When Quahog experiences a snow day during the holiday season, Peter ruins Lois’ grandmother’s antique table in one of his stunts. When they go to the mall to replace it, Chris gets the idea to sit on Santa’s lap and ask for a trampoline, an idea endorsed by Peter, but when the line refuses to move they find the mall is without a Santa. Pressed into service as a replacement, Peter discovers the job comes with numerous benefits. Leaving the Fuzzy Clam in a drunken stupor with dinner, he runs into the real Santa who is annoyed at his behavior and threatens him with the naughty list if he refuses to give up being Santa. Peter calls his bluff and they engage in a war of pranks, but when the real Santa has had enough of such games, he slips his belt as a garrote around Peter’s neck and gives him a final warning to give up the job. Frightened, Peter agrees, but to show there is no hard feelings, Santa gives him a Penthouse as a gift that Peter originally found when he was twelve.Meanwhile, Stewie discovers that Brian has been crashing office Christmas parties in hopes of scoring food and women, although without luck. Stewie turns up to get a laugh at his attempts, but has a great time instead and tags along on further attempts. To liven up an otherwise dead party at a printer company, Stewie threatens the lightest drinkers with dismissal, which inspires the real boss to follow though with the threat and Stewie stays on as an employee. When he realizes that people have lost their jobs because of him, and further threats from the boss, he takes it upon himself to cut the remaining employees checks for $11,000 each, which was the extent of his ability.

All in all, “How the Griffin Stole Christmas” is an enjoyable episode. The funniest joke may have been when they make fun of those weird FarmersOnly.com farmer dating ads. Laughed my ass off. Another great Christmas episode to enjoy around the holiday season.

A VERY SPECIAL FAMILY GUY FREAKIN’ CHRISTMAS

GUEST CAST
Gene Simmons
Paul Stanley
Lois signs Stewie up to star as baby Jesus in a nativity scene at the Quahog Christmas pageant. Stewie plays along in hopes of pleasing Santa, whom he believes is omnipotent and thereby can supply him with plutonium. After Lois repeatedly reminds Peter to donate a present to charity, he mistakenly donates all of the family’s Christmas gifts to a needy kids’ charity. Lois seems unfazed by the mistake, but insists that the entire family shop for new presents at the mall. Peter reluctantly agrees, although he only wants to watch KISS Saves Santa on television; Brian stays behind to keep an eye on the turkey cooking in the oven. While at the mall, Peter finds a pair of barrettes that Meg wanted and ends up chasing down an old lady to a pet fish store called “Age of Aquariums”, where the old lady throws fish food on him so that all the fish jump onto him to feed while the old lady escapes.
Meanwhile at home, an ember shoots onto the family rug from the fireplace. While Brian tries to deal with this crisis, the overcooked turkey begins to burn. Brian finds a fire extinguisher, but to his dismay, it is merely a novelty item filled with plastic snakes, which, upon being released into the fire, promptly explode and make it worse. After using the real fire extinguisher, he slips on the foam from it and the TV falls on top of him. Afterwards the interior of the house is destroyed; Brian escapes, but with his paws burnt hairless. Amazingly, Lois maintains a cheerful attitude, saying that they just need to clean up a bit. However, when Meg tells her that they are out of paper towels, Lois suffers a nervous breakdown and screams at the family about how difficult it is to ensure that Christmas happens without a hitch, then runs from the ruined house on a rampage (Meg then ironically finds some paper towels mere seconds after Lois’ rampage).
Lois storms through town, berating people for their Christmas optimism. When she reaches town square, she climbs the Christmas tree there and grabs the ornamental star on top, bent on destroying it. The rest of the family arrives and Stewie, eager to perform a good deed to earn Santa’s grace, performs an extemporaneous monologue about Jesus and the meaning of Christmas. Lois, watching Stewie, regains her sanity, but Peter, who thinks Lois isn’t getting the message, allows the police to shoot her with a tranquilizer dart, just after she puts the star back on the tree. The next morning at Christmas, the family opens their presents: Stewie gets his plutonium; Peter gets a week’s vacation, a new VCR, and his own copy of Kiss Saves Santa; and Brian gets at what first appears to be a bottle of wine, but actually turns out to be a book. Lois is heavily sedated, sitting limply in a rocking chair and drooling. In the closing scene, the Griffins wish everyone a Merry Christmas (though Lois is still too numb to speak clearly).
The first time we got to see the Griffins celebrate Christmas and its become a classic. loved Stewie’s quote about Jeffrey Hunt. The Kiss saves Santa bits were quite fun too. all in all a great episode to start the holiday season.

