Three years after the destruction of the Death Star, the Rebel Alliance has been driven from their former base on Yavin IV by the Galactic Empire. The Rebels, led by Princess Leia, set up their new base on the ice planet Hoth. The Imperial fleet, led by Darth Vader, continues to hunt for the Rebels’ new base by dispatching probe droids across the galaxy.
While investigating a potential meteor strike, Luke Skywalker is captured by a wampa. He manages to escape from its cave with his lightsaber, but soon succumbs to the brutally cold temperatures. The ghost of his late mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, instructs him to go to the Dagobah system to train under Jedi Master Yoda. He is found by Han Solo, who uses the warmth of his dead tauntaun to keep Luke warm while he sets up a shelter. Han and Luke make it through the night and are rescued by Zev Senesca.
On patrol, Han and Chewbacca discover the asteroid Luke had planned to investigate is actually a probe droid, which alerts the Empire to the Rebels’ location. The Empire launches a large-scale attack, using AT-AT Walkers to capture the base. Han and Leia escape on the Millennium Falcon with C-3PO and Chewbacca, but their hyperdrive malfunctions. They hide in an asteroid field, where Han and Leia grow closer. Vader summons bounty hunters, including the notorious Boba Fett, to assist in finding the Falcon. Luke, meanwhile, escapes with R2-D2 in his X-wing fighter and crash-lands on the swamp planet Dagobah. He meets a diminutive creature who is revealed to be Yoda; after conferring with Obi-Wan’s spirit, Yoda reluctantly accepts Luke as his pupil.
After evading the Empire, Han sets a course for Cloud City, a floating colony in the skies of the planet Bespin. Cloud City is run by Han’s old friend, Lando Calrissian. Unknowingly, the Millennium Falcon has been tracked by Boba Fett; shortly after they arrive, Lando leads the group into a trap and they are handed over to Darth Vader. Vader plans to use the group as bait to lure out Luke, intending to capture him alive and take him to the Emperor. During his training on Dagobah, Luke sees a premonition of Han and Leia in pain and, against Yoda’s wishes, leaves to save them.
Vader goes back on his agreement with Lando and takes Leia and Chewbacca into custody. He intends to hold Luke in suspended animation via carbon freezing, and, as a test, freezes Han in a block of carbonite. He hands the frozen Han over to Fett, who intends to leave for Tatooine to deliver Han to Jabba the Hutt and claim the bounty on Solo’s head. Lando, who was forced into cooperating with the Empire, initiates an escape and frees Leia and the others. They try to save Han but are unable to stop Fett. They then flee Cloud City in the Falcon.
Luke arrives at Cloud City and falls into Vader’s trap. The two engage in a lightsaber duel that leads them over the city’s central air shaft where, as his mentors warned, Luke proves to be no match for Vader who severs Luke’s right hand, causing him to lose his weapon. After Luke refuses to join Vader against the Emperor, Vader reveals that he is Luke’s father. Horrified, Luke falls through the air shaft. He is ejected beneath the floating city and makes a desperate telepathic plea to Leia, who senses it and persuades Lando to return for him in the Falcon. R2-D2 repairs the Falcon’s hyperdrive, allowing them to escape the Empire. Later, aboard a Rebel medical frigate, Luke’s amputated hand is replaced with a robotic prosthetic. Lando and Chewbacca set off for Tatooine in the Falcon in order to save Han. As the Falcon departs, Luke, Leia, R2-D2, and C-3PO look on and await word from Lando.

Tho more famed for its dark undertones, Empire is for sure still a very fun movie, C3PO goes into camp overdrive and Han Solo ups his quip quota by some margin. Then of course there is Yoda, in himself a comedic joy. The action sequences beg for repeat viewings, a battle on the ice laden planet Hoth is a marvel and the choreography for Skywalker’s fight with Darth Vader is out of the top draw. But ultimately it’s with the dark side that the picture excels. Complex and amazingly posing moral quandary’s, The Empire Strikes Back is quite an experience, one that will forever hold up to repeat viewings for this particular viewer.

