Brahms: The Boy II (2020)A home invasion leaves Liza with a head injury and her son Jude traumatized and silent for months. Along with Sean, Liza’s husband and Jude’s father, they move across country to the Heelshires’ property. While exploring the woods, Jude finds a porcelain doll buried in a shallow grave in the ground and dusts off the dirt before deciding to take him home. Liza and Sean believe he is using the doll to express his feelings but it becomes more sinister with the doll laying down his rules. Jude becomes withdrawn in his room, carrying the doll with him wherever he goes.Brahms: The Boy II (2020)The parents soon learn the evil history of the doll, with all the killings and suicides. More unusual incidents happen, like the dining room table collapsing when Jude warns his mother not to make the doll angry. Liza also sees horrific and violent drawings in Jude’s notepad. Jude’s Uncle Liam, Aunt Mary, cousins Will and Sophie visit. Jude, Will and Sophie go play outside and something happens to one of the children. Groundskeeper Joseph enters the house, aiming a shotgun at Liza. He begins telling the story of how Brahms asked him to put him back together, making Jude an easy target for the doll as he was not strong-willed.Katie Holmes, Owain Yeoman, and Christopher Convery in Brahms: The Boy II (2020)He then tells her that Brahms will take Jude away forever. Liza attacks Joseph with the shotgun, before beginning to search for her son. She goes into the basement and finds Jude in a trance-like state, ready to sacrifice himself with the doll. Liza manages to convince Jude that they will take Brahms home and become a family, without seeing Sean come in and break Brahms’ head with a croquet mallet before Joseph comes running in. Brahms’ head shatters, revealing a demonic doll underneath, more sinister than the porcelain innocent face. Brahms then kills Joseph without hesitation.Brahms: The Boy II (2020)Jude picks Brahms up, convincing him they will be fine before tossing the doll into the fire. The family embrace and return to their home, living happily as before the home invasion incident. At night, Jude puts on his Brahms face mask.Christopher Convery in Brahms: The Boy II (2020)It’s not a bad movie. You’ll be entertained. It’s just a missed opportunity in my opinion. The script needed a another pass.

In 1938 Egypt, a team of archaeologists discover the tomb of pharaoh Ahkmenrah, including a young Cecil Fredericks, finding the magical Tablet of Ahkmenrah. The locals warn the group that removing the tablet will end its magic. In present day New York City, Larry Daley remains the night guard of the American Museum of Natural History. He, Theodore Roosevelt, Sacagawea, Attila the Hun, Jedediah, Octavius and Dexter the capuchin monkey help re-open the Hayden Planetarium. A new wax Neanderthal resembling Larry named Laaa is introduced, identifying Larry as his father. Ahkmenrah shows Larry that the tablet is corroding, which later causes the exhibits to act erratically, causing mayhem at the planetarium’s reopening. Afterwards, Larry catches his son Nick throwing a house party, who plans on taking a gap year to sort out his life.Larry reunites with Cecil, now in retirement, who realises the end of the tablet’s magic will cause the exhibits to become lifeless. Cecil explains Ahkmenrah’s parents, Merenkahre and Shepseheret, may be able to restore the tablet’s power, but are located in the British Museum. Larry convinces the museum’s curator, Dr. McPhee, to let him ship Ahkmenrah to London to restore the tablet, convinced that McPhee knows its secrets. Larry and Nick travel to the British Museum, bypassing the night guard Tilly. To Larry’s surprise, Roosevelt, Sacagawea, Attila, Jed, Octavius, Dexter, and Laaa have come as well. Laaa is left to stand guard while the others search the museum, the tablet bringing its own exhibits to life. They are joined by a wax Sir Lancelot who helps them fight off the aggressive museum exhibits like a Xiangliu statue and a Triceratops skeleton. Jedediah and Octavius fall through a ventilation shaft, but are rescued from an erupting Pompeii model by Dexter. The group find Ahkmenrah’s parents, learning the tablet’s power can be regenerated by moonlight, since it is empowered with the magic of Khonsu. Lancelot mistakes the tablet for the Holy Grail and steals it, leaving to find Camelot. Larry and Laaa are locked in the employee break room by Tilly but escape, Laaa remaining behind to distract Tilly, but they become attracted to each other.Lancelot crashes a performance of the musical Camelot, starring Hugh Jackman and Alice Eve as King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, but Larry and the others chase him to the theatre roof, where the New York exhibits begin to die. Lancelot then sees that the quest was about them and gives the tablet back. The moonlight restores the tablet’s power, saving the exhibits. They decide that Ahkmenrah and the tablet should stay with his parents, even if it means the New York exhibits will no longer come to life. Back in New York, Larry spends some final moments with his friends before sunrise. Three years later, Larry now works as a teacher, and a travelling British Museum exhibit comes to New York. Tilly becomes the new night guard, and gives the tablet to Dr. McPhee, showing him its power, and allowing the exhibits to awaken again. Outside, Larry watches them party inside.Fans of the franchise will be pleasantly surprised by the heartfelt and sentimental Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. The thoughtfulness and homages to ancient history are present and the jokes have a wide enough range to make any age giggle.