ROAD TO THE NORTH POLE

GUEST CAST
Drew Barrymore (Poison Ivy)
David Boreanaz (Bones)
Carrie Fisher (Star Wars)
Bruce McGill (No Ordinary Family)
Ron MacFarlane
Brian takes Stewie to the mall, only to get a rude brush-off from Santa. As a result, Stewie vows to kill Santa for blowing him off and forces Brian to take him to the North Pole. Attempting to trick Stewie, he brings him to a Santa’s Village amusement park. Soon discovering the charade, Stewie threatens to shoot Brian if he does not take him to the real North Pole. Stewie hitches a ride with a trucker and so Brian follows him all the way to Canada. On the way, Stewie accidentally causes a traffic pileup by discharging a flare pistol in the cab of the truck, which catches fire and explodes. Crashing his car in a chain reaction, Brian becomes angry and tells Stewie that Santa does not exist. Stewie becomes frustrated and continues to attempt to hitchhike. The pair then encounter a Canadian who gives them his snowmobile.
Continuing north, they soon run out of gas, but receive help from the Aurora Boreanaz, who instructs them to stay at a nearby cabin. The two survive the night in the cabin and set out on foot the next morning. They finally make it to Santa’s workshop, only to find a dark, gloomy factory in a dreary, polluted, lifeless wasteland, Santa a sickly and somewhat psychopathic old man, the elves horribly inbred and mutated from Santa’s attempt to keep up with the increasing toy demands year after year, and the reindeer carnivorous feral monsters that eat the elves who wandered out into the snow to die of exhaustion. Santa suddenly collapses and is too sick to deliver the presents. Brian and Stewie agree to do it, only to waste time at their first stop and leave, after being discovered by a family, whom they later attack, The reindeer eat each other.
On Christmas morning, everybody wakes up to find no presents under their trees. They turn on the news, which is broadcasting the same story. Brian and Stewie appear on the broadcast and bring the dying Santa out in a wheelchair, explaining that humanity’s greed is killing him and if they don’t shorten their demands to one Christmas present a year, they may have to give up Christmas altogether. Chastened, everyone agrees and, one year later, Santa has recovered, the workshop is once again a lively, colorful Christmassy cottage and the elves and reindeer are all rejuvenated.

JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH

GUEST CAST
Cleo King (Mik & Molly)
Bruce McGill (No Ordinary Family)
Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool)
As the Griffins prepare for Christmas by decorating their tree, Meg finds an ornament of the manger and Peter tells the story of Christmas. Joseph (played by Peter) and his friend Robby (played by Brian) spot Mary (played by Lois) in their village. Joseph introduces himself to her. They have many dates, but Joseph is annoyed by Mary’s reluctance to have sex. Mary claims that she is destined for something special. Later, Mary tells Joseph that she has been visited by an angel (played by Bruce) who told her that God has blessed her with his child. Joseph accepts this. Taking a break from the story, Peter and the family call their Aunt Helen to wish her a merry Christmas. The call does not go well and Peter returns to the story.
On the way to Bethlehem on a mule (played by Meg), Joseph is skeptical about the baby. Elsewhere, three wise men (played by Glenn Quagmire, Cleveland Brown, and Joe Swanson) are inspired to travel to Bethlehem themselves. They stop at the palace of King Herod (played by Carter Pewterschmidt) for water, and talk of their plans to see the Messiah. Herod decides to protect his title and win the love of Jodie Foster (a reference to John Hinckley, Jr.) by killing the child. Mary and Joseph arrive at an inn, but the manager (played by Mort Goldman) denies them a room. Mary goes into labor, and the manager offers them space in a stable. Mary ponders what to call the new child. The angel takes her list of possible names to God, who is inspired to name the child “Jesus” after something the angel said.
The wise men, who are following a light in the sky, argue about the nature of the light; they think it might be an airplane. A doctor tells them of an earlier messiah who was not successful. The wise men arrive with their gifts as the savior is born. A drummer boy (played by Chris) joins them. King Herod arrives with his army and demands the child. Jesus (played by Stewie) transforms the manger into a fighter plane and destroys Herod’s troops with it. After Peter finishes his story, a pregnant couple arrives at the door. They explain that their car broke down and they need help, but Peter, thinking that they’re faking, gives them the cold shoulder and threatens to call the police. When they press their request for help, Peter goes to get his baseball bat.
The Family Guy’s retelling of the Jesus Myth. Family Guy makes the myth far more entertaining than other adaptations. Not as good as Road To The North Pole, but then nothing could beat that one.