The series is a satirical depiction of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, television, and many aspects of the human condition. Modern Simpsons episodes are often both overstuffed and under-imagined, resulting in two indifferent, inadequately realized stories. Even though the show has dropped in creativity and in the joke department, it’s still worthy.960

By its fourth series, The Simpsons had come far enough for Lisa to make a self-referential joke about Dustin Hoffman’s and Michael Jackson’s pseudonymous guest voice appearances in series 2 and 3, respectively. In this series, no less than Elizabeth Taylor (in two episodes), Bette Midler and even the reclusive Johnny Carson blessed The Simpsons with their iconic presences. Awhile back, US magazine Entertainment Weekly ranked the top 25 Simpsons episodes. Five gems from series 4 cracked the top 12, including the (debatable) choice for No. 1, “Last Exit to Springfield”

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVI

Image result for TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVIIn the opening, using an accelerator-beam (despite Kodos fearing that “the fabric of the Universe itself may shatter!”), Kang hopes to speed up an exceedingly slow and boring World Series baseball game to air Treehouse of Horror XVI (which Kang thought wouldn’t air until “Administrative Professionals Day” if the slow game kept up, Kodos of course telling him that they “must remember to get Dorothy something”), but ends up turning the baseball players into a giant black hole that destroys the universe. Kodos gets angry at Kang for doing so (“Smooth move, space-lax! You’ve destroyed the totality of existence!”), but Kang states that it will be fine, leaving a note on the screen showing the Treehouse’s title (“It’ll be fine. I’ll just leave a note.”).

Although the family is now together again, Homer is now angry that he has to be fused with David’s lower half. David’s legs then break off due to Homer’s weight, much to Homer’s dismay, but before the situation can get any crazier, it is revealed that the entire robot scenario is a dream conjured by Homer’s demonically possessed mind as he is being exorcised. Marge reluctantly says she’ll call work and tell them Homer can’t make it in, much to Homer’s delight.

The hunt appears on TV, and Marge, watching from home, claims she should have known something was up when seeing the new TV Guide, which featured a picture of Burns and Smithers chasing Homer with the caption “Must Flee TV!” (as a take-off of “Must See TV!”). Homer manages to survive the night while his friends and the others are killed left and right, but Burns closes in on him in the morning. Just as he is about to be shot, Burns and Smithers are both knocked out with frying pans by Marge, who then hits Homer on the head for being away from home for eighteen hours and not calling home once, before they end up having make-up sex.

I’ve Grown a Costume on Your Face

In a parody of classic Twilight Zone episode “The Masks”, the citizens of Springfield dress in their Halloween costumes for a costume contest. Dr. Hibbert is declared second placed victor, with first place awarded to a strange old witch. When given the award and asked who she is, she is forced to admit that she is a real witch. As a result, her reward is rescinded because she is not in actual costume. In anger, she turns everyone into their costumed characters and glides away on her broom. The only person who can reverse the spell is Maggie, who was costumed as a witch, and has become one as a result.
Half of the townspeople want to be turned back into their normal selves, including the Bumblebee Man, who was transformed into a giant bee, and Ned Flanders, chased by the bee as a result of turning into a flower. Unhappy members of the Simpson family include Lisa, who was turned into Albert Einstein, Marge, who became a skeleton, and Homer, who was no longer able to drink beer without spilling it because his head was severed from his body. The remaining townspeople do not wish to be transformed back to their original selves due to their costumes improving their lives. Examples include Bart, who has become a werewolf, Milhouse, who now has become a bulldozer, Moe who now has women thanks to dressing up as Hugh Hefner, and Sideshow Mel, who is now Spider-Man. Maggie turns them all, including Dennis Rodman, Kang, and Kodos, into pacifiers with their normal heads for no apparent reason other than her obsession for pacifiers, and flies off on a broom to the theme tune of Bewitched.

