Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Twenty years after the events of the first film, Lloyd Christmas has been committed at Baldy View Sanitarium, a mental institution, ever since his doomed romance with Mary Swanson. During a recent visit, Harry Dunne discovers that Lloyd pranked him into thinking he was traumatized the entire time. They head to their apartment, where Harry reveals he needs a donated kidney.

They go to Harry’s old home, but Harry cannot get a kidney from his parents because he was adopted. Harry’s dad gives him his mail that has been piling up since he moved out. It includes a postcard from a former girlfriend, Fraida Felcher, dating back to 1991. It says she is pregnant and needs Harry to call. Fraida admits that she had a daughter named Fanny that she gave up for adoption. She wrote Fanny a letter, only for it to be returned and instructed to never contact her again.Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, and Rob Riggle in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Hoping she can provide a kidney, Lloyd and Harry drive a hearse that Fraida gave them to Oxford, Maryland, where she now lives. Dr. Bernard Pinchelow and his wife Adele are Fanny’s adoptive parents. Fanny, who has taken the name Penny, is going to a KEN Convention in El Paso to give a speech on her father’s life work. Penny is given a package to be given to one of the convention heads but ends up forgetting the package and her phone.Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Adele is secretly trying to poison Bernard and Penny out of jealousy, with the help of her secret lover, the family’s housekeeper, Travis Lippincott. Harry and Lloyd arrive to inform the Pinchelows of their situation. Bernard realizes Penny left the package, which he says is an invention worth billions. Adele suggests that Harry and Lloyd deliver the package to Penny. So that he and Adele can get the contents of the box, Travis accompanies Harry and Lloyd. Annoyed with the duo’s antics, Travis attempts to kill them but dies in a train collision. Adele hears of the death from Travis’s twin brother Captain Lippincott, a former military man who agrees to help her kill Harry and Lloyd.Jim Carrey, Kathleen Turner, and Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)When the duo arrives in El Paso on a stolen Zamboni ice resurfacer, Harry impersonates Bernard, so he and Lloyd are invited to a seminar. They get into an argument when Harry discovers that Lloyd has developed a romantic attraction to Penny. After being escorted out of the convention due to not being on the attendance list, Lloyd gets a call from Penny. After informing Penny that he is in town with her dad, they arrange a meeting during which Lloyd deduces that he, not Harry, is Penny’s father.Jim Carrey and Rachel Melvin in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Adele arrives at the convention with Lippincott and exposes Harry as a fraud, telling the convention heads that he stole the package. Fraida also arrives and tampers with the fire alarm to create a diversion after she and Penny are denied entry. As the building is evacuated, Harry runs into Fraida and Penny, only to have Lippincott and Adele corner them with guns in a bathroom. At this moment, Lloyd returns, having been to Mexico to have one of his own kidneys removed for Lloyd. Lippincott and Adele are about to shoot, but three FBI agents bust in with a healthy-looking Bernard, who knew all along that Adele was trying to poison him. It is revealed that it was Adele, not Penny, who wrote “do not contact again” on Fraida’s letter, and that the “priceless invention” in the package was in fact nothing but cupcakes. Adele attempts to shoot Penny, but Harry jumps in front of the bullet and is severely injured. Adele and Lippincott are arrested.Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Harry is rushed to the hospital where he reveals that he was pranking Lloyd about needing a kidney and both laugh. Fraida tells Harry and Lloyd that Penny’s biological father is a dead high school friend named Pete “Pee-Stain” Stainer. As the duo leave El Paso, they spot two women walking in their direction and shove them into a bush as a joke. Harry and Lloyd run off and high-five each other.Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in Dumb and Dumber To (2014)Well, I was pretty excited to see this one, knowing that no matter how bad it might turn out to be, these two still would never fail at making you laugh, now it’s not as good as the first, but it sure does make you laugh, it’s just unbelievable how dumb these two are, time will never heal how stupid they are, and they sure won’t be getting better any time soon, they’re still as dumb, still funny, and still as entertaining as they were in the first.