CHRISTMAS GUY

GUEST CAST
Tony Sirico (The Sopranos)
The Griffin family goes to Quahog Mall for the annual Christmas Carnival, but they find the festivities have been cancelled, causing Stewie to go on a destructive rampage. Vinny learns that Carter, Lois’s father, canceled the carnival. Peter confronts Carter who tells him that it was cancelled because he hates Christmas. Peter vows to help Carter find his Christmas spirit. Peter tries a fake story letter, making Carter drink egg nog in a hotel room, and having him masturbate, to no effect. When Peter accuses Carter of acting Jewish, Carter reverses his position on the carnival.
Despite being re-established at the Quahog Mall, the Christmas Carnival fails to raise Stewie’s spirits. When the Mall Santa Claus asks Stewie what he wants for Christmas, Stewie realizes he wants Brian back. Vinny pretends to be Brian, acting like an intellectual and a writer, but fails to cheer up Stewie. Trying to raise his spirits, Vinny and Stewie return to the Quahog Mall, where Stewie spots his past self time travelling to purchase a gift. Remembering the time travel occurred prior to Brian’s death, Stewie realizes he can use Past Stewie’s return pad to save Brian. Vinny appeals to Past Stewie’s vanity to obtain his backpack, and brings it to Present Stewie. Stewie says goodbye to Vinny, whom he and the family will no longer have met if Brian lives. Stewie arrives in the past, saving Brian from being hit by the car. After explaining the situation to Brian, Stewie sends the return pad back to his past self in order to prevent a temporal paradox. Now unable to return and having altered his past, Stewie fades from existence as Brian thanks him for his actions. Unaware of what occurred, Past Stewie comes out of the house and wonders who Brian was talking to.
In the present on Christmas Day, Brian is alive and well. Grateful to him for saving his life, Brian thanks Stewie, who remains oblivious to his averted death, as well as his alternate self’s actions.
One of the most memorable Christmas episodes as it b rings back the beloved character Brian,  making Stewie’s Christmas wish come true.

THE 2,000 YEAR OLD VIRGIN

GUEST CAST
Ana Gasteyer (Mean Girls)
Lucas Grabeel (Smallville)
Emily Osment (Mom)
On a trip to the Quahog Mall before Christmas, Peter and Lois bump into Jesus and discover that he is still hanging around Quahog due to not being entirely comfortable dealing with his own home life with God. Jesus invites Peter over to his place. However, since it is a depressing bachelor apartment, Peter invites him out with Glenn Quagmire, Cleveland Brown, and Joe Swanson to have a drink. At the Drunken Clam, they start to plan a birthday party and Jesus tells them that he has never had sex: to make his birthday special, they promise to help him lose his virginity. Their attempts to achieve this fail, upsetting Peter. Lois tries to find out what Jesus likes, but her nice manners cause him to want to sleep with her. Approaching Peter about his issue to help him, Peter is shocked but agrees to help when Jesus promises him an expensive massage chair in return for sleeping with Lois. He lets Lois know about Jesus’ interest in her and she reluctantly agrees.
As they head out together, Peter enjoys his chair at the Drunken Clam. During this time, Peter has a fantasy of Lois and Jesus having sex and has second thoughts. These are confirmed when other members of the bar confirm that Jesus is not a virgin, but pulls this annual stunt every Christmas to have sex with people’s wives. Peter tries multiple ways to get to their liaison to stop things. Peter rushes to the room to find that no cheating took place as Lois decided that their marriage was too good. Jesus applauds their “lesson”, making the excuse that he concocted this charade as a tale of resisting temptation, and leaves them to celebrate their Christmas. On Christmas Day, Rupert gives Stewie a Joni Mitchell CD for Christmas, disappointing him because Stewie had observed Rupert picking out a heart-shaped necklace. As Stewie tearfully listens to “Both Sides, Now” on the CD, he wonders whom the necklace was for, and it is revealed to be for Mayor Adam West.
A great Christmas episode that answers the question as to weather or not Jesus is a Virgin. Seeing Adam West as a crossdresser was quite disturbing thou.