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVII

The episode begins with a parody of Tales from the Crypt, with Mr. Burns as the Crypt Keeper. The scene begins in a dungeon room, where a crypt opens, and after several waves of rats, snakes, spiders, and rabbits crawl out of a coffin, the Cryptkeeper sits up in it. He proclaims himself to be the master of “scare-amonies” to the delight of zombie Smithers. A bound Moe interrupts in protest and is killed in an iron maiden, his blood spilling onto the floor and spelling out “Treehouse of Horror XVII”. Moe himself takes delight in this and proclaims “A Ho Ho! Look at that my blood is a genius! Fancy Roman numerals and everything!”

Married to the Blob

In a parody of The Blob, as Homer and Marge make out in the backyard, a meteorite falls nearby, burning off the top of Marge’s hair in the process. It cracks open to reveal a green gooey substance that resembles a burning marshmallow. Homer, despite his family’s objections (and the goo’s attempts to flee), puts it on a stick and devours it. Later that night, his stomach rumbles from hunger, and Homer eats all the available food. He also eats Snowball V and then he attempts to eat Bart but is stopped by Marge. Homer then becomes morbidly obese, and eats a teenager in an attempt to “savor” him from the flames of a barbecue fire. Homer morphs into a giant green blob, rampaging through the streets of Springfield, eating all the overweight people he can find. Homer snacks on bus passengers as if they were chocolates and decapitates Ned Flanders. Dr. Phil McGraw shows up with the Simpson family and tells Homer to stop for their sakes. Homer ends his rampaging for fear of losing Marge and vows to use his insatiable appetite for more constructive purposes (he eats Dr. Phil anyway; his last words are “Food does not equal love!”). Later, Mayor Quimby dedicates a new homeless shelter. The homeless people enter the shelter, only to find themselves inside Homer’s gut.

You Gotta Know When to Golem

In a parody of The Golem, at the end of an episode of Krusty’s show, Bart goes backstage to complain about an acid-spraying Krusty brand alarm clock. There he finds the Golem of Prague, a creature from Jewish mythology. Krusty tells Bart that in the 17th century, the Golem was sculpted out of clay by a powerful rabbi and would obey any command written on a scroll and placed in his mouth. Although the golem was created ostensibly to protect Jewish villages, he would obey any scroll placed in his mouth, evil or good. He had been passed down through many generations and now works for Krusty (primarily to deal with hecklers). Bart steals the Golem by writing a command for him to come to his home at midnight. At midnight, the Golem shows up at the Simpsons’ house. From then on, Bart uses him to carry out his commands: swinging Principal Skinner up and down like a yo-yo until he splits in half, and kicking Homer’s walls (the result of a misunderstanding, as the Golem cannot read Bart’s handwriting). Lisa thinks the Golem does not like doing the biddings of others and feeds him a scroll reading “Speak”. The Golem (voiced by Richard Lewis) attempts to roar, then coughs, and reveals that he is a decent being who feels guilty about being used to commit heinous acts, and then he throws up excessive scrolls, one of which reads “Kill the Czar”. To make him feel better, the Simpsons create a female Golem (voiced by Fran Drescher) out of Play-Doh. The two are married by Rabbi Hyman Krustofski and the female Golem convinces Chief Wiggum not to press charges with the promise of pan-fried latkes, a Jewish delicacy (though she only gets to the words “pan fried” before Wiggum agrees).

