaelangelo teaches some of the people about pizza and later tries to console Mitsu about Kenshin, whom she is in love with. Raphael also gets in touch with his sensitive side through the child Yoshi, ironically being the one who teaches Yoshi on how to control his temper. Back in the present, the Honor Guards from the past are quickly adjusting to life in the 20th Century, and Casey decides to challenge them to a hockey game. To Casey’s dismay, the Honor Guards think hockey is about beating up each other. Meanwhile, Kenshin and Splinter show fear that the ninja turtles will not return home in time before their sixty hours are up.

In the past, the replica scepter is completed, but an argument between Michelangelo and Raphael ends up breaking it. To make matters worse, Mitsu informs them that Lord Norinaga has agreed to purchase Walker’s guns and will attack the village in the morning. When Raphael sneaks off to visit Yoshi, however, he is surprised to find the original scepter in the child’s possession. The turtles are overjoyed to see it but are angry at Mitsu for hiding it and essentially forcing them to fight her war, however, Mitsu’s grandfather clarifies that it was his idea to have the turtles fight in her place.

Suddenly, Whit betrays everybody and captures Mitsu, and the turtles return to Norinaga’s palace to save her. After rescuing her, they are cornered by Norinaga and are made to fight waves of his soldiers. The turtles respond by freeing the prisoners in the palace, starting an all-out war on the palace grounds. After a while of fighting, Leo defeats Lord Norinaga in a heated sword duel, comedically finishing him by cutting his hair and then trapping him inside of a bell. Deciding to cut his losses, Walker takes the scepter and tries to escape to his boat. When cornered by the turtles at the dock, Walker throws the scepter into the air as a distraction. The turtles catch the scepter, while Whit launches a catapult at Walker and knocks him off the dock to his death.

The turtles are now ready to return to their own time, but Mikey says he’d rather stay (in particular because he wanted to be with Mitsu). Raphael decides he wants to stay as well because he feels like the Turtles are appreciated in Japan unlike back home. The other turtles and April try to convince them otherwise until Kenshin activates the scepter and makes the decision harder. After a long debate (which included Mitsu telling Mikey to keep his promise about Kenshin returning to the past), Michelangelo reluctantly agrees to go home with his brothers, but just barely misses grabbing the scepter in time. The Honor Guards switch back with the Turtles (all except for Michelangelo). Fortunately, the last remaining Honor Guard activates the scepter and swaps places with Mikey just before the scepter burns out. In the past, Norinaga admits surrender to Mitsu and Kenshin, and the two lovers share a tender reunion. Michaelangelo, meanwhile, is depressed over the thought of growing up, but Splinter cheers him up by performing the “lampshade Elvis” impression, and the rest of the turtles join in with a final dance number.Image result for teenage mutant ninja turtles IIIThe Third film is hated among fans, however I personally love it, the time travel element was well made, the Japanese setting was beautiful. Each turtle character had something to do throughout the film plus its always good to see the return of Casey Jones from the first film.