Principal Skinner challenges Superintendent Chalmers to get Bart to be excited about learning something (anything) after Bart’s latest pranks — and finds it in the form of teaching Bart about the life and times of Theodore Roosevelt. However, when Chalmers’ unorthodox teaching methods get him fired, it is up to Bart and the rest of the students who have been motivated by Chalmers to reinstate him.23.4) REPLACEABLE YOU

Homer gets a new assistant named Roz who is secretly out to steal his job. Meanwhile, Bart and Martin create a robot seal that becomes a hit with the elderly crowd at the Springfield Retirement Center.23.5) THE FOOD WIFE

Tired of doing “mom” things and being much less fun for the kids than Homer, Marge takes the family out to an Ethiopian restaurant and enjoys the food so much that she starts a food blog with Bart and Lisa, which hurts Homer’s feelings — and may do more than hurt him when Marge tricks Homer into thinking a rundown building housing a meth lab is a hip, new restaurant.23.6) THE BOOK JOB

When Lisa discovers that her favorite book series (the Angelica Button fantasy series as mentioned in “The Haw-Hawed Couple”) is ghost-written by a group of publishers (with an actress as the “author”), Homer and Bart are inspired to do the same by getting a group of people to write a fantasy novel about ghouls in a prestigious academy — but when an actual publisher plots to turn it into yet another vampire fiction book for tweens, Lisa, Bart, and Homer must save their original work from getting destroyed.23.10) POLITICALLY INEPT, WITH HOMER SIMPSON

Video footage of Homer ranting about being harassed by TSA agents and forced to sit on a grounded plane for seven hours (due to airport incompetence) goes viral and lands Homer on cable television as a political pundit with his own show. But when he stirs up mixed emotions with his planned endorsement of the next GOP Presidential candidate, Marge and Lisa worry that Homer’s opinion and influence might be more powerful than he realizes.23.11) THE D’OH-CIAL NETWORK

Lisa wants more friends and starts her own social network website called SpringFace, but when it turns everyone into an online addict, Lisa begins to realize that adding thousands of friends online did not compare to having real friendships. Meanwhile, Patty and Selma compete against the Winklevoss twins for the 2012 Olympics.23.13) THE DAUGHTER ALSO RISES

Lisa falls in love with Nick, an intellectual romantic, and starts a secret romance with him. Meanwhile, Bart and Milhouse team up with the gang from MythCrackers to debunk some urban schoolyard legends.23.14) AT LONG LAST LEAVE

In the 500th episode, the Simpsons stumble upon a secret town meeting where everyone is voting to throw them out of Springfield. As a result, they find themselves in an off-the-grid community, and when Homer and Marge try to sneak back into Springfield, they are welcomed with hostility from their former friends and neighbors and begin to appreciate their new and more accepting home.23.15) EXIT THROUGH THE KWIK-E-MART

After being forced to spend some time in a rabbit cage for a prank he didn’t commit, Bart exacts revenge by spraypainting unflattering caricatures of Homer all over town, which become a sensation with real-life graffiti artists Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Kenny Scharf, and Robbie Conal. Meanwhile, Apu’s Kwik-E-Mart is in danger of shutting down when it faces competition from a health-food supermarket.23.17) THEM, ROBOT

To get out of paying for employee drug tests, Mr. Burns fires all of his employees (except for Homer, who is kept on as a scapegoat) and replaces them with robot workers; when a bored Homer ups the robots interactive and AI features, all hell breaks loose.23.18) BEWARE THE CHEATING BART

Bart finds himself the object of affection to a girl who is dating school bully Jimbo Jones. Meanwhile, Homer buys a state-of-the-art treadmill that gets wireless TV and uses the treadmill to binge-watch a “Lost”-style show rather than exercise.23.20) THE SPY WHO LEARNED ME