Melissa Benoist in Supergirl (2015)With The Maid of Might’s third season we find ourselves given a very different Supergirl as Season Three opens. Following last year’s heartstring-tearing romance with Mon-El, we find a Kara who is now all business. Kara Danvers is on the backburner, as Kara Zor-El fully throws herself into the superhero game. But as ever, new threats, new questions, and new revelations await just around the corner for the Girl of Steel.Melissa Benoist in Supergirl (2015)First and foremost, let’s just put it out there: Supergirl is an utter joy to watch. In terms of bringing a comic book character to life, this CW series is a fantastic example of how to do that so well. Never afraid to be fun, loud, and imaginative, Supergirl manages to be pure spectacle whilst similarly retaining a true sense of heart. And there’s certainly plentiful heartfelt beats in this third year. While Kara herself is questioning her place in the world, newcomer Samantha (Odette Annable) soon finds herself undergoing her own personal struggle as the nefarious Worldkiller known as Reign begins to cause all kinds of chaos and carnage in National City. As Samantha becomes BFFs with Kara, Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), and Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), she has to rely on her new pals to help her with her ever-expanding problems. But it’s not merely Kara and Samantha who are on their own personal journeys here, for Supergirl again does what Supergirl has done so well previously: it makes each and every one of its core cast feel like a major deal, a real person with their own purpose in the show and not just simply there to fill the narrative or to let the show’s titular heroine take all of the spotlight.Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin in Supergirl (2015)As ever, Melissa Benoist is absolutely note perfect as both Kara Danvers and Kara Zor-El, proving to be vulnerable yet strong, human yet otherworldly, naive yet wise. With familiar faces and newbies all excelling in their respective roles, Benoist’s charming, multi-layered performance is just the tip of the iceberg, with Supergirl proving to again reward both newcomers to the character and those who are more well-versed in Super-lore. And that’s so often one of Supergirl’s greatest traits, that it feels so all-encompassing, be it in the array of different characters on display or in its approach to its audience.Supergirl (2015)After a slightly rocky start at CBS for its debut year, Supergirl has gone from strength to strength, and Season Three is the most intriguing, engaging, and spectacular season of the series to date. In fact, there’s a strong argument to be made that this most recent season is right up there as one of the best seasons offered up by the Arrowverse, period.