ZB beaver attacks JenWhile transporting toxic chemicals, a pair of truckers (one of which is played by the comedian Bill Burr) strike a deer and lose one of their canisters. It rolls into a river, floats downstream, and splashes several beavers at their dam. Later, college students Mary, Zoe, and Jenn arrive at Mary’s cousin’s cabin near the dam. Although Zoe and Jenn are distraught that there is no cell phone coverage, Mary insists that they spend the next two days without interruptions from technology or boys. While swimming at the lake, the girls discover the beaver dam. When Jenn swims closer to see a beaver, they are surprised by a bear. Smyth, a local hunter, scares off the bear and admonishes the girls to stay away from the beavers and dress more appropriately.zombeavers14At night, the girls’ boyfriends – Buck, Tommy, and Sam – arrive and play a prank on them. Annoyed, Mary orders them to leave, but Zoe, who knew they were coming, insists they stay. Jenn talks Mary into letting them stay, as she wants to resolve her relationship issues with Sam, who has cheated on her. As the couples separate, Jenn leaves to take a shower, only to be attacked by a beaver. Tommy kills it with a baseball bat, but Jenn and Mary feel something is wrong with it beyond rabies. They put the corpse in a bag and put it outside on the porch. In the morning, they discover it is missing, and Jenn insists that it was not merely eaten by wildlife.zombeaver3All but Jenn go swimming in the lake. Sam and Mary discuss whether to tell Jenn about their affair, but they are interrupted when beavers chew off Buck’s foot and scratch Tommy. The same beaver that attacked Jenn earlier chases her back to the house. She pins it to the counter with a knife, but not before it scratches her leg. Sam throws Zoe’s dog into the water as a distraction, and the rest of the group flee to the house, where they realize the beavers have cut the phone lines. As zombie beavers surround the house, Tommy offers to leave with Buck to get help, and Zoe accompanies him. Zombeavers-1200x675The beavers bring down a tree in the road, and Tommy sets off on foot, only to be crushed by another falling tree. Smyth rescues Buck and Zoe, and they return to the house, which the others have boarded up. Unable to enter it, they go to the neighbors’ house. They discover the neighbors are dead, and their phone lines cut. As a result of her wounds, Jenn turns into a beaver-like zombie and attacks Mary. As Jenn’s saliva falls in Mary’s mouth, Sam rescues Mary by hitting Jenn from behind. Mary and Sam lock themselves in the bathroom and check each other for scratches. Satisfied that neither is wounded, they begin to have sex, but Jenn interrupts them and kills Sam by biting off his penis. Meanwhile, Buck turns into a zombie and attacks Smyth. Zoe escapes by jumping through a window, bloodying herself in the process.

ZombeaversAs a beaver accidentally sets Mary’s cousin’s house on fire, Sam rises as a zombie. Once Mary kills Sam, she reunites with Zoe. Smyth, now zombified, shoots at them as they flee in his truck. Jenn jumps on top the truck, but Zoe runs her over. Together, Mary and Zoe reach the spot where Tommy died and turned into a zombie. With the road blocked, they decide to walk. Believing that Zoe may be bitten due to her bloody appearance, Mary holds her at gunpoint with a pistol recovered from Smyth’s truck. As Zoe protests that she is not infected, Mary begins changing into a zombie. Zoe kills her with an axe and walks away. On the road, she encounters the same truckers who had earlier dropped the canister, and they run over her accidentally. In a post-credits sequence, a honeybee becomes infected from a corpse and returns to its hive in a zombified state.ZOMBEAVERSCAST2Well, as soon as I saw Zombeavers advertised on Blu-Ray, I knew I had to watch it. The storyline is predictable, the same as most low budget mutated animal films. Right from the off you can tell that the film isn’t taking itself seriously, which is exactly how these sort of films should be made. The acting is okay-ish, not the worst I have seen by far! The dialogue is actually not that bad either, which makes a change! The effects are my absolute favourite part of this film, they are mainly puppets and they do not heavily rely on irritatingly bad CGI., so this film took it back to the old school horrors. It is well worth a watch if you fancy a gory giggle.