After a disastrous date night at the movies, Homer suffers a head injury the next day at work and, during his eight weeks off to recover (about which he does not tell Marge), sees visions of a super-suave superspy named Stradivarius Cain, who gives Homer lessons on being the husband of Marge’s dreams. Meanwhile, Nelson uses a Smart Phone to shake down kids for their lunch money, and Bart gets revenge on Nelson by feeding him Krusty Burger’s nutritionally dubious food.23.21) NED ‘N EDNA’S BLEND

Ned Flanders and Edna Krabappel elope after months of dating, and Marge later organizes a proper marriage reception for them, which becomes a problem when the many couples of Springfield bring their many personal crises to the party. Meanwhile, Mrs. Krabappel-Flanders helps Rod and Todd make new friends.23.22) LISA GOES GAGA

Eccentric pop star Lady Gaga stops by Springfield to help Lisa (who was voted Springfield Elementary’s least popular student and is now more of an outcast thanks to ghost-writing positive messages on the school’s online forum) and the rest of the town boost their self-esteem.1060026-thumb_500It’s hilarious, comedy, funny, and one of my all time favourite T.V showS .. The series is a satirical depiction of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and parodies American culture, society, television, and many aspects of the human condition. Modern Simpsons episodes are often both overstuffed and under-imagined, resulting in two indifferent, inadequately realized stories. Even though the show has dropped in creativity and in the joke department, it’s still worthy.

SEASON 24 HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE

24.1) MOONSHINE RIVER

The Simpsons return to New York City after Bart discovers that, out of all of the female interests he has had, the only one who continued to like him was Cletus Spuckler’s daughter, Mary who once helped him save a cow, and now that Mary has moved to the Big Apple to be a writer for Saturday Night Live, Bart wants to see her again.24.4) GONE ABIE GONE