At the end of the last season things were getting pretty hairy on a couple of different fronts. The subterranean abnormals who live inside the Earth have decided that they want their chance in the sun and three armies march out of caves in different parts of the planet. If that wasn’t bad enough, Magnus is battling an old companion, Adam Worth, who manages to open up a hole in time and slip back to the 1800’s with the aim of curing his terminally ill daughter. This will change the time stream irrevocably, so Magnus follows him on his one-way journey into the past in order to stop him.Christopher Heyerdahl in Sanctuary (2008)This season opens with Magnus in 19th Century London, following Worth. He manages to wound her and escape, so she turns to one person she knows she can trust, he husband at the time, James Watson Together they have to stop Worth, but even if they do, how will Magnus manage to return to the 21stCentury? She does manage it, but it takes a very long time. Meanwhile Will has been put in charge of the New York Sanctuary by the Sanctuary Network, that mysterious body that runs the various abnormal shelters around the world. He’s having a rough time, as the US military wants to actually attack the invading army, especially after there’s a revolt in the refugee compound that’s housing several Hollow Earth abnormals in which the subterranean creatures take hostages and threaten to kill them. No one in authority will take Will’s calls, and withMagnus MIA he’s clearly out of his depth.Robin Dunne and Pascale Hutton in Sanctuary (2008)After that crisis, and Magnus’ return, things are different. The government is very leery of abnormals and they create a department, SCUI, to hunt down the Hollow Earth creatures that are still on the surface. Either imprisoning the abnormals that they capture or using them for experiments it’s a race between the bad military and the saintly Sanctuary to see who can locate and capture the renegade abnormals first. There are some very good episodes in this season. Monsoon, where Magnus is held hostage by some abnormal crooks while in an airport in Africa was a high point. Seeing the unarmed Magnus take out a group of ex-military super-humans was delightful.Amanda Tapping and Pascale Hutton in Sanctuary (2008)The series does wrap up (though there is room for more adventures) It was nice that the show did get a coda. All in al lSanctuary was an excellent show that lasted four seasons and left room for more stories to be told shold Syfy every decide to bring it back.

Twenty years after the last Power Rangers theatrical release, the sci-fi series returns with an updated visual style and reconfigured storyline, as the Saban Entertainment property moves from 20th Century Fox to Lionsgate. Unlike the TV program (still running after 24 seasons), the feature films faded away after 1997’s Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, the follow-up to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, released two years earlier.
This version creatively reimagines the Power Rangers’ origins by establishing them as a team of intergalactic protectors, which certainly provides a high degree of flexibility for potential future iterations. Its worldwide appeal should assure satisfactory initial results.

An opening flashback reveals that the original Power Rangers were actually humanoid-like extraterrestrials, arriving on earth millions of years ago as Zordon (Bryan Cranston) and his team of Rangers attempted to defend the planet from power-hungry alien invader Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks). When an errant meteor strikes, Zordon’s Rangers are all killed and he almost perishes before his loyal robot assistant Alpha 5 (Bill Hader) saves him by uploading his consciousness into their spacecraft’s computer system, while Rita’s body is consigned to the depths of the ocean. Digitally imprisoned within the ship indefinitely, Zordon will have to wait until the power coins that enable the development of Ranger superpowers are discovered sometime in the distant future before he can be freed.More than 60 million years later, a decrepit gold mine outside the rural California town of Angel Grove attracts the attention of outcast teen tech-whiz Billy (RJ Cyler), who’s focused on a project started by his late father to unearth a mysterious energy source within the mountainside. Billy gets some unexpected assistance from disgraced football star Jason (Dacre Montgomery), who needs his help hacking the tracking anklet the local police department forces him to wear after he’s apprehended for staging a disastrous high school prank. It turns out that some other marginalized teens are also drawn to the mountain, including bad boy Zack (Ludi Lin), ostracized cheerleader Kimberly (Naomi Scott) and (in one of the first representations of an LGBTQ superhero character) gay-questioning Trini (Becky G).
After Billy’s homemade explosive device blows away the wall of the mine, they discover the buried power coins and quickly begin developing unexpected super-abilities, including incredible strength and agility. It’s not until they discover Zordon’s buried spaceship and encounter Alpha 5, however, that they begin to understand their anointed role as Zordon’s next team of Power Rangers. As the kids struggle to control their newfound talents, the revival of Rita from deep beneath the ocean snaps their situation into sharp focus when she arrives in Angel Grove seeking Zordon and begins destroying the town. If the Rangers can’t find a way to come together and form a cohesive team, they’ll never be able to defeat Rita and save the world from her destructive ambitions.
For longtime fans, the newest installment preserves some of the most beloved characteristics of the original franchise, updated to reflect technological advances. The Rangers’ color-coded power suits now benefit from nanoparticle properties and the robotic mecha assault vehicles known as Zords that they pilot take on enhanced battle capabilities, while Rita’s menacing sidekicks the Putties and the gigantic warrior Goldar get more polished, fluid CGI representations. (And yes, the “Go Go Power Rangers” theme song makes a triumphant return.)