The Day the Earth Looked Stupid

The population of Springfield are fooled by Orson Welles’ infamous The War of the Worlds 1938 radio broadcast and believe the world has been invaded. Mass panic breaks out, and the citizens begin rioting. Marge voices her belief that the Martians will only destroy humans, so Sideshow Mel suggests they foil the aliens by cavorting naked in the mud like animals. They do this until the following day, when Lisa tells the citizens that it was all a hoax. Angry at being fooled, the citizens of Springfield vow to never fall for such a trick again. Meanwhile, Kang and Kodos, observing the entire event from their orbiting spaceship, decide this is the perfect time for a real invasion, and begin destroying what is left of the town. True to their word, the town does not believe that it is a real invasion and ignores it. Orson Welles comes to Springfield and admits it is not a staged act, but is unable to rouse the disbelieving citizens. The segment ends by jumping forward to three years later, with Kang and Kodos looking over the ruins of occupied Springfield and mulling on what went wrong and why they were not greeted as liberators, as they planned the invasion to rid Earth of “weapons of mass disintegration” which they refer to as “Operation Enduring Occupation” (in a reference to the war on Iraq). The segment ends with the camera pulling away from the smoking ruins of what was once Springfield, as the song “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire” by the Ink Spots plays.

The Day The Earth Looked Stupid  was Halloween Simpsons at its greatest.

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVII

In the opening sequence, Marge talks about Halloween being “last week” and suddenly various logos for other Fox shows pop up on the screen, including the mini logos for American Idol, Fox Sports, Prison Break, Cops, House, and 24. Marge winds up killing several miniature characters that pop up from the logos and bakes them into meatloaf, which she serves to her family. When she cuts it, the other characters’ body parts are shown to spell out the title, “Treehouse of Horror XVIII” and the opening credits.

E.T., Go Home

In a parody of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Marge tells Bart to get butane from their “butane storage shed” in the back yard. As he does so, he finds Kodos there. Kodos states his desire is to return home and that he had come to Earth in peace, though he hints that he was really sent there to destroy mankind. Bart, however, is oblivious to this, and decides to help him return home. Lisa arrives and is happy with the alien in their home and decides to help Bart and Kodos obtain a list of devices (including two tickets to see Avenue Q, Uranium, and “7 billion body bags”) that he can use to contact his home planet, though this appears to be part of his diabolical plan. Homer discovers Kodos when the two accidentally share a shower, but he and Marge decide to let the kids help Kodos anyway, after Kodos hints it would be racist to turn him away (He said that they did not want him in the house because he was Jewish). When NASA agents arrive at the Simpsons home, Homer distracts them by dressing as Abraham Lincoln while Bart sneaks Kodos out. However, when Kodos kills several agents along the way, Bart begins to think Kodos’s intentions are not as friendly as he was led to believe. Finally, Kodos reveals that the devices he had the Simpsons collect were for a portal-generating device so that others of her planet can come to Earth and wipe out the human race and eat their heads. When the aliens (including Kang) invade, the rest of the Simpson family shows up, along with the military. A brief war is waged, and Earth ultimately overpowers the aliens (the massive heads of Kodos’ species make them easy targets for attack helicopters). When Bart is given the option to board a helicopter and shoot Kodos, Bart, seeing Kodos’ smile, decides to spare him. However, Homer shoots Kodos several times. In the end, Earth emerges victorious and the world is saved. The Simpsons are invited to see Kodos’s dissection, where they reflect that since Kodos was an evil-looking alien who turned out to be bad, it must be good to judge a book by its cover. It is revealed that Kodos is still very much alive, as he points what is happening is actually vivisection, only to be suffocated with a pillow by Homer.