TWO AND A HALF MENAt the end of season three, Charlie and Alan were headed away from bachelor life. Charlie and girlfriend Mia were getting close to tying the knot. However, when it became clear that Charlie would have to give up Alan and Jake for marriage, he picked family. Despite the fact Alan married his young, ditzy girlfriend Kandi, won five hundred thousand dollars, and bought a condo. Four months later, season four begins and life quickly gets back to normal. Kandi kicks Alan out and files for divorce. He is broke and goes back to Charlie. Since losing Mia, Charlie spent his time partying, boozing, and chasing women. Now, Charlie, Alan, and Jake get reacquainted and there are some solid laughs.MV5BOTY3ODQ2MDUxNV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNjE3Nzg3MjE@._V1_After the guys settle back into bachelor life, there are a couple major season developments. The first development is Alan’s divorce. The early season episodes deal with his financial situation getting worse and worse. Alan loses his condo, his dog, his pride, and pays two alimonies after Judith gives Kandi her divorce lawyer. The flipside to this story is Judith and Herb’s relationship. They get engaged and Alan and Charlie do everything they can to get them hitched. Alan’s romantic life is also a big development. Some of his love interests include Berta’s daughter Naomi and guest stars Brooke Shields and Allison Janney.MV5BMTY5NTA5MzMyMV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzExNDc3MjE@._V1_Life for Charlie is busy as usual. He spends most of his time chasing after women, drinking, and working very little. “Apologies For the Frivolity” is a fantastic episode. Charlie dates a woman who has uncanny similarities to Evelyn. Everyone sees it but Charlie. In the episodes “Smooth As A Ken Doll” and “Aunt Myra Doesn’t Pee A Lot”, Charlie and Herb’s sister Myra hit it off. As the relationship gets intimate, Alan fears how it will affect Judith and Herb. Charlie worries because he thinks he has true feelings for Myra. Everyone is in for a surprise in this highly comical, yet ironic storyline. “Tucked, Taped and Gorgeous” is another solid episode, where Charlie’s sexuality comes into question, as does Alan’s. Charlie has many other fun interludes, but these ones are among the best.MV5BMTg2NzQxNzUzMl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMDMyNDg3MjE@._V1_As for Evelyn, there are a couple great episodes involving her and her overzealous sons. In “The Sea Is a Harsh Mistress”, Charlie goes surfing with a beautiful beach babe. The catch is that he does not know how to surf. He gets in an accident, which leaves him with a slight concussion. Just as Charlie’s life flashed before his eyes, he saw his father, who told him to take care of mother. Charlie teams with Alan to treat their mother better. “I Merely Slept With a Commie” is another fun episode with Evelyn. She makes Charlie and Alan jealous by getting a new family. Overall, season four continues the enjoyable and hilarious comedy found in past seasons.

The group takes refuge at the O’Neil family’s summer home in Northampton, Massachusetts in order to recuperate from their loss at the hands of the Kraang and the Foot Clan. Leonardo takes an extended amount of time to recover, but guided by an apparition of Splinter, is able to overcome his physical and mental wounds. They eventually return to New York with the goal of finding Splinter, Karai, Kirby, and their other missing allies and liberate the city from the Kraang. They are successful in finding Splinter and set up a temporary base in the abandoned Antonio’s Pizza, and Donatello begins work on new samples of retro-mutagen as the search for Kirby and Karai continues.
Meanwhile, Shredder mutates Russian arms dealer Ivan Steranko and his only known disciple, high-tech master thief Anton Zeck, into Bebop and Rocksteady for stealing his helmet, the Kuro Kabuto, and hunting Karai in exchange for a safe departure from the Kraang-invaded city before sending them to find her again. The duo succeed behind the turtles’s backs and Shredder promises to cure her of her misery. The turtles, on the other hand, run into the a recently founded mutant team called the Mighty Mutanimals (consisting of mutant allies that they made during the last two seasons, such as Slash, Leatherhead, Pigeon Pete and former British neurochemist Dr. Tyler Rockwell) who are backed by their human ally Jack J. Kurtzman. Together, they manage to banish the Kraang back to Dimension X and free New York, but the effect of the invasion eventually earns Shredder cemented control of the city’s criminal underworld for his efforts to create a mind-control serum meant for the turtles, Mutanimals and Karai.
The turtles are later offered by future time sorceress Renet to time travel to the past, where they meet up with a younger Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki, as well as Yoshi’s late wife and Karai’s mother, Teng Shen. During the battle between Yoshi and Saki inside the burning Hamato Clan dojo, Shen is accidentally killed by Saki, who meant to kill Yoshi instead. Saki leaves the dojo after his hair burns off from the fire and kidnaps Yoshi and Shen’s baby daughter Miwa, vowing to raise her as Karai and leaving Yoshi to die. After his escape, the turtles save Yoshi, as they were “always destined to” before traveling back to the present with Renet.

When the Kraang return to Earth, the Turtles discover that the Kraang have another enemy from Dimension X in the form of the Triceraton Empire. Despite their best efforts and Shredder violating the Foot Clan’s temporary truce with the Turtles by stabbing Splinter during the fight, the ruthless Triceratons activate the Heart of Darkness, a black hole-creating machine which annihilates both the Kraang, the Earth, and everyone on it. But just as it comes to the worst for the Turtles, April, and Casey, they are rescued by a friendly robot by the name of Professor Honeycutt (aka the Fugitoid) who uses a spacecraft to take the Turtles, April and Casey to a journey into space
All I can say is wow, I’ve enjoyed every release in the nick turtles series, it keeps getting better and better