Lisa wins a Mapple MyPad for Homer at a school raffle and Homer becomes obsessed with it until he falls and breaks it. An adult Andy Barclay returns home after a bad date and is revealed to have the original Chucky’s head, which is still conscious and deformed after being repeatedly tortured by Andy in retribution for his crimes. Meanwhile, Nica Pierce has spent the past four years in a mental institution after being framed by Chucky for the murders of her family. After years of intense therapy, she now believes she was responsible for the murders and that Chucky was just a manifestation of her psychosis. As a result of her “breakthrough”, her doctor, Dr. Foley, has her transferred to a medium security mental institution. Andy presents Chucky’s severed head to Dr. Foley to convince him of Nica’s innocence, but he dismisses the head as “special effects”.After arriving, Nica becomes part of a regular group therapy session, which is composed of Malcolm, a man with multiple identity disorder, Angela, an old woman who believes herself to be dead, Claire, a woman who burned her house down and Madeleine, a disturbed patient who smothered her infant son to death. Dr. Foley introduces a new therapy technique which involves a Good Guy doll to the group. Most of the patients are deeply unsettled by the doll except for Madeleine, who takes the doll and treats it as her baby.Nica is visited by Tiffany Valentine, who reveals that Nica’s niece, Alice, has died and leaves her a Good Guy doll, which she claims was a gift from Alice. That night, Chucky awakens and finds Nica only to discover that she had attempted suicide by slashing her wrists with one of the spokes of her wheelchair. The next morning, Nica awakens to find that her wrists have been stitched up and that a message stating “not so fast” has been left in a puddle of her blood. She then discovers that Angela has died, apparently of suicide after having her wrists cut and the message “Chucky did it” left in her blood.download (7).jpeAngela’s death leaves the group shaken and after realizing that Valentine was the last name of Charles Lee Ray’s girlfriend, Nica begins to believe that Chucky is real. Believing Madeleine is in danger, Nica has Michael pursue her out to the institution’s graveyard in order to warn her. However, Madeline throws both the doll and Michael into an empty grave. The orderlies rescue Michael, but it is heavily implied that Chucky has transferred his soul into his body. After Claire tries to get rid of the other doll, it bites her leaving Dr. Foley and the orderlies to believe that she is self-harming. Claire becomes hysterical and Dr. Foley and Carlos sedate her and strapping her to a Gurney. After Claire is left alone, one of the Chucky dolls kills her by smashing the skylight in the room and decapitating her with shards of broken glass. In a private session with Dr. Foley, Nica agrees to be hypnotized in order to regain any repressed memories about her involvement in the murders. While hypnotized, it is revealed that Foley has been sexually abusing Nica during their previous sessions. Foley is then hit from behind by Chucky with a glass bottle and offers Nica one of the shards to kill Foley, although she doesn’t go through with it. Foley believes Nica is the one who assaulted him but is willing to keep quiet in order to blackmail her for sexual favors. Meanwhile, Madeleine takes her Good Guy doll and smothers it with a pillow forcing her to confront the repercussions of her real child’s death. The orderlies bury the doll as a form of catharsis for Madeleine.Andy learns about the murders online and realizes that Chucky has somehow managed to transfer his soul into multiple bodies at once. He hatches a plan to end the carnage by sending a Good Guy doll to the facility with a gun inside, cutting its hair so he can tell the difference. Andy arrives at the institution and commits himself by assaulting one of the security guards. Madeleine is visited by her doll, who has risen from the grave and allows him to kill her so she can finally be with her baby again. Foley returns to his office and finds Nica tied in a straight jacket. He attempts to assault her again but is knocked out by one of the Chucky dolls. The other Chucky doll enters, and upon seeing the Good Guy doll Andy sent, awakens him. The three Chuckys reveal that the original Chucky found a voodoo spell on the Internet which allowed him to separate his soul from multiple host bodies. He then reveals that Alice was one of his hosts, but was killed after one of Chucky’s victims fought back against her. Carlos suddenly appears in Dr. Foley’s office and watches Nica surrounded by the three Chucky’s. All the dolls kill Carlos by stabbing him, cutting his stomach open with the broken glass bottle and stabbing him with a screwdriver as Nica looks on in horror. While the short-haired Chucky leaves to kill Andy, one of the other Chucky’s transfers his soul into Nica, granting her body the ability to walk, and stomps Foley’s skull in with the red high heels Foley had earlier placed on her, as retribution for his treatment of Nica. Chucky/Nica wanders the hospital and stumbles upon Michael who shows her the body Ashley claiming that he killed her. Chucky/Nica refuses his claim as he had never actually transferred his soul into his body. Michael breaks down and states that he takes on so many personalities as a way of trying to be someone who matters before being killed by Madeline’s Chucky who cuts through his skull with the screwdriver. The short-haired Chucky attacks Andy in his cell, but after a brief struggle Andy reaches into Chucky’s chest and pulls out the gun, and shoots the doll repeatedly before stomping its head. Andy attempts to shoot Chucky/Nica, but had wasted all of his ammo. The institution is sent into lockdown resulting in Andy being locked inside his cell, Madeline’s Chucky going into hiding, and Chucky/Nica escaping. Chucky/Nica reunites with Tiffany and kiss passionately before driving off together with the Tiffany doll, hinting that the eighth film might be revealed in the future. In a post-credits scene, Andy’s former foster sister Kyle from the second film enters Andy’s house, having been sent by Andy to continue torturing the original Chucky’s severed head.Don Mancini has created another interesting entry in the franchise and there is plenty on offer here for the fans. I would say that whatever Don has planned for the next installment will be more interesting as this one is very much a build up with a lot going on. After the two revelations at the end, one I don’t know what to think because I suppose the loss of innocence plays a part in it and another that breaks new ground and is interesting but I am not sure how Don will play it out. He sets this one up to make you really want to see what happens next and on that note, the film works and is a clever addition to the franchise

HALLOWEEN OF HORROR REVIEW: CURSE OF CHUCKY

Brennan Elliott (Take me Home)
Maitland McConnell  (Killer Movie)
Summer H. Howell (Channel Zero)
Adam Hurtig  (Trench 11)