Mr. & Mrs. Simpson

In a parody of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Homer and Marge are at a marriage counseling session, recounting a brief moment of tension between them. In the flashback, when arriving home, Homer locks himself in the bathroom and communicates on a hidden flat screen television, where it is revealed Homer is an assassin assigned to eliminate news reporter, Kent Brockman, by order of Homer’s boss, Mr. Burns. Although the bathroom is locked, Bart somehow got in and is sitting on a Mortar, which was the toilet. Before he leaves, he tells Marge he will be coming home late from “Midnight Monkey Madness.” Marge also states that she is busy turning over wheelbarrows. When Homer prepares to shoot Brockman at his rooftop party from a faraway platform, a woman with large blonde hair (whom Homer dubs “the Mystery Skank”) stabs Brockman in the chest. After Homer attempts to repeatedly shoot the woman (ending up with several civilian deaths), he manages to shoot the wig off her head, revealing the “mystery skank” to be Marge.
27
Arriving home, the two avoid each other’s eyes, and Marge makes an excuse for the blonde wig. Unfortunately at dinner, Homer (thinking that he is talking in his head) exclaims “I’ll kill her [Marge] after dessert!” which leads the two attempting to kill one another with various weapons such as grenades, rifles, and a minigun, all the while arguing why the other was an assassin, end up destroying most of their house, and killing Grampa Simpson. After killing Chief Wiggum with a crossbow, the two realize they are more attracted with one another when they kill someone together. For this, they soon begin making love over Chief Wiggum’s body and, back to where the episode started, they both realized that they did not need any marriage counseling, but to kill people together. In the end, it turns out that the two were called into Principal Skinner’s office to discuss Bart’s misbehavior on the bus, with Skinner wondering why the two thought they were in a marriage counselor’s office. The two promptly shoot Principal Skinner in the head.

Heck House

On Halloween night, Bart (dressed as the Frankenstein’s monster), Lisa (dressed as a witch), Milhouse (dressed as an astronaut) and Nelson (dressed as a hobo) become frustrated by Agnes Skinner refusing to give them candy, instead spitting into Milhouse’s pumpkin, which was full of candy. Deciding to honor the true meaning of “trick-or-treat,” they begin to pull pranks on everyone. Soon, however, their pranks turn into vandalism and everyone begins to complain. However Homer tells them to lighten up and says “it’s halloween the night for mischief and merriment”, but then in a sudden a pig is thrown on him (possibly the same one from the movie) and then the camera turns up to the kids who are the ones who did it laugh and leave while everyone stares at them. Sideshow Mel shouts out loud “those monsters must be stopped”. Ned Flanders then offers his services to teach them a lesson and fashions the church into a “heck house.” This attracts their attention and they decide to give it a try. Ned Flanders tries to simulate what could happen to them for their sins through the use of crude role-playing by Rod and Todd Flanders, but they scoff at his attempts. Ned then turns to God to give him the power to scare them into loving God and subsequently transforms into the Devil (reprising his role from “Treehouse of Horror IV”), sending the kids to Hell. There he brings up an enormous crystal ball revealing Springfield to be full of the Seven Deadly Sins, and shows them simulations of how they may suffer; Gluttony: Homer slurps his spaghetti too fast, and ends up being turned into spaghetti himself.
Image result for TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVIIiWrath (called Anger here): Groundskeeper Willie kicks his tractor in frustration and ends up decapitated by it after it transforms into a robot. Pride: Doctor Hibbert gets crushed by a truck (driven by Hans Moleman) after putting a “My Child Is An Honor Student” bumper sticker on his car and taking pride in it. Sloth: Homer is killed again (despite Homer claiming that he already died from eating the magic spaghetti) when he slides through the hammock mesh and gets cubed to pieces Lust, Greed, and Envy: Moe drools over a stripper dancing for him, steals her money, and envies “the crotchless” after getting kicked in the groin.
Hell is then shown with various people from Springfield who have punishments from their doings on Earth. The children resolve not to perform any of the sins again. Ned returns them back to the surface, reverting to his original form.

Ending sequence

The episode ends with Ned Flanders telling the viewers that they will go to Hell for watching Fox, its affiliates, FX, Fox Sports and reading The Wall Street Journal, which he welcomes to the “club”. Image result for TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XVIIiThe best of the three is Mr and Mrs Simpson, loved the parody and its well suited to the Simpsons.

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XIX

In the opening scene, Homer tries to vote for Democratic Senator Barack Obama in the 2008 American presidential election. However, the voting machine is rigged to turn his vote into one for Republican Senator John McCain. After six attempts to vote Homer heads out to report the mishap (“This machine is RIGGED! MUST TELL PRESIDENT MCCAIN!”) but the machine sucks him in and kills him, then shoots out his body out of the voting booth. Jasper sticks a patriotic-themed “I voted” sticker on Homer’s forehead.