104671_d1477bThe film begins with a mother putting on soothing music for her child as she sets her car on railroad tracks and leaves said child in the car to die. The Ryans are a family of four with a strained relationship. Brent, the father, does not approve of his daughter Carly’s new boyfriend; Carly is angry with her father, as well as her mother, Kendall, whom she considers out of touch. Carly also fights with her much younger brother, Josh, who annoys her. Carly is forced to cancel plans with her boyfriend, Damon, for dinner with her visiting grandparents.MV5BMTIxNTA2MzIyOF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwNTYwNDY2._V1_As Carly is at school, an unexplained static starts transmitting through TV screens and radios. The effect is seen as the Ryans’ housekeeper murders her own daughter with a meat tenderizer in front of a terrified Josh and a mob of parents rushes Carly’s school in an effort to kill their children by any means they can (with Carly seeing one preteen classmate, Evan, being stabbed with a set of keys by his own mother after he scales a fence to reach her). Carly escapes the school with her friend Riley and hides out at her house, where Riley’s mom attacks and strangles Riley to death. Carly runs home in terror, running into Damon — who has killed his own father in self-defense — as she does. Damon tells Carly that the parents only want to kill their own kids, and accompanies her home to get Josh somewhere safe.213228-5429-clp-950After an exercise class, Kendall goes to the hospital to be present for her sister Jeannie’s baby, but the static transmits just after Jeannie gives birth, causing her to attempt to kill her baby daughter as Kendall protects her niece. Kendall escapes the hospital, seeing reports of the mass hysteria on television—the static gives parents a compulsion to slaughter their children. In an effort to protect her own children, Kendall heads home. Brent heads home as well, as he is bored at work.105315_d01086bHaving discovered her brother cowering under his bed Carly leads him downstairs after dismissing the house keeper because she had just killed her daughter, Lisa. Upon seeing Carly with Damon at home, the hysteria fully overtakes Brent, and he knocks Damon out and attacks Carly. Kendall joins him upon getting home; Carly and Josh escape them and lock themselves in the basement. After failing to coax them out, Brent and Kendall start using a power saw to get through the lock, Josh pulls out Brent’s gun from a backpack and fires continuously through the door, wounding his mother, with Kendall complaining to Brent about secretly getting a firearm with such an obvious lock combination (Josh’s birthday) while bandaging her injury. Kendall and Brent bond over their shared desire to kill their children, and run a hose from their oven’s gas pump to the basement in an effort to poison the kids. When Carly sees the gas, she rigs up a trap with matches at the basement door and hides with Josh in the house ventilation system. Brent cuts the door’s lock off and opens the door, igniting the gas and triggering an explosion that knocks Kendall and Brent out and wakes Damon up.105242_wb_0071bDamon helps Carly and Josh evade their parents, but Kendall wakes up, stabs him in the cheek with a wire hanger and pushes him over a stair railing, knocking him out again. The parents close in on the kids, but are interrupted by the doorbell; Brent’s parents have arrived for dinner. When he opens the door, his mother pepper sprays him and his father stabs him, revealing that the hysteria affects grandparents as well (with Josh begging his grandfather not to kill his dad, making him pause, allowing Brent to briefly disarm his father). Everyone chases each other through the house. Josh evades Brent, who attempts to hide from his father in his car in the garage. Kendall chases Carly outside and hits her on the head, but Brent’s mother attacks her. Brent starts the car, drives it out of the garage, and crashes it, killing both his parents and knocking himself out again. Kendall prepares to finish Carly off, but Damon knocks her out with a shovel to the head.MV5BZmE2YWRkNDktN2RjZC00YTE0LTgxMWUtZjVjZmVlNTk2MzBiXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjEwNTM2Mzc@._V1_SX1777_CR0,0,1777,743_AL_Kendall and Brent wake up to find themselves restrained in the basement with Carly, Josh, and Damon watching them. They continue to exhibit symptoms of the hysteria, and the kids refuse to let them go. Kendall tearfully tells the children she loves them, and Brent continues, “But sometimes, we just want to—”. The film ends before he can finish his sentence.MV5BNjI1OTdmNDEtNDc4My00MWQ4LTk1MGUtMjljMTFmODhhN2JkXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjEwNTM2Mzc@._V1_SX1777_CR0,0,1777,746_AL_Wonderful pitchblack comedy where Nic Cage shines once again. Brilliantly edited with a thumping score that meshes perfectly with the violence, this film gets your blood going and isn’t afraid to cross all boundaries. The flashbacks are a little grating, and serve to break the films pacing more than anything else, instead of serving the – perhaps not fully implemented – metaphor that everybody has a breaking point and hates the people they’re supposed to love from time to time. But apart from that, a great, roaring action-comedy-thriller-horror.