Twenty-five years after the events of the first film, Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) mysteriously arrives in the mail at the home of paraplegic Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) and her mother Sarah (Chantal Quesnel). Later that night, Sarah is found dead from a stab wound, and her death is ruled as a suicide. Nica is later visited by her sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti), accompanied by her husband Ian (Brennan Elliott), their daughter Alice (Summer H. Howell), live-in nanny Jill (Maitland McConnell), and Father Frank (A Martinez). Alice finds Chucky and is allowed to keep him. That evening, while Alice and Nica are making soup, Chucky secretly pours rat poison into one of the dinner bowls. Father Frank eats the poison and, after leaving the house, is decapitated in a car accident. That night, Nica investigates Chucky on the Internet and finds news articles about the murders tied to both the doll and Charles Lee Ray. Elsewhere, Chucky kicks a bucket of rain water onto the floor’s power outlets, electrocuting Jill and causing a blackout. Barb gets up to check on Alice and is attacked by Chucky, who stabs her in the eye with a kitchen knife. Nica hears Barb’s cries but has to crawl up the stairs. Once upstairs, Nica discovers that Barb is dead and Chucky is alive. When Chucky flees, Nica wakes Ian up in a panic.Ian takes Nica to the garage but is unable to find Alice. He disarms Nica, believing her to be responsible for the murders. Nica tries to explain that Chucky is alive, but Chucky acts like a lifeless doll when Ian looks at him. Ian decides to review the footage from a hidden camera that he planted on Chucky earlier (to get evidence of Barb’s affair with Jill) and learns that Alice is locked in a closet and that Chucky truly is alive. Exposed, Chucky kills Ian with a hatchet before he can act. Nica manages to break out of her restraints and tries to kill Chucky, but Chucky pushes her over a balcony onto the ground floor. When Nica asks why Chucky is doing this, he explains through flashbacks that as Charles Lee Ray, he was a friend of her family and in love with Sarah. Ray killed Nica’s father and kidnapped Sarah while she was pregnant with Nica. When Sarah betrayed him, he stabbed her in the stomach (which resulted in Nica being born paraplegic) and escaped. Ray’s flight from the police ultimately led to his death as a human, which is why he came back to Sarah for revenge. Before Chucky can kill Nica, she fights back, leading to an extended scuffle. Officer Stanton (Adam Hurtig) arrives at the house, but sees Nica holding the bloody knife after finding Barb’s body. A motionless Chucky watches from a nearby chair. Some time later, Nica is found guilty of the murders and sent to a mental asylum. Chucky is retained by the police as an exhibit for her trial. The arresting officer gets in his car and sees Chucky breathing in the bag. He is killed by Tiffany, who had been hiding in the backseat. Tiffany collects Chucky and asks, “Who’s next?” Meanwhile, Alice, now living with her grandmother, comes home from school to find Chucky waiting for her. Chucky persuades Alice to play “Hide The Soul”, and starts the infamous voodoo chant to transfer his soul into Alice’s body. The grandmother, who Chucky has attacked but did not kill, sits up suddenly, suffocating in a plastic bag, shortly after Chucky begins the chant. In a post-credits scene set six months later, Chucky, still in his doll body, is delivered to the now-adult Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent). When Andy turns his back to answer a phone call from his mother, Chucky cuts his way out of the package with a knife. Andy, who had anticipated Chucky coming after him again, shoots Chucky with a gun.The story does take the series full circle linking it to the original and other sequels, plus we get a few nice cameos towards the end. Overall its really worth checking out if your a fan, its fits in so well with the rest of this amazing horror gem of a franchise

HALLOWEEN OF HORROR REVIEW: SEED OF CHUCKY

CAST

Brad Dourif (Alien Resurrection)
Jennifer Tilly (Liar Liar)
Billy Boyd (Lord of The Rings)
Redman (How High)
Hannah Spearritt (Agent Cody Banks 2)
John Waters (Hairspray)
Jason Flemyng (From Hell)

Glen, the kind and benevolent son of Chucky and Tiffany, has a nightmare in which he murders a little girl’s parents. In reality, he is living a life of embarrassment and abuse as a ventriloquist’s dummy. After being forced to perform and locked inside a cage, Glen sees Chucky and Tiffany on television.