Untitled Robot Parody

In a parody of Transformers, Bart buys Lisa a Malibu Stacy convertible as a Christmas present. However, the car turns out to be a Transformer. The robot transforms all of the technology in Springfield into robots so they can wage war with each other. Just as two machine factions’ leaders prepare to face off, Marge asks why the robots are at war with one another; as it turns out, they cannot even remember. Thanking Marge, the two sides declare that they will work together, only for the “Optimus Prime-esque” robot to shout “we shall enslave your planet!” The two factions of sentient machines work together to overthrow humanity in which they use Homer’s idea of Springfield’s residents in a game of foosball.

How to Get Ahead in Dead-Vertising

Homer takes Maggie to a daycare and encourages her to enjoy a mural featuring Krusty the Clown to make her feel better while she is away from her parents. However, Krusty arrives to have the images of his face sandblasted from the mural, as his likeness is trademarked and used without his permission. This left Maggie upset and an outraged Homer shoves Krusty in retaliation, sending him flying into a wood chipper and shredded alive. Homer is later approached by two advertising agents who have heard of his deed and explain their plan to use celebrities’ likenesses in advertising without issues over permission by simply killing the celebrities who refuse to lend their names to advertising. Homer is then hired as a celebrity assassin, taking out such famous faces as George Clooney (by replacing wet cement with quicksand), Prince (by strangling and stabbing him with his own guitar) and Neil Armstrong (by hitting him with a golf club, in the style of a Rube Goldberg machine). In Heaven, the dead celebrities are outraged by this and stage an attack on the living, with Homer as their main target. Ghost Krusty blasts Homer in the head with a shotgun, after Ghost Krusty tells him that the one true religion is a mix between Methodist and voodoo. Ghost Homer gets revenge by locking out all the celebrities in Heaven, but the joke is on him when an apparently gay Ghost Abraham Lincoln pretends to be Ghost Homer’s friend so he can hit on him for all eternity

It’s the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse

In a parody of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Milhouse waits in a pumpkin patch on Halloween for the Grand Pumpkin (which Bart made up) with Lisa. After Lisa sees everyone at school having a Halloween party, she grows tired of waiting and leaves in frustration. Milhouse starts to cry and his tears and childlike belief bring the Grand Pumpkin to life. However, the Pumpkin is appalled to find that his kindred pumpkins are being carved up on Halloween and made into pumpkin bread, originally thinking it was bread especially made for pumpkins until Milhouse revealed it is made from them, and vows revenge. He devours Homer as he carves a pumpkin, then marches to the school and eats Nelson who threatens to stab a yellow pumpkin. It becomes apparent at this point that the Grand Pumpkin is racist towards this type of pumpkin and then eats Groundskeeper Willie after being offered roasted pumpkin seeds. Realizing that Milhouse can bring things to life by believing in them, Lisa tells him about “Tom Turkey”, a symbol of Thanksgiving. Milhouse starts to believe in Tom Turkey, who comes to life and kills the Grand Pumpkin, freeing everyone he ate. However, when Tom Turkey learns that people eat turkeys on Thanksgiving from Bart, he vows revenge and starts angrily chasing children around the school, devouring some of them whole as Marge wishes the viewers happy holidays.

This segment may not be all that gory, but it’s funny and, quite honestly, it will just make you feel good.

TREEHOUSE OF HORROR XX

Traditional horror movie characters such as Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy, the Wolf Man, and Dracula roam the streets of Springfield on Halloween night. After they are teased by Dolph, Jimbo, and Kearney, they get new, more modern costumes from a Halloween store, with Frankenstein’s monster as SpongeBob, Dracula as Iron Man, The Wolf Man as Harry Potter and The Mummy as Captain Jack Sparrow. They then go to an adult Halloween party thrown by Homer and Marge, but are soon confronted by their wives, who are angry that their husbands lied about going out to kill children tonight. Homer tries to intervene as the wives begin to assault their husbands, only to be decapitated, and his eyes are then replaced with two red x’s, the title of the episode then appears onscreen.