Kim Raver and John Boyd in Bones (2005)At the end of season 10, Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) both decided to quit their jobs at the Jeffersonian and the FBI respectively. Now, six months later, their daughter Christine (Sunnie Pelant) has a little baby brother, and Booth is training new FBI recruits for a living. They seem to be happy in their new situation, and today seems like no other when Booth takes off to work. Meanwhile at the Jeffersonian, Cam (Tamara Taylor), Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are called out to a crime scene, where they find a body in a burnt car. The team fear the worst when they find out that the gun that was found with the victim belongs to Booth. Also the initial examination of the bones makes it appear that he is the victim. Dr. Brennan decides to come to the Jeffersonian herself, as the situation is driving her crazy, and she eventually finds out that the remains aren’t Booth’s, but his brother’s, Jared. The question remains where Booth is, and how his brother ended up dead.David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel in Bones (2005)Eventually, everything turns back to normal by episode three, and Bones and Booth are back at their old jobs, just like they used to be. Murders keep on happening, and Booth and Aubrey (John Boyd) work closely together with the team of the Jeffersonian to bring the killers to justice. While the season focuses foremost on the cases themselves, there are some developments in the personal lives of the characters as well.David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, and Betty White in Bones (2005)Each episode has a good flow to it, where many suspects are considered along the way, and the outcome is often unpredictable. The format remains the same as in the previous seasons, namely a focus on the cases, where reexamining the bones over and over will eventually prove to be vital in finding the murderer.David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel in Bones (2005)While the flow of the individual cases is quite enjoyable, the personal story of the characters gets to the background quite a lot. Every now and then you will find out more about Cam’s love life, Angela and Hodgins’ marriage or Aubrey’s new crush, but nothing major steps out until halfway the season. There have been no major changes to the cast since last season, and it’s safe to say that the current team of actors all did well.David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, and Jay Thomas in Bones (2005)Bones has been one of my all time favourite series and season 11 is no exception! with a great cliffhanger leaving you hanging for Season 12 (the final season) .

Deanne Bray in Heroes (2006)

The first season of Heroes remains a landmark moment in television. Taking Watchmen’s ‘if superheroes existed’ thesis to its natural conclusion, the show’s realisation of the ultimate nerd fantasy of ordinary people with extraordinary powers and subtle nods to comic book tropes was a revelation, producing one of TV’s all time great villains, the delightfully menacing Sylar. Then it all fell apart.Masi Oka in Heroes (2006)The fun, frenetic pace of the first season was almost completely absent from its follow-up. In a jarring and completely misjudged shift of tone, the show became more about the nefarious dealings of the mysterious ‘Company’ and less about character development and the simple joy of watching a cheerleader mend her own bloody and broken shinbone. (The season also introduced the worst superpower ever: the ability to kill by dilating your pupils.) Admittedly, this was partially as a result of the 07/08 US writers’ strike, but the show never recovered critically, haemorrhaging viewers at an alarming pace. In following this unmitigated disaster, Tim Kring and co attempted to return to the heart of what made the show such a blast in the first place and, a handful of ridiculous plot points aside, they have been reasonably successful. However, viewers had lost faith and THE show was officially axed by NBC.Robert Knepper in Heroes (2006)However, with the fourth and final season going back to basics, as well as injecting some much needed warmth and depth into several previously underdeveloped characters, Heroes definitely went out with a bang. Season four follows the characters attempts to return to normality following the tragic events of Nathan Petrelli’s death at the hands of Sylar. In an attempt to keep his death a secret, psychic ex-cop Matt Parkman enters an unconscious and powerless Sylar’s mind, convincing him he is Nathan. All does not go to plan, however, as Sylar’s subdued consciousness worms its way into Matt’s head, taunting him and attempting to force Parkman to restore his identity by any means necessary.Robert Knepper and Zachary Quinto in Heroes (2006)Hiro Nakamura, previously just a loveable, if highly one-dimensional, comic book nerd, is finally given some depth, after discovering he is terminally ill with a brain tumour. Following a mysterious encounter with shadowy carnival owner Samuel Sullivan (played to creepy perfection by Prison Break’s Robert Knepper), Hiro decides to use his time travelling powers to change tragic or regretful moments in his past, often to destructive effect. The majority of the plot revolves around the arrival of Samuel’s peculiar fair. As self-healing cheerleader-turned-fresher Claire Bennet soon discovers, it is much more than a travelling freak show. The carnival is a tight knit group of ‘heroes’ travelling under the radar. However, as Samuel tries to convince Claire to join his family, things may not be as they appear.Hayden Panettiere and Madeline Zima in Heroes (2006)With season four, the creators have finally realised what it is viewers loved about Heroes in the first place. Like all good comic books, the series is a rollercoaster ride, with an engaging (if a tad stupid) plot, and a plethora of dastardly villains. Characters are given conflict that, for a change, is genuinely thrilling. Hiro’s awful dilemma is particularly heartbreaking, bringing some essential empathy to what was previously the show’s increasingly tired comic relief. Although it may have proven too little, too late for casual viewers, the season is a worthy farewell to what deserves to be remembered as one TV’s most enjoyable shows.