Screenwriter John Gatins succeeds in effectively distilling the Power Rangers’ sprawling mythology into a manageable scope and dialing back the campy humor and martial arts fixations that characterized the TV series and liberally informed the feature films. The current version instead emphasizes more realistic dramatic situations by imbuing each Ranger with some type of personal issue. Whether they’re dealing with bullying, alienation or sexual orientation, these teens are more three-dimensional than their Ranger predecessors.Standing out in a field of largely emerging young talent, Cyler (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) strikes a heartfelt balance between Billy’s obsessive and creative tendencies, playing them against one another for both humor and emotional impact. Cranston as the pompous alien with unrealistic expectations and Hader as the ever-optimistic robot form a resourceful if unexpected comedic team, but can’t quite match Banks for Rita’s sheer delightfulness , she is having fun and it shows oin the big screen.Israelite, building on his experience with teen sci-fi feature Project Almanac, orchestrates a vastly more complex array of characters, action set pieces and technical resources for a combined effect that maintains dramatic tension. CGI characters and special effects sequences by Weta Workshop are seamlessly integrated and consistently thrilling. This is a brilliant retelling the classic story for a new age.

Will Seattle become the capital of the zombie homeland? In season three, Liv has discovered there are more zombies living in Seattle than she previously believed, including a private military contractor employing a zombie army that is preparing for the day humans learn of their existence. Major finds acceptance in this army, and Liv and Clive investigate the murder of a zombie family that may set off an all-out zombie-human war. Ravi’s former boss at the Center for Disease Control shows up in Seattle to investigate the Max Rager massacre. Blaine finds living as a human with no memory of his evil past is more blessing than curse. Peyton pulls at a thread in one of her cases that may lead to the villain that’s pulling all the strings. This action-packed season will see Liv take on the traits of a dominatrix, a Jackass style stunt man, an office gossip, a pre-school teacher, a conspiracy theorist, a dungeon master, and more.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON ARE:

3.1) Heaven Just Got a Little Bit Smoother

Vivian Stoll is the new owner of the company Fillmore-Graves. Her military team bombs the building to destroy evidence of the zombie outbreak. Frustrated with Blaine’s amnesia, Don E. allies with Angus, Blaine’s father, to form a rival company to Blaine’s. Liv, Major, and Clive visit Vivian at her office, where she tells them that most of her company employees are zombies who are undergoing military training to defend themselves if humans attack them on “D-Day”, or “Discovery Day”, the day when humans find out about zombies. Ravi tells Liv that he is upset about Blaine and Peyton’s growing attraction to each other. Ravi shows Clive the experiments he’s been conducting to restore memory loss, a side-effect of the zombie cure. At a radio show, Billy, one of the security guards of Max Rager, who was there during the outbreak, announces live that he saw zombies eating people. When no one else will hire him, Major gets a job at Fillmore-Graves as a mercenary. Dr. Kupps, Ravi’s old boss, examines a body found at Max Rager’s. Liv and Ravi go to a murder scene to find Clive devastated, since he knew the murder victims; they were zombies. Liv and Clive realize that some humans know of the existence of zombies and are attacking them.3.2) Zombie Knows Best