Desperate to know his parents, Glen tracks Chucky and Tiffany down to Hollywood, where they are first shown killing a man who is dressed as Santa Claus for a movie. Glen manages to escape his abusive owner, hitch a ride on a truck, and mail himself in a box to California. He wakes up in the prop room of Jennifer Tilly’s horror film, which includes the Chucky and Tiffany dolls. Glen uses the same voodoo amulet to bring them back to life. When Chucky (voice of Brad Dourif) finds out that Glen is his child, he faints. However, Tiffany (voice of Jennifer Tilly) is delighted and hugs her child. Chucky and Tiffany argue over whether Glen is a boy or a girl, due to his lack of genitals (though he is evidently a male). Chucky decides to continue labeling him as a boy, while Tiffany labels him as a girl, calling him “Glenda.”When a puppeteer Tony Gardner begins taking Tiffany apart, she and Chucky decapitate him with a piano wire, leaving Glen shocked and horrified. Jennifer Tilly sees the beheaded body and calls the police. Chucky, Tiffany, and Glen ride home with her in a limousine. Glen, having witnessed his mom and dad kill the puppeteer, asks them why they murder others, as he feels that violence is bad. Chucky replies that it helps them to relax, but Tiffany, feeling parental responsibility, agrees with Glen and forces Chucky to join her in an attempt to stop killing people for the sake of their son. Chucky only pretends to agree, crossing his fingers behind his back, hoping to get Tiffany to shut up.Jennifer tries to get a role as the Virgin Mary in Redman’s directorial debut, but after he tells her that she isn’t right for the part, she invites him over to her house. Chucky and Tiffany make plans to transfer their souls into Redman and Jennifer. Jennifer and Redman start to make love, only for Tiffany to knock them out. While they are unconscious, Tiffany uses a turkey baster to inseminate Jennifer with Chucky’s semen.Chucky leaves and takes Glen with him. After driving Britney Spears’ car off the road, killing her, they proceed to go to a photographer’s darkroom. The photographer, Pete Peters (John Waters), had taken pictures of Tilly kissing Redman and of Chucky masturbating. When Peters turns around, he notices Chucky is gone. Peters slowly walks around his lab looking for Chucky, who was hiding on a shelf. As Chucky is about to attack, Glen tries to warn Peters that Chucky will kill him, only for Peters to bump into a shelf, causing a jar of sulphuric acid to fall into his head, accidentally killing him. Chucky, overjoyed with pride, believes Glen did this on purpose and takes a picture to celebrate, much to Glen’s and Tiffany’s dismay.Jennifer awakens the following morning, realizes that she is pregnant and claims that Redman is responsible, though he denies this. Angered, Tiffany kills him. The next day, Jennifer is horrified to find herself with a fully pregnant belly. The voodoo magic that fuels the killer dolls has also accelerated the pregnancy. Jennifer is captured by Chucky. Her chauffeur, Stan, serving as Chucky’s replacement body due to Redman’s death, is also captured. Jennifer’s assistant Joan (Hannah Spearritt) tries to help her, but she is brutally killed by Glen’s murderous twin sister, Glenda, whose soul shares Glen’s body. Tiffany discovers this and smacks Glenda to bring back Glen, who is horrified at what has happened.Jennifer gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl, and it is then that Chucky has an epiphany. After years of being an infamous killer doll, Chucky finally accepts his circumstances. Disturbed, Tiffany rejects Chucky and resolves to take Glen with her. Chucky tries to throw a knife at Tiffany, but Stan jumps in front of it to save her, causing him to be stabbed in his chest, and he tells Jennifer that he loves her before he dies. The police arrive, forcing the dolls to flee. Jennifer is rushed to the hospital but claims she wants to see her babies. Tiffany drugs Jennifer and begins to possess her, but Chucky breaks in and kills Tiffany with an ax. Before Tiffany dies, she tells Glen to not make the same mistakes his mom and dad have made. Devastated by his mother’s death, Glen finally snaps and challenges Chucky to a fight. Jennifer throws Chucky’s axe to Glen, and Glen impales Chucky. Chucky assumes it’s Glenda again, but Glen reveals that it’s actually him, finally able to kill in revenge for his mother’s death. As he says this, he brings the axe down, dismembering Chucky limb by limb, calling him “Daddy” and asking if he’s finally proud of him. Chucky says that he is and he congratulates Glen right before the final, fatal blow. Realizing what he has done, Glen suffers an emotional breakdown and Jennifer comforts him.Five years later, at Glen and Glenda’s birthday party, a nanny quits her job because Jennifer’s daughter Glenda scares her. Jennifer lets the nanny quit, only to kill her when she turns away. Jennifer’s eyes glow green, revealing that Tiffany was successful in possessing Jennifer’s body. Glen has one more birthday present to open, an anonymous gift. When he opens it, Chucky’s severed arm springs up to grab Glen and Chucky’s trademark laugh is heard as the screen goes black.Full marks to Jennifer Tilly who not only voices Tiffany, but stars as herself and mercilessly sends herself up, portraying herself as an evil human, not an awful lot better than the evil dolls. So, expect more killing and bloodshed, only this time played for laughs rather than scares, not the best in the franchise but still a worth entry.