Dial “M” for Murder or Press “#” to Return to Main Menu

In a parody of Strangers on a Train, Lisa wants revenge after being sent to detention by Ms. Hoover for disrupting class as she claims another student topped her through a tutor. Bart hatches a “criss-cross” plan and tells Lisa that if she pulls a “ding-dong ditch” on Mrs. Krabappel, he will do the same to Ms. Hoover. Lisa thinks this means ringing the bell at Mrs. Krabappel’s apartment and leaving. However, Lisa soon learns that Bart meant for her to kill Mrs. Krabappel (and dump the corpse in a ditch), as he has killed Ms. Hoover. Bart attempts to coax Lisa into killing Mrs. Krabappel with a paper cutter, but she refuses. Eventually, Bart decides to blackmail her into it with help from Willie, who would frame Lisa for the decapitated Skinner to honor his side of the “criss-cross” in which Bart killed Skinner. Realizing that Bart would frame her for these incidents, Lisa tricks him into belief that she was submitting at his will only to get a knife from his hands and attempts to kill Bart in self-defense, beginning a chase sequence. Bart finally finds shelter at a crowded playground carousel, but is left at Lisa’s mercy when the other children leave to get ice cream. Lisa, however, recognizing that she would not be better than Bart, says she will never be a murderer, and attempts to throw the knife away. The knife cycles out of control and ends up nailing Bart in the head just as Mrs. Krabappel appears, pleased at his death. Despite her shock for accidentally killed Bart, Lisa agrees that it is better this way and she and Krabappel walk away smiling, leaving the murdered Bart to spin around on the carousel.

Don’t Have a Cow, Mankind

Don't Have A Cow, Mankind Pic.jpg
Krusty the Clown introduces a new version of his Krusty Burger, the Burger2, made from cattle that have eaten other cattle in their feed. Upon eating a burger on live television, Kent Brockman begins to comment on the taste before turning, gray, red-eyed, and cannibalistic, starting a chain reaction of people getting eaten. Twenty-eight days later, Springfield has become overrun by zombies (again and for the third time, not counting a Halloween-themed couch gag) — only now, they are referred to as “munchers.” The Simpsons are established to be one of the few survivors. One day, Bart, tired of eating fruit, escapes from his family’s barricaded house and eats one of the burgers, but turns out to be immune to its effects. Over the phone, a besieged Dr. Hibbert (who is fighting back quite well until the end of the phone call) tells them that Bart’s immunity may be the key to developing a cure to the epidemic, a genetic “chosen one”, and that they must bring Bart to a so-called “safe zone” outside the city. The Simpsons are attacked by the munchers after a failed attempt to sneak out. They are saved by Apu (after Rainier Wolfcastle failed his attempt), driving an armored off-road truck. Apu explains that he was never infected because, as a vegan and a Hindu, he is morally opposed to eating anything that was once an animal, and, as a convenience store clerk, he is “armed to the teeth” in case of a store robbery or a zombie apocalypse. The group tries to leave Springfield, but Apu crashes the truck on top of a pile of smashed cars. Apu goes to push the car off the pile, but the Simpsons drive away thinking Apu sacrificed himself, when he actually wanted the Simpsons to wait for him. After Apu is killed, the Simpsons drive on but run out of gas, walking the rest of the way to the safe zone. During their journey, Homer is bitten by a muncher Mr. Burns after picking off his nose, thinking he was dead, thus turning him into a muncher himself. The family decide not to kill him in the hopes of finding a cure. They reach the safe zone, where Bart – being immune to the muncher virus – is worshiped as the “chosen one”. However, the people there believe that cannibalizing Bart will save them from the virus. The Simpsons think of another solution: vaccinating the remaining populace by having Bart bathe in their food before eating it.