Liv and Major eat the brains of Stan and his daughter Cindy, respectively. Liv, acting like a 40-year-old, tries to relate to Major, who is acting like a 15-year-old. Major has a vision of Cindy showing something on her phone from a friend, Winslow, to her father, which he tells her to take to the police. Vivian announces her intention to have District Attorney Baracus elected mayor. Clive, Major, and Liv investigate Winslow’s family. Liv has a vision of Cindy’s phone revealing Winslow’s step-father committed statutory rape. They find a parental controls app on Winslow’s phone revealing Winslow’s mother knew about the relationship between her husband and Winslow. She confesses and she and her husband are arrested. Cavanaugh interviews Clive about the murder of Wally and his family. Clive is revealed to have been a neighbor of the family. During a domestic disturbance, Clive arrested Wally’s father. Over time Clive grew close to the family including regular dinners and babysitting Wally. When Wally’s father was about to be released from prison, Anna and Wally moved from the apartment to avoid Wally’s father. Unfortunately for Clive, he was on a two-weeks case and unable to say goodbye.3.3) Eat, Pray, Liv

Major takes some time getting used to training and the new lunches being offered. After failing several exercises, he becomes friends with a man who used to be a DJ, Justin. Meanwhile, Liv eats the brain of a mindfulness instructor, channeling his zen personality. As Clive and Liv investigate his death, Liv proves to be less than useful due to her lack of visions. Major invites his new friend for dinner, but has a coughing fit. Blaine settles into his new job as a lounge singer and spends some time with Peyton. Meanwhile, Blaine’s father and Don E. set up their new business, the “Scratching Post”. Ravi tries to convince Blaine to try the memory serum that he has been working on. Blaine agrees to take the serum in order to help Major. Clive and Liv interrogate an old friend of the mindfulness instructor, and accuse him of being the killer, thanks to Clive’s detective skills. Later, when Peyton confronts him, Ravi finally admits his feelings for her, which causes catastrophic results.3.4) Wag the Tongue Slowly

Liv eats the brain of an office gossip after she is poisoned to death by a yogurt. Delving into the gossip surrounding the sales company, Liv receives many complaints about the victim. Liv and Clive also review possible suspects for the murder of Wally and his family by scouting an online Anti-Zombie forum. Major has another coughing fit, but is saved in the nick of time by using a special inhaler. Ravi gives Major the cure and tells him to use it only in case of emergency. Peyton looks after Blaine while he waits for Ravi’s serum to kick in, which makes them grow closer. Clive and Liv track down a man whose brother was killed in the outbreak at Max Rager, but don’t have any solid evidence to tie him to Wally’s murder. Meanwhile, Major finally finds Natalie and gives her Ravi’s cure.3.5) Spanking The Zombie

Fillmore-Graves mercenaries fight overseas and end a hostage situation. During the battle, Major receives numerous stab wounds. His condition begins to deteriorate as his wounds fail to heal. Meanwhile, Liv eats the brain of a dominatrix named Roxanne Greer who was strangled in her dungeon by her own whip. Although she was cremated, Ravi kept her brain to test his memory loss cure on. After investigating the crime scene, Liv and Clive find that Greer taped all her sessions, but the memory card is missing. They suspect that the killer could be anyone from her client list, which includes D.A. Baracus, Johnny Frost, and Brent Stone. Later, Liv and Clive find that the killer is the victim’s neighbor, who used the tapes to blackmail her clients. Don E. has trouble finding employees for the Scratching Post. He later meets up with Blaine’s old buyer of utopium and offers him a job in exchange for supplying him with more. Later, Ravi is ready to cure Major, but Liv stops him, knowing that Major would die from his stab wounds if turned human. She buys them more time and, the next morning, Major takes the cure despite the risk of memory loss.3.6) Some Like It Hot Mess

Major begins to regain his humanity after taking the cure, but both Liv and Ravi fear what will happen if he loses his memories for good. Clive investigates the murder of a narcissistic DJ, and when Liv eats her brain, she begins to act out and behave irresponsibly. One of Don E.’s clients offers him $1 million for Ravi’s cure, but the latter refuses to sell it. However, Don E.’s suggestion that Blaine is merely faking his memory loss to get a fresh start intrigues Ravi, and he mentions it to Peyton. Later, Blaine admits that, while he did initially lose his memory, it returned in a couple of days, and he pretended otherwise in a bid to win Peyton’s affections. Major returns to his family just as his memories fade, but they soon come back. Clive deduces that the victim’s roommate is the murderer, and is surprised to learn that Liv intends to take the cure herself and become human. However, someone steals Ravi’s supplies from the morgue. When Major returns, he reveals that he did have one last syringe that Ravi gave him earlier, but had already given it to Natalie.3.7) Dirt Nap Time

Clive is shocked to find that Liv is still a zombie; nevertheless, he has her eat the brain of a murdered preschool teacher who engaged in multiple affairs with his students’ mothers. Meanwhile, Peyton agrees to help the public defender representing the suspect from the dominatrix murder convince his client to take a plea deal. However, a high-priced lawyer persuades him to reject the deal, and he later commits suicide in his cell. Major reveals to Justin, his close friend at Fillmore-Graves, that he is human again. Clive and Liv are able to locate a private investigator hired by the husband of one of the victim’s partners, learning that the husband is the real killer. Don E. informs Blaine that he is buying out his business with the help of Blaine’s assistant, Candy; one of his men then shoots and severely wounds Blaine on his father’s orders. Major and Justin are sent to intercept two anti-zombie militants planning to kill District Attorney Baracus, but in the process, Justin gets run over and attacks Harley Johns and a fellow militant, unintentionally providing them with video evidence that zombies are real.3.8) Eat a Knievel

Vivian holds a meeting with Major, Liv, and Clive to discuss the fallout after the release of the zombie footage; afterwards, she takes Major off active duty after confirming that he is no longer a zombie before dying in an accident when her helicopter explodes. An Internet stuntman, Finn Vincible, is killed when a performance goes horribly wrong, and Liv eats his brain to determine that a prank he pulled on his friend, Rudy, is connected to his death. Blaine, having narrowly escaped death by bribing the hitman, reveals his survival to Don E., who then informs his father. Clive and Liv search Rudy’s house and discover that his wife had an affair with Finn, which angered Rudy so much that he decided to murder him. Blaine abducts his father and imprisons him in a well, taking over his business. Vivian’s brother-in-law, Chase Graves, arrives and assumes control of Fillmore-Graves, declaring that its soldiers must begin preparations for “Discovery Day”. Liv disguises herself as a human and tries to infiltrate an anti-zombie meeting along with Ravi, but is forced to leave him behind when she nearly gets recognized.3.9) Twenty Sided, Die

At the meeting, Harley Johns reveals his plan to capture a zombie and turn it vicious. Ravi persuades the group against it. Afterwards, he meets Rachel, an enthusiastic photographer. Blaine begins to test the brains infused with Ravi’s serum to determine its effects. After a Dungeons & Dragons club’s gamemaster is poisoned, Liv and Clive learn that his fellow players were bitter about dying during a recent quest. Major receives a letter from Shawna, a woman who the false accusations against him. Peyton learns more about the dominatrix case. With few leads, Liv organizes a game with Major, Ravi, Clive and Peyton. During the round, Liv has a vision that reveals the victim was a hacker. The FBI takes the case with Clive’s ex-girlfriend, Dale Bozzio, as lead. Don E. eats a large part of Blaine’s infused brains and has a severe episode at the bar. He flees and is captured by Harley’s men and brought to Ravi. Elsewhere, Baracus is shot at a fundraiser by an unknown militant sniper and nearly loses control before Liv is able to calm him. However, the militant escapes. Later, Blaine’s rival, Stacey Boss, returns to Seattle looking for revenge.3.10) Return of The Dead Guy

Mr. Boss steals diamonds from his wife, while the militants prepare to torture Don E.