There’s No Business Like Moe Business

In a parody of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, in which is presented like a Broadway musical, Moe is lonely and upset that he does not have a girlfriend and is jealous when he sees Homer and Marge together. When Homer falls into the basement of the bar and is impaled by the microbrew pipes, his blood becomes the secret ingredient in Moe’s new beer. Everyone loves this new beer, saying that it makes them feel warm, secure and cozy on the inside. Moe uses this to his advantage and woos Marge, tricking her into thinking that Homer came out of the closet as a homosexual and left Marge, when in reality, Homer is slowly dying from losing blood. Homer emerges, alive, despite being impaled by Moe’s microbrew machine, hurls a dummy of Moe across the room, and reunites with Marge.

Ending

Then, the whole audience except for Kang and Kodos gather onstage and conclude the episode by singing “Number XX” Where Kang then shushes the audience, gesturing at Kodos, who has fallen asleep with the playbill over his helmet.

Ben Kingsley and Rohini Hattangadi in Gandhi (1982)On 30 January 1948, after an evening prayer, an elderly Gandhi is helped out for his evening walk to meet a large number of greeters and admirers. One visitor, Nathuram Godse, shoots him point blank in the chest. Gandhi exclaims, “Oh, God!”, and then falls dead.Ben Kingsley and Terrence Hardiman in Gandhi (1982)In 1893, the 23-year-old Gandhi is thrown off a South African train for being an Indian sitting in a first-class compartment despite having a first-class ticket.[8] Realising the laws are biased against Indians, he then decides to start a nonviolent protest campaign for the rights of all Indians in South Africa. After numerous arrests and unwelcome international attention, the government finally relents by recognising some rights for Indians.Ben Kingsley and Richard Griffiths in Gandhi (1982)In 1915, as a result of his victory in South Africa, Gandhi is invited back to India, where he is now considered something of a national hero. He is urged to take up the fight for India’s independence, (Swaraj, Quit India) from the British Empire. Gandhi agrees, and mounts a nonviolent non-cooperation campaign of unprecedented scale, coordinating millions of Indians nationwide. There are some setbacks, such as violence against the protesters and Gandhi’s occasional imprisonment. The 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre is also depicted in the film.Candice Bergen and Ben Kingsley in Gandhi (1982)Nevertheless, the campaign generates great attention, and Britain faces intense public pressure. In 1930, Gandhi protests against the British-imposed salt tax via the highly symbolic Salt March. He also travels to London for a conference concerning Britain’s possible departure from India; this, however, proves fruitless. After the Second World War,[10] Britain finally grants Indian independence. Indians celebrate this victory, but their troubles are far from over. The country is subsequently divided by religion. It is decided that the northwest area and the eastern part of India (current-day Bangladesh), both places where Muslims are in the majority, will become a new country called Pakistan. It is hoped that by encouraging the Muslims to live in a separate country, violence will abate. Gandhi is opposed to the idea, and is even willing to allow Muhammad Ali Jinnah to become the first prime minister of India, but the Partition of India is carried out nevertheless. Religious tensions between Hindus and Muslims erupt into nationwide violence. Horrified, Gandhi declares a hunger strike, saying he will not eat until the fighting stops. The fighting does stop eventually.Ben Kingsley, Neena Gupta, and Supriya Pathak in Gandhi (1982)Gandhi spends his last days trying to bring about peace between both nations. He thereby angers many dissidents on both sides, one of whom (Godse) is involved in a conspiracy to assassinate him. Gandhi is cremated and his ashes are scattered on the holy Ganga. As this happens, viewers hear Gandhi in another voiceover from earlier in the film.Ben Kingsley in Gandhi (1982)Next to Patton I think this is one of the greatest movies based on a real historical person. The movie is about a lawyer turned great leader. This movie was just fantastic. The cinematography just made me go “WOW”. I can see why it won a lot of academy awards. I recommend this film to everyone.
